High Quality LODs

This is a replacer for all of the the LOD files (incl. the 3D-Map).
Texture resolution has been doubled and mesh resolution increased 2-20 fold,
this depends on the surface curvature.

I wonder if this will solve my mountain snow LOD flicker problem. I HAAAAAATE that problem. HATE HATE HATE.

Sorry for the rant... :P

This mod sounds good, will try it out ^^

I'm worried it might cripple my performance, but I'm certainly interested in improving the graphics. Do you have information regarding it?

Would someone upload some screenshots if you have the time?

@ hlvrn, I fixed that with the nvidia update. It was seizure inducing, too severe to even play, don't know how you can.

I have to be honest Ethatron, but I can't see any noticeable difference with these files (possibly because I have uGridstoLoad set at 7). If, as others have suggested, you could perhaps include some screenshots of before and after, it would highlight the visible differences these files are supposed to make.

I'd also be interested in a more detailed list of changes and some screenshots. I've got plenty of texture mods running already and it would be handy to know if this complements stuff or simply overwrites it.

That said, I knew I should've waited at least half a year or so for a handful of mods to cover the entire game as opposed to running nearly 70 WIP mods which cover "just" half the game.

I uploaded 12 comparison screenshots (took me 30minutes!) but have to wait for Ethatron to accept them. I think Ethatron has gone to sleep so I think we have to wait for a while...
What I saw from the comparisons was that this mod makes the LOD brighter on certain spots, and it has some problem with water LOD near Riften. It also shows some sort of LOD tiling now.

Which driver update are you refering to? The latest Beta one with +25 % performance?
I HATE this problem and really wanna get it solved. I haven't played really... I have actually just been modding, so I've kind of ignored it :P

ok sry for this post but maybe i can help with flickering shadows! i have perfekt shadows at 2048(no bugs!!)
i post my SkyrimPrefs.ini settings and hope it will help you..AA off and AF4 for max performance( u can chance it if you want "more" or "less")

This is great, the change is really noticeable when looking at rivers and places like the the ice-fields and marsh, where before the land was all just weird squares and poor meshes, it looks great from a distance now. I didn't even see a noticeable performance drop either, fantastic stuff!

I've made two screenshots that i'll put here

i can see an improvement but with this mod my water lod flickers (i have the mountain flicker too but only on really far mountains like the mountains of makarth but seen from whiterun)
