BOOK OF SILENCE - CONTENT ADD-ON by the AMB Team

RETURN TO MOD PAGE

FEATURES
This file
combines aMidianborn Skyforge Weapons, Differently Ebony, Glass Variants, as well as adding support for most of CaBaL120's other texture variations. It is not necessary to use this file if you only wish to use Book of Silence as a direct texture replacement. However, this file allows multiple texture variations of the same armor types to appear simultaneously in the game, allowing greater diversity in the items you'll find. This plugin features:
  • Skyforge weapons now have a unique appearance that sets them apart from regular steel weapons
  • Adds the missing Skyforge weapons (mace, warhammer, bow, arrows)
  • Three types of Ebony armor: standard, silver, and gold
  • Two types of Elven armor: standard, and Thalmor (black)
  • Three types of Glass armor: standard, Thalmor, and Steel (Morrowind style)
  • Two types of Wolf armor: brown and grey fur
  • Three types of Nordic armor: with black fur, brown fur, and white fur
  • Three types of Iron armor: standard, fine, and engraved
  • Two types of Steel armor: standard and white fur
  • Items have been added as both craftable variations and distributed throughout the world
  • Ability to convert the Savior's Hide into alternate variations with black or white fur
  • Fully compatible with Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade, includes breakdown recipes, and will respond to all crafting options and menu toggles available through CCO.
REQUIREMENTSINSTALLATION
Download and install:

1) Book of Silence Armors
2) Book of Silence Dragonborn DLC
3) Book of Silence Weapons
4) Book of Silence Unique Items

Install any or all of the files above as you choose. It's not necessary to install all of these files; just make sure that the ones you DO want to install are installed prior to installing Book of Silence Content Addon. During installation, you can choose any of the texture options you want. When you install the aMidianBorn Content Addon, it will overwrite some of your choices in order to ensure that the textures it needs are in the correct folders.

After you have made your selections and have installed the other Book of Silence files, install the Book of Silence Content Addon.

If you are using Improved Closefaced Helmets, then replace the aMidianborn_ContentAddon.esp file from the main folder with the one found in the "Improved Closefaced Helmets version" folder.

Activate aMidianBorn_ContentAddon.esp

Make sure that the following plugin files are NOT active:

- Glass Variants.esp or AMB Glass Variants Lore.esp
- Differently Ebony.esp
- aMidianborn_Skyforge_Weapons.esp

COMPATIBILITY
Fully compatible with:

- Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade - additional features are available through CCO's configuration menu

- Guard Dialogue Overhaul & SPIKE-VE

- Even Better Quest Objectives - a separate patch for this mod is not needed, but you must load the Content Addon file AFTER Better Quest Objectives.

- Improved Closefaced Helmets - an optional file for use with ICH is found in download directory. Please see installation instructions to properly install this option.

This mod mostly adds new records and shouldn't conflict with many other mods. However, it does make changes to the Companion's quest "Take Up Arms" and may conflict with other mods that change this quest (USKP changes to this quest have been included). It also edits a number of Leveled Lists, so if you are using other mods that edit leveled lists, then it is recommended that you create a bashed patch to merge changes to the leveled lists.

This mod should work fine with any mods that change the armor meshes, as long as the altered meshes are designed to work with the vanilla textures.

CREDITS
kryptopyr, Modd3r, EmeraldReign, Eckss & Cabal120
USKP team for changes to the C00 quest and the edited quest scripts contained in this download

CHANGE LOG
Version 1.9:
  • Updated with most recent changes from Unofficial Patches, Weapons & Armor Fixes, and Complete Crafting Overhaul
  • Added proper Bash tags (Delev, Relev) to file
  • Added the Bonemold Hotfix
  • Included conflicting changes from BetterQuestObjectives, so a separate patch for this mod is no longer needed.
  • Added the ability to craft alternate unenchanted versions of Ebony Mail
  • Added PRUFEI conditions to breakdown recipes
  • Corrected typo in the name of three EnchGlassCuirassDestruction04 variants
  • Corrected footstep sound for Ebony Gold & Ebony Silver boots (was light)
  • Corrected 1st person female ebony cuirass & gauntlets
  • Changed Steel Glass armor so that it weighs a bit more than regular glass armor, but has the same armor rating.
  • Changed stats of Elven & Glass variants to correspond to changes made in WAF Version 5.1.
  • Corrected Impact data and Block material for Glass variant shields (was Heavy, should be Light).
  • Thalmor gauntlets will now use the correct black variant texture for female first person view.
  • The Steel white fur variant should now appear properly for female characters when in first person view.
  • Renamed "Iron-Brown Fur" to "Iron-Fine" (gave them slightly higher stats)
  • Added Corundum to "Iron-Fine" recipes
  • Removed generic enchanted Iron-Fine armors from 01 and 02 sublists, so the Iron-Fine will spawn 1/3 as often and will only appear with the better (rank 03) enchantments.
  • Crafting, tempering, and breakdown recipes added for new Iron-Engraved variant.
  • Engraved Iron and Fine Iron now use male helmet mesh for both males and females. Alternative Engraved & Fine Iron helmets are available using the female helmet mesh and can also now be worn by both males and females.
  • Added the original DLC2ArmorNordicShield "Nordic Shield" variant to the DLC2SublistArmorNordicShield_AMB sublist so that all three variants have an equal chance to spawn. Also carried over WAF corrections to the DLC2LItemArmorShieldHeavy list.
  • Corrected missing Nordic "black" variants in the DLC2SublistArmorNordicSetBlack_AMB and added helmets to all three DLC2SublistArmorNordicSet*_AMB lists.
  • Fixed the recipe for the Iron Gauntlets (brown fur variant) so it now works correctly for the different CCO options.
  • Fixed the recipe for Savior's Hide replica (white fur variant) so it will create the correct color variant.
  • Added WAF_VisuallyDarkArmor keyword to Thalmor (elven dark) armor.

just a heads up - I'm not seeing the staff of magnus hotfix. (I've also posted about this on Neo's guide, which I know you at least occasionally check, but thought I'd post here too in case you miss it on Neo's guide)

thanx!

edit: just to be more clear - I downloaded the addon file and I don't see the hotfix in there.

Activate aMidianBorn_ContentAddon.esp

can u tell me where in the "Improved closefaced helmets" folder the new "aMidianBorn_ContentAddon.esp" is found.

Or do i have to rename the "imp_helm_legend.esp" in "aMidianBorn_ContentAddon.esp" and replace the original with that?

when you download the optional file (named aMidianBorn - Content Addon), it should contain a folder named Improved Closefaced Helmets version. the only thing in that folder is called aMidianBorn_ContentAddon.esp

you are supposed to take that esp and place it in the mod's main folder (replacing the original aMidianBorn_ContentAddon.esp)... but only if you use the mod Improved Closefaced Helmets.

Ok now i am a bit confused. I am using aMidianBorn ARMORS,WEAPONS and pretty much all aMidianBorn stuff. But during installation of aMidianBorn ARMORS i chose Golden Ebony armor and steel silver glass armor but it didn't create any file named Glass Variants.esp or AMB Glass Variants Lore.esp or
 Differently Ebony.esp
in my Data folder. I do have aMidianborn_Skyforge_Weapons.esp but when i disable (or uninstall) and then i install Content Addon my game CTD when loading.  Any idea where i did mistake ?

other mods can also add those files, if I'm not mistaken. try checking all of your esp's to make sure that those aren't being added by some other mod.

Nah solved :) It was crashing because i had Aela The Huntress from Companions in front of me killing giant when i saved my game. And then i removed aMidianborn_Skyforge_Weapons and when i tried to load my game i got CTD so basically it was my wrong (bad timed) save :) Still it is a bit confusing if you want to install also Improved Closefaced Helmets. Because there is patch for Book of Silence Armors but it comes together with Differently Ebony.esp but here in instructions is written that Differently Ebony should be disabled. So you need only copy those meshes from patch and aMidianBorn_ContentAddon  from Improved Closefaced Helmets version folder from Content Addon.

Hi, first  of all allow me to thank you for your work, which is amazing, second Im a noob i just got skyrim and my knowledge regarding installing mods is limited, I´m trying to install the "book of silence pack" without succes I read in several threads the one must copy the contents of a mod to the "Data" folder but im doing this and Its not working, tried to activate the mod via the "Data" panel in the launcher but it does not appear, I would appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction.

Thank you for your time
