  1. So I'm one of the crazies out there who still frequently use Blender 2.49b. I started using it ages ago, found scripts for most of the games I was playing at the time, and continued happily. But then, at some point years ago, Blender 2.5 was released. I downloaded it to try it out. And was completely horrified. It didn't look or feel at all like what I was using previously. And I'd imagine many others felt this way too. Adoption of it was very low. None of my commonly used scripts ever had a 2.5x version. Fast forward to 2018 (19). I'm still using 2.49b, but scripts are finally leaving older versions behind. Blender 2.7x is out. Bugfixes, new features, new game support; etc. But I still can't get over the interface, and the fact that I'm going to have to relearn 'Blender'. But I need to. So my question to the community, is there any to make 2.7 feel less alien??

Was playing looking through Morrowind.ini (/steamapps/common/Morrowind), and found Use Joystick=1 Joystick X Turns=0; X=1, Y = 2, Z = 3, XRot = 4, YRot = 5, ZRot = 6Joystick Look Up/Down=XJoystick Look Left/Right=Y So, I went to gamepad settings, checked my axis names, came back, and set them to the proper values. (X360 Controller (Nintendo Joycons Mapped to XBox Controller)) Joystick Look Up/Down=5Joystick Look Left/Right=4 Will have to dig further for keybindings, neither trigger, nor LB, or D-Pad are currently mappable in-game. Will also possibly see about redoing the dialogue interface. It can't be too hard to script an InputBox that accepts OnActivate commands. Dragon Drop seems to have the inventory down fairly well. (need to check, haven't actually loaded it yet.)
  3. Thanks for the compliment! I spent around 2 weeks getting it to look like that. Not including the monstrosity that was the UV map. I'll package it and start a page for it in the morning.
  4. I have all of the pieces done on the Black/Red, and White/Aqua. I have the main suit done on all the base colors, and some of the glowing.

While you are busy tearing down the remnants of the Wasteland, I am rebuilding it, block-by block. You seek destruction and personal gain; we here at Baryotek Engineering (My personal company) seek to reform the world, so that the atrocities that started the "Great War of 2077" can never take place again. However, our generally-shaky start, along with some public misunderstanding, has resulted in some additional measures being necessary. First and foremost, the safety of our Family (the members) (We're mildly Communistic; if it weren't for me working my tail off (it grew back), we wouldn't exist :P). Therefore, I started devising a means to protect our members against the horrors of the Wasteland. And that started with a simple question hastily scrawled down on a blank scrap of paper; "What is the most resilient creature in the wasteland?" And from that question, the answer became clear. "The Deathclaw." A common chameleon mutated to the point that it more closely resembles a Dinosaur; a creature that is completely immune to the dangers of Ionizing Radiation, and has skin strong enough to resist a direct blow from a Mininuke. And from this was born, "Project Blacklake", the most advanced genetics project ever conceived. </Role-Play></Pseudo-Lore> And, here, I present to you, Project Blacklake! PS:I think I just wrote the intro for my mod's description page! PS2: Should I go ahead and release what I've got, and roll the other colors out as updates eventually?

  7. Might I ask why I should not be using Blender V2.49b? If you are just exporting to Wavefront, does it really make a difference? And if so, what is said difference? I ask, because none of the plugins I use on a regular (almost daily for some) basis work with 2.5 forward, because of the drastic overwrite of the scripting engine in 2.5X. Also wanted to point out that older versions of Photoshop can use the Intel Photoshop Plugin (I own CS3, it IS possible that CS2 could work), and that 3DS Max 9 (not 2009) will still work with the latest .nif plugins. (Can provide screenshots, if necessary.)
  8. I have been working on a Deathclaw Suit for a couple of weeks now, and thought I would share the progress here. Honestly, it's fairly late in development; it's skinned, rigged (mostly), retextured, and added to the game with a basic .ESP. It is available in a Full Suit with at least 15 colors- Basic Skin in a RAINBOW of colors-WIP Albino Deathclaw-Complete Alpha Deathclaw with custom horn mesh-WIP Glowing- White or Black base skin with RAINBOW of glow colors- includes attached lamp for actual light emission-Complete Matriarch with custom Mesh- will made to mold to Female body more closely-Heavy WIP Savage with custom mesh-Almost Complete (still need to do mesh) (For Men primarily, but it also works for Women!) Also available in pieces: All are in working order Head, compatible with all Vanilla Helmets, Eyeglasses, and Hats (Uses Slot 32-Facegen_Head) Hands, not compatible with gloved outfits (Uses Slot 34&35, L_Hand and R_Hand) Feet Talons in three sizes, pick a size that covers your current outfit's boots- Smallest is based around BaseMaleBody.NIF's Feet (Uses slot 55) Upper Body, for use with pants-only outfits Tail, for use with anything (uses Slot 56) Will attach pictures as soon as I figure out how to...
