  1. Just wanted to let you know that I haven't forgotten this. I just forgot that I had Finals starting and am knee deep in final exams and projects. I'll get this out in this coming week once the exams are all over.
  2. Its always good to see people become regulars of the DA section. Its down right dead here sometimes and I honestly don't like the social site. I can't quite put my finger on it, but there's just something about it that puts me off.
  3. There's already a mod that changes him into a wolf: http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=734 - Dog and Mabari to Wolf models replacer I take it you're looking for something different?
  4. Am I the only one that this bothers? I guess so..hmm. You're bothered that your mod request was moved to the mod request forum?
  5. Implies the listed books are ideas for future expansions or sequels. A storyline expanding into Orlais. Suggests revisiting Connor
  6. I want to see more of the Tevinter Imperium, the Black City within the Fade, I'd like to find a cure to the taint so that I'm not driven mad and be forced into the dark roads in 20 or so years. I'd like to see the effects of what we started in DA1 by our choices, eg: Connor or a certain other child. A bit more customization on the body front, a toolset that wasn't so buggered and just a little more friendly. I do very much want to keep carrying over my character if the storyline will allow. I've been spoiled by Mass Effect in that idea. I want to find a way to revive griffins. and when I think of more I'll be back to say them.
  7. It was a mess, looking back I actually wrote my musings as I went instead of just writing the information :ninja: Consider the change in technology, the new magics discovered, and most importantly the lessons learned from the battles in the previous blights. I am sure with all this combined the blights remain manageable in the best of conditions.
  8. So.. Nobody has more than one mod that they keep the source files backed up so that they can freely work on other mods? Just release and forget?
  9. I got considerable hate mail from people who didn't believe in LBGT relationships. I believe in to each their own, and yeah... I do play a female character usually. So I didn't like the idea that I was cut off from fully experiencing the game like I was in ME2. But thankfully DA:O had a toolset to do just that, fix what I didn't like. I originally used jwvanderbeck's Free Love, but it wasn't expansive enough and I wasn't patient enough to wait for an update. So, in the end I made Equal Love and got a fair amount of hate mail both on my poor unattended blog and on the social site. Which I never could understand as I didn't really force you to have a same-sex relationship, nothing changed if you didn't want to pursue a same-sex relationship. All I had done was made it possible, I was an enabler. There's currently no "romantic" dialogue at all for Sten really so no gender checks on that sort of dialogue. If you want a decent romance then it means going through and redoing a lot of his dialogue. You have to extend his plot file so that it encompasses the full range of relationship levels like Leliana, Alistair, and etc do. Plot items already exist, I'd just piggy back on the plots so that it still feels as though your relationship is growing. Romantic cutscenes are no problem, they are a pain to make but are completely feasible. The problem is the dialogue. Sten's not exactly got a wide range of emotions in his voice overs so that helps but you have to tailor your responses so that his responses actually make sense and you're still limited to something the voice actor has already recorded. What I tend to do is splice voice overs apart removing excess on either the beginning or the end. I'm not good enough of an audio engineer to take from the middle without leaving odd transitions. And believe you me, it really hurts when the response isn't uniform. Its this part that's the largest undertaking of any character extension.
  10. The First Blight began in 800 TE, approximately 1300 years before the events of Dragon Age: Origins, and lasted nearly two centuries, the longest Blight in history. The Second Blight occurred in 1:5 Divine and lasted 90 years. The Third Blight occurred in 3:10 Towers and lasted 15 years. The Fourth Blight occurred in 5:12 Exalted and lasted 12 years. The Fifth Blight attempts to occur in 9:30 Dragon and was averted. So... We know that the first blight occurred 1300 years before the Fifth Blight and that the Fourth Blight occurred 400 years before the Fifth Blight. So the Fourth occurred 900 years after the first. And now its time to look up how long the other ages lasted. Apparently each age lasts no longer than 99 years so... the third blight began in 3:10 and ended in 3:25 and the fourth began in 5:12 and ended in 5:24 which puts it at 86 years apart. So.. it looks like the third started 200 years before the fourth. And the second started 203 years before the third. yeah that was a bit dizzying to follow so let's try to put it all back together First Blight: 1300 years before The Fifth Blight Second Blight: 803 years before The Fifth Blight Third Blight: 600 years before The Fifth Blight Fourth Blight: 400 years before The Fifth Blight Fifth Blight: Was just averted I hope that made sense.
  11. Depends on which one, but the infinite bags have been long known to be bugged. I've always wanted to use them, but it seemed as though I recall one of them being tied to the cell (area) where you used it. So you can try going back to where you put the blood dragon armor into it or you can revert to an old save file. I know its depressing, the infinite bag mods are a great idea for a packrat like me.
  12. And my current goal is to add in with NPCs everywhere that Bioware opted not to put then. Dialogue suggests it but then pulls back? NOT IN MY BOOK!! lol, you should see how I compensated for the lack of height between Miyaja and the Grey Warden in the kissing scene I did. I have Myaja standing on top of a crate to make up for the height difference, or rather to explain the lack of so that the characters can interact more normally. :whistling: I've already had my fair share of hate mail over Equal Love which I am surprised wasn't vocalized in the comments. As for the Sexualized Mabari mod, it made Dog more than anatomically correct. Now if it were to have added a visible sheathe for the dog's genitals then that'd simply be anatomically correct if you're hound is a male. But the mod did as it claimed, it made the Mabari "happy" to see everyone and everything all the time. Not that I have a problem with it mind you, just different mods for different folks. Gotta respect everyone's differences. With all that in mind, will I make a "romance" mod for Dog? Honestly it'd probably be the easiest to do, cutscenes aside. Because he's got very limited responses of a happy bark, a whine, a growl, some heavy panting, etc. Easiest character to recycle dialogue for. Its not my cup of tea, and I never promised to do it. But I've considered it and if I did it's far off from being done. I've even sidelined my Wynne romance mod until I can better plan out the dialogue so that it flows better. What's the point in just sexing a char, am I right?
  13. Feh, I think I'll go ahead and work on this mod this afternoon. I've already got the dialogue in place for the screneshots after all. I need a break from working on my other cutscenes. One of them is giving my toolset trouble and making it lock up from time to time anyways. Edit: Anyone have a savefile right before Isolde rushes into the village to retrieve Teagan and another right before we fight in the main room of the castle that I could have?
  14. Need to put one when she calls us Insolent in the village as well. Speaking of which, here's another good one for a noble. Edit: Here's one I missed earlier for the nobles. Edit 2: And finally we can achieve the most important slap scene and make it fit by slicing a piece of Isolde's voice overs to make it appear as a new line completely. And that should cover every area where she needs a good smack giving us a total of 4-6 potential slaps. Of course some are gender specific and a few are locked to nobles only. But everyone should have a chance to smack her at least once.
