  1. hello i made my own summon in the creation kit and i'd like it to automatically teleport to the player, when it lags behind is it even possible? i googled and couldn't find anything helpful i know it is possible with NPC followers, some mods already do that, one thing i found was to "attach a script to the follower ref" but a summon doesn't really have a ref id edit: maybe there is a way to make a passive ability that triggers on distance to player and then just executes a "moveto" script? edit2: ok, i think i found the basics of what i have to do, AI package! it has conditions, start and end triggers (i think) and it can have a script attached, now if someone could help me to set it up correctly that'd be great :smile: for now i have made a simple "follow package" with conditions: "target:subject, GetDistance PlayerRef >5000" AND "target:player, HasMagicEffect [summon effect] == 1" (i would also like it to sneak, when the player does) greetings kaetzer
  2. damn, i didn't check that, i did unpack all the scripts for something else though, but haven't checked the conditions thing i just checked, no more error message, thanks and sorry so for everyone else running into the same problem who found this: extracting the scripts seems to have solved it for me, just extract the "Scripts.zip" in "Skyrim Special Edition\Data" into the Data folder
  3. hello hello I'm having a little trouble with the creation kit it seems I want to set up a specific condition for a spell effect, so: right click -> new and an error message immediately pops up "QUEST: Failed to get owner quest for unowned condition." i click "yes" and can put everything in, then i hit "OK" and the "Warnings" window pops up, telling me the same thing the error also occurs when I want to edit an existing spell effects condition can i ignore this? or will it actually not work in the game? if so, how can i fix it? more info: AbResistFire, Mag 50 Condition Items: GetLevel < 20 Run on Player want to make a creature that gets progressively stronger with the player, so 50% fire resistance from 1-19, 70% from 20-50 or something like that greetings kaetzer
  4. hello everyone i just had this thought and am quite curious i've been using wrye bash a lot in the last 2 days to mod and adjust skyrim to my personal preferences so, every time i want to open a plugin in the CK that has .esp masters, i have to ESMify them or else when i save the plugin the .esp masters are gone and it messes up the whole thing, right? what would happen if I just ESMified ALL the plugins? (i'm just asking out of curiosity :laugh: ) greetings kaetzer
  5. yea, seems that way... well, there isn't any real mod support for this game anyway, the community seems to have jury rigged something^^ quite impressive but unfortunately difficult to use :/
  6. so i have unity open now, i see the lions textures, now how do i edit them?
  7. greetings i would very much like to do a little retexturing, to be precise: black lion for the ranger! how can i make this happen? where can i find the textures and how can i access them? i suspect them to be in "cre_ranger_lion.unity3d" or so, but how do i get them, put them in GIMP, darken and then save them? i'm already downloading Unity3D and will take a look at it later, but other than that i'm pretty clueless :/
  8. Hello everyone Since my knowledge of the creation kit is basic at most and i know almost nothing about scripting, i was hoping someone could help with a small issue. My problem is this: When you give an NPC heavy armor, he equips it, even if he's skilled in light armor and just shouldnt equip the heavy stuff... a rogue or healer companion clad in iron or ebony? no, i dont want that <.< so is there a way to get an NPC to NEVER EVER equip heavy armor? so he'd rather run around naked than equipping the full orcish set in his inventory? maybe a script or something? as i said, i don't know squat about scripting, but i can imagine that there is a way, and i would really appreciate it if one of you could help me to whip something up ;) Greetings kaetzer
  9. i dont know much about skyrim modding or the mechanics, but it sounds to me like you are somehow in the vampire's faction try console commands, i just found this: "addfac <faction ID> -1", this will remove the targeted actor from the faction whose id you put at <faction ID>, i'm pretty sure it should work on the player as well, just click on your character when the console is open now you just have to find out the faction id of the vampires i guess... cant help you more at the moment, sorry, it's 3am here and im tired and drunk :confused:
  10. ok, so i didnt read EVERY post here, but i have a similar problem, i just cant absorb the souls of SOME dragons (using deadly dragons), here is a mod that helped me: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/31909/?tab=2&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D31909&pUp=1 it just adds a spell under the "power" category that enables you to absorb dragon souls manually, worked for me so check it out and i think it's kinda cool absorbing dragon souls manually^^ oh yea, with this ability you have to stand very close to the dragon, like "activating range" close
  11. have you already tried starting a new game? and have you made backups of the cleaned mods? normally TES5EDIT does it automatically just try starting a new game or reinstalling the mods EDIT: did BOSS tell you to clean? you probably shouldnt do everything BOSS tells you, i had some running order issues because of it, BOSS is really great and all, but i still had to sort some mods manually^^
  12. good mornin i'm having a little problem with skyrim, it's not that bad but still kinda annoying in the skills menu some of the perk descriptions are cut off at the edges of the screen... but only in screen ratio 4:3 and 5:4, since i don't have a widescreen i can't play in 16:something (well, i CAN but it looks pretty crappy) is ther a way to fix this? or do i have to get used to "guessing" the cut off part?   13. i got it fixed, i dont really know how though :confused: i think it was because of race menu (you know, the mod) which i deactivated after i was done with it, now i just tried to create a new char and he had teeth! then i changed the race of mr. no-teeth here, changed it back and voila: teeth :biggrin:
