  1. Got the same problem, after the last update the game silently crashes when loading a savegame. Try validating the Fallout folder - Steam told me there was one file missing and its now downloading a 1.4 GB download. No idea if it will fix it, but I guess something huge got deleted during the update and is causing the crashs.
  2. From my experience, you can activate one of the grey vault tec boxes near the vault door and it should add one Pipboy to your MISC section. If you give that to a settler, it will equip it instantly. Just dont try to carry more than one of them around or it may bug out.
  3. I added a new voice for the custom robots - works basicly fine, but they are unable to unlock a terminal or a container. I created the CommandTarget & Actor quest aliases, the quest states, made an edited version of the unlock szene and and a refuse overwrite for the commands, but it doesnt seem to work. When giving a command to unlock anything I get is a confimation response from the robot, but it never moves to the target - it just says "all right" and then proceeds to do absolutly nothing. Any idea what I am missing?
  4. In case you havent noticed: AlarictheVisgoth picture is a Oblivion screenshot, not a screencap from the trailer. So yeah, both pictures look alike because both are Daedroth. The Crocodileclaw (or whatever it is called) looks a bit different in the trailer.
  5. I think he is talking about Sarah Lyons Death, not Elder Lyon. Considering all the things Sarah survived and that Elders normaly dont fight in the field (and always would have guards with them), a death by supermutants seems rather unusual and lame. But since the game never follows up on this topic in any way, its kinda moot to discuss.
  6. Try this (took me ages to find the problem in my follower mod) In your NPC greeting is a setting to choose the szene to trigger. Below that is also a option to set the Alias that the NPC should use - I think if you set your Quest Alias as optional, you need to select it here to make sure the NPC knows which alias to use.
  7. Sounds like every NPC is trying to use your new dialouge but cant for whatever reason. Make sure your new Quest has the right conditions so it doenst apply to other NPCs (aside rom your follower) and see if that helps.
  8. I agree that her offscreen death after Broken Steel is lame and I would have loved to see more F3 characters return, but I dont think that she was that great of a character to have her play a major role in a DLC. And having Veronica appear would be incredible lame :/
  9. As far as I can tell, its a bug in the game engine. (had a bit of experience with that in my Jezebel Comp mod) New build robots will allways be mortal, no matter what actor you edit. However, if you send them on a supply line or use them as a follower at least once, the normal settings kick in and they will be protected.

While the quest was cut, there are some things that Bethesda forgot to delete: The scripts and fragments are still there and can give some hints what this (and other cut quests) quest were about: For example, searching the files for 'MS03' results in finding 'TERM_DN144_BridgeControl_01092F42', a script that refers to a 'Vault120_BridgeAirlockA'. So I guess DN144 would be a the internal quest name and Vault 120 would be Rapture the infamous underwater vault. However, looking for DN144 in the CK mentions a deathclaw and salem, so I guess its just a generic script holder quest or the ID was repurposed. But there is more: after searching for 'vault120' in the files, I found this comment ';False Failure sequence for when the sub crashes into Vault120' in a scripped called DN158QuestScript. The weird part is that this whole script mentions things like a sub being attacking by 'UUV' (Unmaned Underwater Vehicle?) and the player firing torpedos. From what I can tell, the player was in a sub (most likely the Yangtze) and had to defend it from UUV by firing torpedos at them while moving around (there are also mentions of using a radar to detect things). No idea how or why the player would do that, but it sounds kinda awesome :/ Anymore cool leftovers or cut quests that you know about?
  11. I tried to make the unbuildable robot decals (USA army, Gunners) avaible on a robot workbench, but so far without much success. The object mods allready exists in the vanilla game and I created a recipe for them, but they never show up as avaible. Since the attachpoint (ap_Bot_AssaultronFrontDecalSlot) is not used for any player made mods, I am kinda wondering if I need to edit it to make it visible in the workbench. Any ideas?
  12. Yes, and they all have an biped slots. Anything without a biped slot gets invisible because the game doenst know where to attach the model.
  13. If you open EncAssaultron01Gunner and click on "Traits", there is a "Object Template" button at the buttom. Thats basicly defines what mods (and decals and some other settings) the unit has by default.
  14. I think the store designs refer to the buildable stores in workshop mode. They now have an alternate model that looks like a counter. Kinda supprised they made if free and didnt include it in the DLCs.
  15. I dont think F4 is that bad of a game - but from all the Bethesda/Fallout games I have played (starting with Oblivion), its the game I enjoyed the least. No idea if its because F4 tried a couple new things that I didnt like or if I am just getting fed up with that style of sandbox game in general, but it never feeled as cool and fun much as the previous games. But as usual, mods with probably fix most of the problems sooner or later.
