  1. I finally give up. I've been trying, everytime I play this game to make a decent looking character and I can't wrap my brain around the asinine character creator. I've got looks menu even and that other mod that adds even more rotation options for everything and still I can't get anything decent no matter how long I tweak. Look at what I could make with Skyrim. I'm using the anime race mod right now because I've tried and tried and just ugh. Seriously I couldn't even stomach playing Bethesda games without modders making decent character creators and looksmenu is great but I just have no idea how to use it like at ALL. For Skyrim I used to use Enhanced Character Edit. Is there some secret everybody knows with this game I don't? Because I couldn't make an appealing character in FO4 if my life depended on it. It's gotten to the point where I've considered trying and probably failing hard to learn how to port models from other games with character creators that are more intuitive to use. Help me out fellow FO4 players, how did you use the limited tools to make something good, or is there maybe a mod or tool I just don't know about?
  2. About Vortex... is this a virtual install only? In other words, do mods never install to the actual Skyrim folder? I'm highly concerned because I'm a mod user that likes to tweak mods to my taste. This often means installing them and editing/replacing installed files as needed which I don't see being possible with a fully virtual install? If that's the case then Vortex can never serve me as well as NMM. As I speak my Skyrim contains numerous mods that have to be installed and then customized by moving/replacing/editing files that are installed in the folder. So what's the deal here?
  3. Good stuff. I've been avoiding MO since I like to physically see the files in my folder annnnd I was worried I wouldn't be able to edit them in the CK with MO. I'd love to be able to have the benefits of MO while still keeping my files accessible so I can edit them if I feel like it. Not to mention my animations are not from one mod either, I've taken single files across several mods to use my favorite animations from each mod since some mods have great combat animations but no sprinting with weapons drawn animations that suit my taste. I've avoided switching since I feared having a virtual install might get in the way of that and of course because I'd have to reinstall everything. I hope you really will be able to combine all the features. I suspect the best way to approach it would be allow the user to possibly turn on and off any and all features as well as during the first installation an option to choose NMM simple interface or MO complex interface as your default. Although, I'm sure you've already thought of that.
  4. This is CLEARLY something with ELFX. I just updated it after years (been using 0.42 without issues) and it blurs the f*** out of my underwater and f*#@s up mny enb rain. I don't know what it is yet but I'm gonna get to the bottom of it. I just enabled ELFX and the enhancer and rain works fine. There IS another problem though, it also blurs the hell out of underwater in an unnatural manner. Looks awful.
  5. Okay I fixed it... apparently installing enb .301 it didn't like it when I kept my old enbhost/enblocal. Replacing my old ones with the .301 one worked fine.
  6. Okay so just hours ago I was playing just fine, I had resolved another crash issue by removing a corrupted mesh. So I played fine for hours with my load order, then I exited and I was messing around with ENB's manually installing and uninstalling and what not, on the last enb I tried I installed it, went to start the game... crash on startup. Now for some inexplicable reason Skyrim only lets me play if I go in NMM and disable everything except Skyrim and Update esm. I can't even enable a single Unofficial patch or I get CTD at startup. The only thing I did prior to this was put up the regular launcher from SKSE for a reason I don't remember. I deleted my plugin txt repeatedly, uninstalled NMM and installed an older version. No matter what I do if I enable anything ANYTHING except Skyrim and Update esm it crashes at ctd. -sigh- Help me out man, I just spent days fixing my last crash issue and now it has another one (and I still have to deal with a crash upon entering Castle Volkihar if I can ever fix this crap) From what I can tell it can't possibly be a problem with my load order or my PC. I can play with all those mods 4k textures and ENB at 30-40 fps outdoors and 60 fps indoors. It seems like it's some screw up between the standard steam launcher and NMM or something... I'm so tired I just wanna frikkin' play but the game keeps giving me an issue every time I spend days resolving another. Oh yeah I also tried deleting my DLC dawnguard and dragonborn and even Skyrim and Update esm and getting fresh ones from steam... No dice.
  7. I'm not gonna lie, I've never bothered to try realistic rag dolls and dual sheath with DM. It seems like a hassle to get them working because it's obvious that they're going to conflict. Quite frankly I'm not sure if it's compatible even, that's not a certainty though it may be compatible but with work. " I used DM for whole my second run in Skyrim, from level 1 to 31 and haven't seen more than couple of severed arms after tons of fights. Yes, I read about DM working only on vanilla armors, but I use only Immersive armors and do not meet NPC wearing them all too often and many of bandits were wearing vanilla stuff. Forgot to add - DM settings in MCM set to 50% mutilation chance and I did reset it three or four times." Secondly if you're using a game pad you won't get mutilations. Download the game pad script fix in the forums section in the thread "tips for making deadly mutilation work" On top of that DM only works with a specific set of armors and no others those armors are vanilla meshes for "Fur, Elven, Forsworn, Hide, Studded, Imperial, Iron, Stormcloaks and guards armors, Necromancer and Warlock robes." They can be retextured but can't have their meshes changed. Secondly with the original version of the mod mutilation occurs ONLY with power attacks. It also doesn't work on children, old people, essential, or protected npcs. Enchanted weapons can also be a bit iffy with the regular version and have a lower chance to cause mutilation.
  8. I have a fix guys. Install this mod. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/2907/? Load it after Moonlight Tales. When you load your save game wait 24 hours, your beastform should be cooled down. You also now have no cooldown on beast form so that's another bonus.
  9. KAMUI, SENKETSU!
  10. I know the problem AND the reasoning behind it. Remove fExtraTaskletBudgetMS=xxx from your Skyrim.ini OR reset it to default which is 1.2 The intention of people increasing it is to get better performance when tons of script are calling functions AT THE COST of reduced framerate. I saw a site that recommended setting it to 800 which is obviously way too much when running tons of mods and definitely way too much when running vanilla.
