  1. Hi all! I'm my wit's end with the most infuriating bug and I cannot figure out what is causing it. The Showracemenu command does not trigger any response at all when I press enter. At the start of the game, when the Character Creation Menu should trigger for the first time, when Hadvar asks "Who are you?" which should typically open up the Character Creation menu, the Character Creation menu skips completely and goes right to Hadvar saying "You've picked a bad time to come home to Skyrim, kinsman." I continue the game as a generic blonde male nord but with a big nose and no eyebrows. I uninstalled all recent mods that I installed after the last time my game was functioning normally, the issue still persists. I've also verified my game files via Steam, but the issue persists. Has anyone ever encountered an issue like this before? Mod List: https://pastebin.com/embed_js/77rLJt32
  2. Thank you so much for your feedback, I appreciate you taking the time! I will test out this set up and see if it brings me more stability. Quick question, by "Outdated use amidianborn content addon instead" do you mean I should install a mod that is called amidianborn content addon"?
  3. Hey guys! I've decided to pick up Skyrim again, after multiple attempts at setting up a modded playthrough; I don't think I have an obscene number of mods (205 active mods, 145 plugins), but for years I have been unable to maintain a stable modded Skyrim game. I'm hoping that this time I'm on the right track, although I would definitely appreciate some feedback on my current load order for my plugins. I used LOOT as a foundation then started to move some up and down the list according to what I thought made the most sense, but I'm certainly no expert considering I haven't been able to successfully mod a Skyrim game. Ever. But there are some gamers out there running 700 mods+ smoothly so hopefully today can be my lucky day! Thanks so much in advance!
  4. Hi guys, Thanks so much for your quick replies. Unfortunately even with Helgen Reborn deactivated, deactivating all my mod plugins via NMM, I'm still stuck. It's not the typical glitch where the cart flies off into the mountains and spirals like crazy, instead it's a glitch where the wagon has the correct motions like it's moving, but it's not moving down the road at all. The wagon is just swaying/rocking/moving in place. The NPCs are talking normally. The only issue is that the wagon just won't move down the road unfortunately. :( Thanks for suggesting Alternate Start, I wanted to avoid using it only because of how script-heavy it is and possibly conflicting with my other mods but I will certainly keep it as an option if all else fails.
  5. Hi all! I've been attemping to start a new game for the past several hours, but I can't get past the intro wagon ride to Helgen. The wagon rocks and sways like it's moving, and the NPC prisoners sitting in the cart with me are talking normally, but the wagons and horses are not moving down the road to Helgen. I have currently done the following: - Disabled "Helgen Reborn" mod - Ran "GenerateFNISforUsers.exe" - Disabled "Immersive Armors" mod None of these solved the issue. Would anyone happen to have encountered a similar issue and/or have a solution? Thanks in advance!
  6. This is happening to me as well; I go to trade with Piper, and a few seconds into doing so my game crashes to desktop. Unfortunately the only work-around I've found so far is disabling my mods, trading whatever I need to trade with Piper, and then once finished I re-activate my mods. I also crash when trying to sell things to any vendor, so it must definitely be an issue with a mod because without mods activated everything works just fine.
  7. I'm crashing to desktop every time I try to trade armor/weapons/any item with my companion (currently Piper). This didn't use to happen before the update and I only have texture/mesh mods, and the following: Fallout4.esm DarkerNights.esp DarkerNights-FarHarbor.esp CarryWeight200Strength.esp CarryWeight99999.esp CraftableAmmo.esp CraftableAmmo_plus.esp EasyLockpicking.esp DeadBodyCollision.esp Insignificant Object Remover.esp More Where That Came From Diamond City.esp The Eyes Of Beauty.esp VeryRichMerchants.esp MegaExplosions_x2.esp Remove Interior Fog - Merged.esp fog.esp Fr4nssonsLightTweaks.esp
  8. Great thanks so much! Will definitely check that out. I actually uninstalled Warzon (and a couple of other mods that I realized I really don't need), installed SSME, and I started a new game; I couldn't play through the whole thing because I had to head out of my house, but yeah, no crashes! Usually I wouldn't even make it through 1 minute before I would CTD, but I made it up to the dragon attack and then I closed out the game on purpose. I was sad to still see that there are errors on my Papyrus log so it looks like I still have some funky mods that are causing issues, but I'll have to look into those in more detail to find out what's wrong. Thanks again!! It gives me hope to know that I can at least start a new game without it screwing up, haha. Hopefully I have this much luck once I get to Whiterun! I was CTD'ing around there as well, unfortunately.
  9. Oh great, thanks for the link! I'll go ahead and install that right now. I have something called Safety Load already, could I possibly use both Safety Load and SSME? I also I noticed that SSME implements 'Sheson's Memory Patch'; there is a thread here that was giving great testimonials about Sheson's Skyrim Memory patch, and how it greatly reduced the amount of CTDs; since SSME mentioned implementing Sheson's memory patch, should I not bother with the link I mentioned above? Thanks again for all your advice!
  10. I have the same question, I'm a super noob when it comes to this kind of stuff, and all I see is: [NotPlacebo] GiveFirstBornToSheson=1 But I feel like there's something else I'm supposed to be doing. I think there is an SKSE patch file that we are supposed to install? I'm confused...
  11. Ah okay, sounds good, thanks a lot - I'll definitely be uninstalling Warzones then, and I'll look into the lite version of the 2k textures. I'll also trim down on my mod lists, I think I just went a little trigger-happy and just downloaded everything I saw and wanted, but I'm sure I could do without a lot of them.
  12. Hi, Postal - I've heard that too about Warzones, I might uninstall it and see if that helps. And yes, I don't know much about ENBoost but I have RealVision ENB which has ENBoost included
  13. Hi, thanks in advance for your help. At this point, Skyrim is literally unplayable unfortunately...When I leave the Homemead Brewery and go anywhere near Whiterun, I CTD; I'm not sure if this is the only area that's giving me CTD troubles since I haven't gotten very far in the game, but Riverwood was fine - never CTD'd there. It got so bad that eventually I decided to just start a new game in Skyrim, because I didn't have much to lose. When I started a new game, I couldn't even make it to the end of the prisoner carriage ride to Helgen before I CTD'd. So now, I'm stuck between a save file where I can't go anywhere near my next destination, and starting a new game in Skyrim and not being able to even reach the end of the intro scene. I do have quite a few mods installed (232 to be exact), but I have ran them all through LOOT to make sure there are no warnings or errors (there is only one error but the mod creator ensures that it is compatible and LOOT should not be seeing it as an error), but aside from that, no other errors or warnings. I've also used TES5Edit to clean the files in my Nexus Mod Manager. I've also tried Wyre Bash to build a Bash Patch, so that as many of my mods can work nicely together. I've disabled Auto Save since I've heard that also can cause CTD issues. I've checked my Plugins.txt to make sure that I don't have a duplicate of Skyrim.esm (I actually don't even have Skyrim.esm at all, in there). Now, I'm at a loss because I really want to play this game, but I can't for the life of me understand why I'm still CTD despite taking the above steps. If anyone can help me in any way or offer up any suggestions or guidance, I will be absolutely grateful. Below are my two latest Papyrus Logs, and latest LOOT mods list. If there's any other information I can provide at all, please let me know. Papyrus Log - Latest Papyrus Log #2 (Earlier, I tried without the mod Schlongs of Skyrim installed because I thought it might have been causing the CTDs, but then my game still crashed anyway) LOOT - Mods List
