Yeah I had this problem too. Shift raises and lowers the anchor. You can tell if it's up or down if a paddle or sail icon shows up above the wind direction icon on the right when you try to go forward. Hope this helps. I'm trying to figure out how to make it fly.

Yeah this isn't even worth doing without devcommands. Here's a link that explains how to activate them: https://www.pcgamer.com/valheim-cheats-console-commands/ It's so worth it!

Is it just me, or does this thing move faster on rudder than with sails?

Spoiler

While you are holding the Steering wheel you need to press LShift once, this will pull up the anchor and you can move freely.

Has anyone else had issues with their ships anchoring slanted? Even when I go back down to the water and back up in the air it still acts like this. I don't know why it started doing this. I have logged out and back in and it still does it.

Great mod, amazing when mining ores in the enemy territory especially if you are using hard mods like Epic Valheim.

Pro Tips: 1) There is no point in using this mod if you are not activating the console, building on water is impossible and always will have inconsistencies.
              2) Use BuildCamera mod, it will help you a lot with building huge ships. Though due to a glitch there is a specific way you should use this mod. Before activating Build Camera in-game make sure your cross-hair is looking on open space water\sky etc, usually it is a good idea to stand on the edge of a ship and look down or up. Otherwise Build Camera won't work properly meaning you'll be able to move the camera around the ship, but your build pieces would stack in place near your avatar.
               3) If you are using the valheimplus mod, don't forget to increase maximumPlacementDistance for better experience.

When you activate Valheim Plus on GPortal, you must hit "Save" to actually implement it. I was having the exact issue you were having, even after toggling ValheimPlus on, but it wasnt staying on until I hit "Save". Hope this helps.
