  1. Oh ok. I got it. I know what you're saying. I actually understand what you're saying. I think it's because he's using a dynamic microphone. So a LDC microphone like the TLM 103 which most of the original cast was using is going to sound more transparent in audio. Whereas a dynamic microphone kind of has that radio sound to it, which would be appropriate for commercial work - but just doesn't quite work in character work. So I get what you're trying to say. But I do think it's something that would be incredibly difficult to redo. It would require the voiceactor to use an LDC microphone instead. But I thank you for clarifying. I actually get what you're trying to say. This is why audio engineers have difficulty with voiceactors that use a Shure SM7B when the entire cast is using TLM 103s as an example. So I get what you're saying.
  2. Honestly I'm surprised to see Knight, Sterling and Polatli (Polatli in particular) and Jackson on here. They have very good audio. Polatli in particular I felt had spectacular audio imo along with superb acting. Could you specify what exactly was wrong with Polatli's audio? Honestly I thought he was really well done. Officer Lenk, Hermit did mention her. But there are.....conditions...which make it difficult/impossible to get a redo for the take for her.
  3. So I know how to preview the sounds in GECK but I want to see them ingame and watch them speak. I know it sounds weird lol. But I want to see if the spacing between sentences is right, etc for the character. Any way to do that?
  4. Hi! Silly question here but is there a way to enable all dialogue options for all characters. Basically I"m working on a mod where I need to check every line of dialogue for each character and would love an option where I can just click and listen one-by-one rather than having to go through quests and speech checks, ability checks, etc. Each character has literally hundreds of lines of dialogue and I'm checking for volume consistency, mic quality, acting, lip syncing and timing of pauses between each voice-acted line. Is there a console cheat or way to enable every single dialogue option for testing purposes?
  5. Thanks roy! I'll send you a message and give you more details!
  6. Hi! How do you make it so that a screen goes black and an NPC disappears. Basically I'm doing a quest and the moment character X stops talking to you, the screen goes black. Then it clears up and character X is now gone forever. How do I do this in a script?
  7. Sounds like a compilation mod. Looks like a disaster waiting to happen.
  8. Can't go wrong with this list. http://wiki.step-project.com/User:EssArrBee/FalloutNewVegas
  9. What do you use for faces? because Fallout: New Vegas looks like this unmodded: http://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/images/130/1155425-1403540056.jpg
  10. What are some named characters in Fallout: New Vegas that you felt pulled you out of the game because of their acting, their voice, etc? Someone that *really* needs to be fixed. If it was average or okay or mediocre, that's fine. But I'm looking for the really, really bad ones. Please give me "named NPCs" for now and those only in Fallout: New Vegas (without DLCs) If you feel uncomfortable posting here (because of what other people may say) (Everyone has different opinions) please send me a PM. Or you can just post here. Please give me a list. Give me ALL of the ones that you feel could use a revoice along with a brief explanation as to why. I'm trying to fix the following issues. 1. Poorly cast or jarring or clashing characters (i.e Antony of the Fort voiced by Yuri Lowenthal) (Motorrunner voiced by Jesse Burch) 2. Mismatches (ie. Ari Rubin as Dawes). 3. Sound clones (ie. Yuri Lowenthal voicing all the Legion, ie. Legion soldiers, Otho, Aurelius, Lucius,) I've posted this same question on the TTW forums, , "No Mutants allowed" and Reddit but I'd like to post it here. Here's examples of what I'm doing so far. Links below: Dawes Officer Lenk Others <----please note that a lot of the bass has been fixed since this video was posted. Oscar Velasco's audio was fixed as well.
  11. Open Broadcast Software is really good! Strongly recommend it and it's free!
  12. Looking for the following voice actors/actresses: 1. A woman who can sing the song "Why don't you do right"? (Jessica Rabbit version) 2. An Antonio Banderas impersonation or a Mexican cartel voice 3. A female prostitute 4. A serial killer akin to Hannibal Lecter (male) 5. A drug dealer/card dealer (male) 6. An arrogant knight commander 7. An Elvis impersonator Please send me a PM if you would be interested in auditioning for the role.
  13. I think it's fine as long as the meshes or textures are made by you. However, porting directly from the game is a no-no. As an example, if you made a character that looked like Tomb Raider that's fine. But if you took the direct model and meshes from the Tomb Raider game, that's not acceptable.
  14. Actually I think I figured it out. Not exactly figured it out. But here's what I did. Did some investigation. I took that Dialogue topic and removed the Conditions. Then I put those topics in some of his generic topics to see what he does. Turns out what he does is walks to the unlocked room with the dead hooker. Then he gets mad and shoots you. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_WqsiLWP_nLWmlZR0NmSFo0a0E/view?usp=sharing Not sure if this dialogue is disabled but if it is, it makes sense why the developers disabled it. It doesn't logically make sense why he'd open the door
