  1. I think the problem is that you're not considering the actual implementation. For example, let's say you want to make a house. You need to place down 4 floor props, 8 wall props, and 4 ceiling props. You need some kind of "ghost" to work with while building in the building mode, otherwise it'd be impossible to do it properly -- you wouldn't have snapping and wouldn't be able to see what you were building around if parts immediately disappeared after placing them. Or is the idea you had completely different? Is it that you request your settlement builds a concrete wall and then, after a delay of x hours, it's available in the build menu to be placed freely? That was the other guy's idea, not mine. My main thing is I want the construction of a windmill for example to take say... 12 hours (not final value) i.e... I build a windmill then 12 hours of in-game time pass. Just something as simple (is it?) as that would do it for me for the foundation of a mod like this.
  2. Oh? It can't just be something like wait 3hr after making a concrete wall? ;x Thank you for the info
  3. It's more the passage of time that interests me rather than materials. A bigger bug bear for me is being able to single-handedly build an entire house in seconds rather than having the process less streamlined material-wise. Some points to expand on the idea... Settlement objects take time based on what they are. For example a concrete wall takes longer than a hanging a lightbulb.Settlers reduce the build time for items. Perhaps only objects that have no perk requirements can have their construction time reduced in this way, or maybe there could be a way to assign settlers to the role (in the same way you'd assign them to scavenging for example in vanilla).Hunger/thirst/fatigue would be resolved in the same way as normal(e.g., using wait) for survival mode.
  4. I was wondering how feasible it would be to create a mod that added a realistic amount of time to the modding of arms, armour and the construction of settlement items? There's a similar mod that does this in Skyrim (for crafting and everything else) which is fairly celebrated. Any information would be appreciated, thanks :)
  5. That's a pity. Thanks for the information. :)
  6. I was wondering if it is possible to alter lockpicking, hacking, container use and the use of the pipboy so that the game does not pause. A simple (though I don't know how easy) change like this would go a long way towards increasing the realism and tension of the game. This mod would mostly be tailored towards those who fancy immersion and challenge, the sort of people playing on survival difficulty. A response from anyone in the know or any information at all would be much appreciated, thank you.
  7. Specs... i7 3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.4GHz 10 gigs ram Windows 8 Nvidia Geforce GT 630 w/ 4gig vram Been getting only ~17 fps in skyrim, which is atrocious given the fact that my old computer got twice that much with nowhere near the specs my new computer has. Please help :(
