FNVEedit access violation error

There might be some leftover config files in the AppData folder. You can go there by typing %appdata% in the search bar of the start menu. There is also another folder next to AppData in the same parent folder that may also hold some configuration files but I can't recall its name right now. It's a good idea, I think, to have a look at these folders but Windows also stores settings in the registry, that you access with regex.exe.

As you can see a program installed on Windows usually leaves a mess and it's better to use an uninstaller instead of manually removing stuff. Though I'm not sure what's up with something that you just extract somewhere and run, it's probably the same. Bulk Crap Uninstaller is a good one, I've used it myself, it's open source and all that, so I can recommend it with a clear conscience.

Thanks a lot, I deleted Plugins.fnvviewsettings from AppData/ Local/ FalloutNV and it reset FNVEdit back to factory values.
