Less Flickery City of New Vegas

If you play NV at high settings, you'll notice intense flickering in the city of New Vegas (e.g. from Goodsprings cemetery) due to extra white proxy meshes clipping into the object LOD meshes. This simple mod fixes that (Does not fix the engine Z-fighting) by removing the offending white imposter meshes.

Using NMCs_Texture_Pack_For_New_Vegas (and that is about it for non-weapon/armor mesh replacers) I get pretty much the same thing you show in the "images" tab.  I don't modify the LOD in any way (I think - unless NMC does it by itself).  Will this 'fix' that issue?  And, is this solely a fix for those areas/things specifically spelled out in the description and images, or does it also fix other places/things that appear "blocky" or "blotchy" (the best way I can describe it at the moment) at  distance, but 'fixes' itself as you get closer? (thinking of mountains and cliffs as the main culprit in my case)
Either way, this is a long-awaited and much needed fix.  If it is "only" the fixes shown, it is BIG for cleaning up the jewel of the game (as you so appropriately described it), and absolutely HUGE if it does it for other assets in game.

Great job!   KUDOS

Spoiler

there are plenty of LOD mods that improve other items. I think this is a specific fix.

This^

That would need an entire proxy mesh rework. It might be doable but would be a huge undertaking.

This only fixes a small issue in the city of Vegas itself.

I'll update you if there is an actual reason why those objects exist in the base game (i.e. if other unrelated s*** breaks) but from my limited testing I think they really were unneeded in vanilla. (if this comment isn't updated nothing broke)

Spoiler

I've answered this in the mod description. Was probably done for consoles and performance.
