  1. Hey Taz, It's been years since I played Skyrim but I always used SkyUI. It was a staple mod. When I play again it will be one of my first downloads
  2. So I found this post while trying to fix Skyrim SE and remembering the old days I dropped the XMLs in the folder and the lag went away. The HDT doesn't work but the lag is gone and BBP now works on the converted HDT body
  3. In response to post #24738304. #24738404, #24738464, #24738479, #24738524, #24738604, #24738659, #24738679, #24738694, #24738739, #24738779, #24738799, #24738804, #24738919, #24738944, #24738974, #24739104, #24739184, #24739199, #24739204, #24739289, #24739329, #24739359, #24739394, #24739409, #24739474, #24739514, #24739544, #24739564, #24739609, #24739619, #24739639, #24739689, #24739759, #24739784, #24739884, #24739949, #24739999, #24740019, #24740029, #24740039, #24740124, #24740139, #24740174, #24740184, #24740199, #24740234 are all replies on the same post. Foster I agree with you. If you listen to both Chesko and Isoku there is a barrier between modding as a hobby and modding at the next level. Time is money and one can only put so much time into any project without losing money. Many modders are already at the point of quitting because they have gone as far as they will go for a hobbie. The community's premature overreaction has pushed many good modders away. As you say it's a wake up call. I spend a good 40 hours a week modding and have been modding for a decade but I share very little because to be honest the aggravation of support is not worth my time.
  4. I think the CTD on load has to do with the size of the save in conjunction with how much it's trying to load at once. NOT CORRUPTION!!!!. Normal saves are about 3k. At level 80 I was at 15k. Bloated saves usually run 40-50k and are a sure sign of a problem. I started a heavily modded game recently and I was at 6k once all the mods loaded and before I left the alternate start prison cell. I suggest making a new save with all the mods you intend to run from inside the abandoned prison (alternate start) Load that first and then the save you are playing on. Doing this has never failed me and it allows me to load very large saves (15k). This is clearly like all the other memory issues and someone needs to create a dll memory patch/saver for loading saves.
  5. Even without ENB all the NVIDIA 320+ drivers cause me to CTD. I tried them all. I run 2X 580 3gb SLI. I keep rolling back to the 314 driver but since I upgraded to Windows 8 I have trouble with those drives too. The will work fine for a few hours but if I CTD I cannot load the game back up with out getting a render error message.
  6. Skyrim has a tendency to run out of RAM-VRAM due to its 32-bit nature. You have to compromise and remove soemething
  7. If you use loose files instead of BSAs your loading times will speed up. This is because the game has to uncompress the BSA into memory before it can be used. I have only two BSAs: Animations and Update. I discovered that the behavior files in both of those do not play well with FNIS and those two BSAs are better left untouched. I unpacked the non animation portion of the Update BSA and installed it loose though. I saw noticable performance gains particularly from the texture and mesh packs. Scripts inside BSAs are known not to function properly. I personal recommend, based on years of experience, loose files. I also optimized the remianing BSAs with BSAopt. I optimized the texture pack with DSSopt as well but left it as an archive. Use the instructions for both of those programs from STEP not from the download site.
  8. aasexdatenpcplayerlead.psc is from Ap Skyrim and known to cause crashes I have and Love AP Skyrim but I tried to uninstall it. It made no difference because the script kept running. I have no solution as of yet. It may be a conflict. I completely removed AP Skyrim and got the same crash in the same place but different script. Must be a mod conflict.
  9. I love Better Vampires by Brehanin 5_7 but I have noticed the smae thing. I also use the no Dawnguard version. I think the no Dawnguard version is not quite updated with the latest patch.
  10. Better Vampire Sight and Night Eye by LloydChristoph as recommended fixed both my Better Vampires night eye and my TOL werewolf night eye so thanks.
  11. You have to untoggle the vampire first. This only happens if you do not change the race in the ini. to the correct race. In other words your told the game you were a different race than you actually are via the ini. Than go back and change the race in the ini to your race.
  12. I finally gave up and went back 200 saves.
  13. I have looked and I can say that I neither added nor removed any mods when this started to happen and I also did not start or finish any quests. I have no idea what caused this. I do know that this sucks really bad.
