@TheInquizitor: I wasn't able to replicate the problem you had, but found a potential issue and sent a patch. Could you check if the tag blocking is working as intended for you, now?

Hi, articles notifications are indeed triggered by the same option as file notifications ("Receive notifications for files you are tracking"), so you shouldn't receive any of those. We had a look in our database and there are no notifications of that kind at the moment. Could you please let us now the next time a new article notification of this kind pops up, without deleting the notification? That would make it easier for us to find where the problem lies. Thanks!

What was the other OS you were using Opera with? We tested the new image upload system in Windows 7 and I can comfirm that it works well with Opera 29.0, as well as with FF, Chrome and IE
