  1. That's just sort of a plague for the gaming community at large, mate. We can start taking it up with society at large, if ya want.
  2. hi there i was wanting to know what a noob in audio recording should get as far as recording equipment. I was wanting to help out in the modding community and help out. also i do a little videography and wondered what audio could equipment that can do both record for videos and help record audio for voice acting. i was thinking of mods with atual mini movies.... any suggestions anyone? If you want a really good big bang for your buck deal, you should check out the PreSonus USB Audiobox. It comes with great studio software, as two line ins, 3 outs, an in/out midi controller, and is compatible with pretty much everything under the sun as far as hardware goes. I've used mine both for studio recording vocal tracks and some amateur VA. It was about $90 when I purchased it, and you'll probably be able to find it cheaper now. The big thing is the type of mic you get. I suggest a studio condenser, especially if you're looking to do spoken voice type recording. These can get a bit pricey (opening level is about $50, though I wouldn't suggest those ones), but they're well worth the investment because of durability and versatility. I use the Neumann TLM 102, but that's probably not something you'd look at for starters. I've used one of these, and it wasn't a bad experience. http://www.amazon.com/MXL-770-Cardioid-Condenser-Microphone/dp/B0007NQH98/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1375225545&sr=8-2&keywords=studio+condenser+mic As for the audio/video, your best bet would probably be an area mic or multi-directional of some kind, then clean it up with sound editing software post-production. That gets sort of tricky, though, especially if you're new to the field. You can PM me for more specific questions if you want.
  3. Hey, if you're still working on this project, I've got 4 years of professional voice lessons under my belt and a great mic/recording equipment, and would love to do some vocal work, voice acting included.
  4. BUMP POST! Can't wait to see the character I'm voicing in the updates! Also: If you want some help with concept and continuity, I'd be more than willing to help with concept material, character dev, dialogue, etc.

I have a very limited ability to do any major (or cool, really) modding myself, but love the work this community puts out and would like to contribute in some way. Also decent at the nitgritty joys of ReProccing to fit Tendo's SkyRe and would love to work some QA. Can provide demos upon request.

Qualifications and resources: - Can do several accents --- Can make many unique characters - Own my own studio equipment from music recording --- Neumann TLM 102 studio condenser microphone for very high quality audio free of white noise and pops --- StudioOne Artist series software; conversion to any audio file type possible & added audio quality - MAJOR TES fan; I love to stick to lore, but see the benefits in parting from it sometimes. --- I'm a published writer, and would love to help with story line and character development; can be lore friendly or something entirely new: either way, I'm game. - Flexible schedule: on summer break from college and unemployed, so I'm bored a lot and would love to spend my time making your quest mod awesome! --- Will respond to contact within 24 hours or less --- Can record material and send back via email in proper format within 48 hours or less - Basic skills with Creation Kit --- Can lighten workload by designing character face-gen for unique quest characters and testing in-game --- Willing to test any added items in-game and make appropriate balancing edits If you're interested, you can contact me with a PM on this site or email me at [email protected]
  7. Basically, I'd just like to request a couple revolvers, mainly some old-school looking Colts like the Dragoon or Patterson Percussion series. , the Colt Dragoon Percussion Revolver, a .44 originally made for mounted cavalry, or this, , an oldschool Colt .36 Lawman. I think guns like these are a must-have for people wanting to get more out of the wasteland gunslinger vibe that Fallout made a very viable option from about lvl 15 on. I have perused the very limited amount of revolver mods, and found them to be very quality mods, but on the whole too blocky in their aesthetics. Please add any other great-looking revolvers in the comments. =)
  8. Frankly, I love the modding community and all that it does, and I would love to contribute, however my talents with computers is quite limited, as is my time to learn how to work the creation kit beyond just editing a couple items or making a new exterior. However, I DO have a few resources that I've noticed most people asking for with their quest mods (namely, recording equipment and the will to do some voice acting). Therefore, I would like to offer my talents as a voice actor; I have a very nice mic--Neuman TLM 102 (I use this to record/perform music, but I don't see why it couldn't be used to advance some Skyrim quest mods)-- and figure myself to have a decent speaking voice, and I'd love to offer my support to any modders looking to enhance the Skyrim experience. https://soundcloud.com/blitzkrieg3801/justicar-sound-bite This is a link to my soundcloud with 2 voice bites and a few old songs: the latter can be disregarded. If you are working on a quest mod and need a male voice actor, please feel free to PM me. I can respond pretty fast and set up work with any interested modders within a couple days of contact. Keep on keepin on, modders. Blitz
  9. I would like to point out the incredible creepiness of the "illusion test" ad that pops up in the DL window almost every single time. If not there, it is in the right hand corner's ad banner almost all over the site. You all know what I'm talking about: That "can you pass this illusion; HALF HUMAN HALF DOG" shananigans. Qutie frankly, I've seen the thing so many times that I'm starting to get nightmares Iknow that the answer is "become a premium member so you don't have to deal with it in the DL window," but I'm a bit broke and then some with my climbing and school. So please, moderators, I implore you: I can deal with any banner you put up there, but please, PLEASE get rid of that one... Sincerely yours, Blitz
  10. I know for a fact that the Raven Elves have black lips.
  11. Well, that makes sense, i guess.... Kinda sucks. Ah well.
  12. First off, I'd like to say that I REALLY like the new forums. They're mighty purty. Now to the brief substance. Does anybody know WHY people can't make mods for the X-Box 360? Cause the 360's engine is a lot better than any computor unless you wanna go out and spend crazy amounts on the high-end gaming comps... Cause if you think about it, the X-Box live market place could easily hold a place for mods to put on to the X-Box, and it would be pretty simple (I imagine--I have no REALY idea about any of this) to make an engine to manage your mods within the 360... Well, that's my question of the week. Thanks all. Blitz
