  1. I followed your instructions and now Vortex recognizes both download and mod staging folders. Thanks for reply. I was not able to take copy form appdata folder (windows was so messed up) this might explain the profiles etc missing and I have to re-install my mods. Have to remember to take copy from appdata bit more often...
  2. I recently had to re-Install Windows 10. My games drive stayed intact, including Vortex download and mods folder. But not I’m totally screwed with this software! Mods cannot be deployed error message, when I selects the existing downloads and mods folders, Vortex tells me that those folders need to be empty? How can I use/apply my old profiles, mods etc now? Why this software cannot use those exiting folders and recognize downloads and installed mods? I could use some help please.
  3. Thanks for replies, I try those few mods you suggested. I’m also done with the Legendary difficulty, bullet sponges, and other crap, doesn't equal better game for me. I was dummy for hitting my head in the wall with it :o
  4. I defines the difficulty level of enemies in this game? I decided to post this because I have really hard time of finding any logic or sense what comes to enemy difficulty/scaling in this game. I’m playing with mods like: Ordinator, Deadly Combat, Wildcat, Genesis, Imperious, Mortal enemies, which make the combat and the game more challenging and way better than the idiocy that is vanilla Skyrim (lets face it, the game is stupid). My difficulty is at legendary (maybe not the best choice). What bugs the piip out of me so I decided to post this in here is: I went to a dungeon full of high level draugs with ebony weapons, after dying few times I was able to complete it with quite easily. I died mostly because these bugs where enemy one-shots me when I’m at full heath and blocking… Then I go to other dungeon and I have snowballs change in hell in there. Group of bandit on-shots me with iron weapons, hunting bows with iron arrows. Their mages wearing lightning staff that does 22points of damage take 90% of my heath away, or kill me instantly, with one shot even when I have over 50% resistances??????????? ! I barely have words. What is this madness/idiocy/stupidity??? Well it’s Bethesda. I don’t think it is the mods I’m using. I remember playing vanilla Oblivion and hitting with max level character with best weapons wearing best armours some bandit with iron dagger and fur armour minutes and minutes. Skyrim was several year old game when it was released and with several mods I would rate it as high as people did when it came out. This turned out to be more of a rant than anything else :P Any mods that I maybe missed that could fix this issue?
  5. Thanks for reply. I have NMM version 0.63.9 version installed. So this is normal? When I watched Gophers Video tutorial (posted 2015) it works fine, so did mine once. I have no idea what broke my NMM profile system totally. I changed to my vanilla profile, only 3 mods installed, NMM changed it so I have now there too same amount of mods installed than others. I try to uninstall all mods, remove all profiles and start from the beginning...
  6. I had over 100 mods installed on my main character, which I haven’t been playing in months. I decided to come back to FO 4 but give a Survival a go with a new character. So I created it and started installing mods (about week ago) and after installing about 50 mods and (testing do I like those, keep those etc.) I decided to change back to my original char (which I had from game launch), and to my horror I noticed that all the mods installed on that char were gone! And what was left was those same mods (about 50) that I installed for my new character. I tried to correct the issue by starting to install those mods which I used on my first char back only to notice that NMM installed those same to my second character too! So every time I make changes to either one of my profiles – are those changes applied to other one too! They are treated as one and the same! Which has totally ruined my saves and keeps on doing that. Top of that I’ve now encountered the mystical FO4 keeps crashing on start-up even without any mods. After doing some research that issue is because there are some leftover mods still installed. No wonder, because NMM shows that some mods are activated (example many of the over 100 mods I had on my main save without showing on that or any other profile) but still aren’t. How did this happen, and the more important question, how do I fix this??? It is seriously 100% game breaking.
  7. Yep those false flags are happening constanly. I really have tell it not to touch most of my computer ;D I'm leaning towards BitDefender of Kasperky
  8. Thanks for reply. I'm getting sick of this pruduct so I keep Avira and BitDefender in mind when choosing a new security software.
  9. So my Norton Security just went super mega nuts! It decided that all info.xml files are threats and removed them – rendering all my mods defunct! Now mod manager cannot find any installed mods and I have to spend this evening repairin the havok it caused :/ I’m soo pissed right now!
  10. So the main thing that interest me how skyrim handles stuff what is in scripts and some other folder (textures which depend on esp) when esm/esp are disabled. Hoping that there isn’t some silly bug or something…
  11. Here is few I know, hopefully one is what you're looking for. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/4784/? http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/3574/? http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24600/?
  12. So I like to mod my game, who here doesn’t  , and also play alt characters and change between those depending how I feel. At best I had at least 5 different characters but updating mods to all alts became quite lot of work (this was before people understood skyrim engine well and were using 3 party software’s to make their mods, clean save “existed” etc.) and I ended up totally ruining several of my saves… I’ve been thinking what would be best way to use mods when playing alts so amount mods I use doesn’t get too high and risk of conflicts, blowing up skyrim’s medieval script engine  is lower and generally avoid any issues what might come when having many mods installed. So here's what I’m thinking of doing: There will be general mods that I use for all chars like textures, weather, armor (some), skyre etc. but also specific mods that fit that type of gameplay. Example werewolf mods for my werewolf char, vampire (and related) mods for vampire play trough etc. you got the idea. I’m not sure though what is best way of doing it? I install all mods I want to use and just disable/enable the esm/esp files depending which character I play (makes sense as general rule). I’m not sure is that the safest way doing it? Can I keep mods that contain scripts (for example) safely installed but esp/esm files disabled without those scripts (or other stuff) getting to all saves? Or is it recommended to keep some mods totally uninstalled if not used currently so there are no scripts or anything from those mods in anywhere? Is it safe to install/uninstall mods back and forth depending which char I currently play? Doesn’t this cause some mods totally reset if I do this? Hopefully I explained this well and clearly enough. Maybe I’m making this too complicated for myself, I just don’t want to ruin any more gameplays that I’ve already ruined – which is too many :wallbash:  What I hope here is those who understand skyrim engine etc. better than me would give me guidance what is the best or recommended way to do this. Thanks
  13. Same issue here but I'm not a vampire, I'm werewolf.
  14. I have exactly the same issue. I'm now stuck in same area and cannot exit without game crashing. I turned off autosaves but no effect. If any one have any more ideas what might be causing this, or other similiar problems please I could really use those. Thanks
  15. Could someone please tell me how I might try to correct these issues? I would also like to know if others have these when using any of these mods. I have all tlc packs, latest patch 1.7 and unofficial patch (latest) installed. I have these mods installed: FO3 Wanderers Edition, Weapon mod kits, Mart’s Mutant Mod (all latest versions). I’ve read the info’s/guides and load order should be ok. I started a pure new game after installing all mods. I start game by using FOSE v. v1.2beta2.7z ( that is only I can get from fose.silverlock.org/, doesn’t offer anything else to download?) So these is what happens: I get into combat and use bullet time slow down (comes with FO3 wanderers) if I die or I need to load previous save game it is all slowed down and cannot get it to normal (the pullet slow effect is not in use), or I cannot fire any guns in my possession (changing weapon etc won’t work) so it’s ruining my save games. What might be the issue and how to correct it? This whole topic can be deleted; I posted it in correct place and got answers I needed, so sorry about this. Thanks
