great job tidus560. lovealice's previous mod is one of my fav DAI mod. but i think there is a downside of this kind of mod.
for example a warrior specialized in two handed weapon that is using dual dagger will lose access to the two handed ability.
hence the warrior itself dont have access to the dual dagger ability. therefor the character will be stuck using only normal attacks. i heard that this is because of the animation related to the ability/skills.
but as far as i remember, lovealice's mod dont have problems when we are playing a mage wielding dual weapons or two handed weapons.
i've found mods for DA:Origins dan DA II that enable characters using any kind of weapon combined with any kind of skills/ability with the right animation..
i really hope that your mod will progress to that kind of stuff :D

Spoiler

Yeah mage characters can use whatever weapons they want and can still cast spells which is awesome because my knight enchanter elf is now brandishing a greatsword. This pleases me.

Spoiler

That's a very good point! This is definitely a mod that works better for Mages until we figure this problem out. In theory it might be possible to remove weapon requirements from abilities, but I don't know how the game engine will react. From my experiments with dual wielding I'm not too optimistic sadly. If you equip a non-dagger in your main-hand (like a sword), then a dagger in your off-hand, the dagger will bug out and float in the air. The animations won't work properly. I assume something similar would happen if a staff tried to do a Two Handed animation.

I will look into it.

Happy to help! Sorry it took so long to get this out.

Hopefully this mod will gather support and exposure so that everyone can enjoy smacking enemies with a greatsword as a Mage. :)
