Yeah, those LOD settings in the ini haven't done anything since Fallout 3. Skyrim introduced a more dynamic system that can be created and or altered at runtime so those ini settings are overridden or ignored now. This may be something that has been addressed by the unofficial patch a long time ago and those of us that have always used it in our base install never see this vanilla behavior.

I am trying to get any mod or collection i download to work in bg3. It says it installed it, but when i play the game nothing is there. i have tried to reinstall the game, re-install Vortex to no affect. Pretty much has ruined 40+ hours and a save file

Could someone please make a mod where it will play the grav drive animation or any animation for that matter that maybe can be toggled while you are in cockpit? Or it happens automatically like before landing, switching the power around, just anywhere and everywhere it fits It would really help with the flying immersion

I can't read the mod list, but did you install a nude body such as CBBE and fail to install outfits and build them in BodySlide? If you have a nude body which uses BodySlide, don't forget you need to build at least once both the body and all outfits.

Hello, I've been trying to install mods for Fallout 3 using Vortex but keep getting this error (see attached). Any help would be greatly appreciated! That appears to be the cause of the problem. You're trying to create a string with a string ID that already exists in the DB. Usually, when we add lines of dialogue through the conversation tool in the toolset, it automatically assigns a string id behind the scenes. But then when you try to save it, the string ID it automatically assigned already exists in the DB so the save fails. As for a solution - I'm not sure what to tell you as it isn't something I've ever done, but there are some things you could try. You could try creating a duplicate of the conversation you want to modify and edit it to see if you can get that to work and save your changes. Here's a quick description of a series of steps... Create a duplicate with a slightly different name, like prepend "new" to the filename. Make the desired edits and save them. If that works, continue with the next step. Rename the vanilla file by prepending "old" to the filename. Now rename the new file you just edited by removing the "new" you had prepended. So now the file you've edited has the vanilla filename and the vanilla file has "old" prepended to it. Export/distribute the files so you can test them and test. I have no idea whether that will get you where you want to go, but it may be worth a try. Good luck.

Trivial scripts using vanilla functions only: Very low probability of being affected, except for maybe Beth introducing new bugs (which is a possibility that probably cannot be discounted entirely). Complex scripts using vanilla functions only: Low probability of being affected. Potential problems could be 1) subtle and undocumented changes in behavior of certain aspects of the engine, 2) unintended side effects of fixes and changes made or 3 ) newly introduced bugs. Scripts using F4SE provided functions: Guaranteed to be affected by the immediate unavailability of a F4SE update. Will probably work fine after (possibly multiple) F4SE updates, Caveats above do apply. Scripts using F4SE Plugin provided functions: Guaranteed to be affected by the immediate unavailability of a F4SE update AND of a F4SE Plugin update. May possibly continue to work fine after both F4SE and all F4SE Plugins used have received sufficient updates. Caveats still apply. If a script uses many functions from a Script Extender Plugin (SUP F4SE, Lighthouse, Garden of Eden and others) , and if the Plugin in question provides 200, 300 or more functions to Papyrus (some do), it might take a bit of a while before everything works as it did pre update. The new EXE will have to be reverse engineered, before Plugin authors can update offsets and possibly refactor or rewrite some code, before mod authors can have working stuff again and update their scripts where it may be required. I can assure you that most of my mods will break hard, because my scripts make really extensive use of some Script Extender Plugins and there is not even a remote grasp of hope of getting those scripts to work without all the Script Extender and Plugin magic being perfectly in place. The RE folks really are the unsung heroes in all this madness. None of this Script Extender business would be possible without them good folks. Don't forget to say thanks should you ever meet one of 'em, some day. -
I've split your post into its own topic. Please don't bump posts that are several months old. You've probably disabled the extension for collections by mistake. Check the extensions section and pick show bundled.

No, it's only mods that use scripts that rely on F4SE functions that will break and they won't need to be adjusted, they'll just need a new version of F4SE to be released and then they'll be fine. Any mod that has scripts that only use vanilla functions won't be affected. -
