This set of tweaks makes your Skyrim Ultra shadows look more detailed and less blocky.

I love the settings for the medium pc one (even though I have a beast with 2X gtx 580 3gig and an overclocked cpu @ 4.6 ghz), 16 gig ram and raid 0 ssd's.

However these settings with texture mods (skyrim hd) + (minus the eyecandy ones) kill my performance.

I always get 60fps but as soon as my shadows are 4096X4096 I lost 20fps.

If I put these all to 2048 everything runs fine @ 60fps and things look nice but with slightly blocky shadows.

I think Bethesda needs to fix these issues.

Good work though, 10/10!

@spawngregory Thanks! @sydney666 Well, those tweaks where made to slightly optimize Ultra shadows and make them look better. For me, changing form High to Ultra didn't give as much lag, though only after instaling newest Nvidia beta drivers. Ultra shadows seem to work fine now, at least for my GTX460SE (with 2500k and 4GB RAM), improving my Ultra shadows performance greatly. Though, I'm not using any texture mods or any other visual mods, only my shadow tweak with uGridsToLoad set to 9. Hopefully, Bethesda will improve Skyrim performance when running on Ultra settings with newest patch. Looking at you PC specs, this game isn't using even 50% of your onboard power :D, and that, in my opinion, should be fixed. @stjepanzero Hehehh, this tweaks are for improving looks of default Ultra shadows, and are made for PC's that can run Ultra shadows before applying this tweak :P. You can always check my previous tweak for High shadows, link is in the description :P. EDIT: @sydney666 I forgot that, in addition to shadow tweaks and uGridsToLoad set at 9, I am actually using two visual mods called RWT and Skyrim Sunglare. Also, I can't believe that such a great mod creator is actually using my tweaks ;P

@sydney666: The performance loss is probably from something else. Because shadowmap resolution of 4096 is standard setting for Skyrim when you use Ultra in launcher, and should not be a problem for a highend PC.

Edit: I forgot the others values. Standard for Ultra settings are;
iShadowMapResolutionSecondary=1024
iShadowMapResolutionPrimary=2048
iShadowMapResolution=4096

@IVIason: Haha :) Maybe your Ebony Helmet is a vampire in disguise. Don't know what could cause it. You don't have any mods that change Ebony Armor?

Just a retexture mod. Im clueless what could cause this, its so weird lol. Also, only males shadows are headless. If Lydia wears a Ebony Helmet its fine.

@IVIason This is definitely something new to me, I did know that some armor pieces can be bugged (I heard of some bug that can make your head dissapear when wearing sort of a mask, it wask called dragon priest mask or something?). Sadly, I've never encountered such a problem when wearing helmets as a male character, and I don't have an ebony armor to test this. And yes, texture mods can cause this issue.
