  1. I know this isn't exactly what you're looking for, but hopefully it will help with what you want. I'm going to start working HoS and while I'm at it I'll look into runewords and see if it is possible to make them like normal runes for you. http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1767/?tab=14&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fwitcher3%2Fajax%2Fmodbugs%2F%3Fid%3D1767%26openreport%3D135935 Edit: I'm sorry, but it looks like it is impossible to decrease the amount of rune slots the runewords take up.
  2. I'm trying to mod both of the expansion pack, but don't know where the files are located. Can someone please help me find them? Thank you.
  3. Didn't think if anyone was going to reply, so I did not bother to update this post about what I found. It turns out that all the weapon files can't be modded do to the mod tool allowing over sized files to be reimported.
  4. No problem. If you ever have any more questions, feel free to ask them anytime.
  5. It's a glitch with the mod tool. What's happening is that it's allowing the reimporting of over sized files, therefore once you start the game with your mod everything from that file will disappear. Now there is another glitch with the tools you should keep in mind while you mod, not all files that are extracted can be modified (for example the weapon files). So before you start modding, make a new folder in "bundles" and copy all the files that you want to mod into the new folder*, then reimport one file at a time, start the game and if everything from that file is still there, then it's ok to mod that file. However, there are some files that can only be modified very lightly. *you don't need to do this, but it does make it easier on you if anything goes wrong
  6. No prob. You can always try using the HellGhost method if you really wanted to get your mod working, but like I said it's not the best way to mod due to moving files back and forth, but at least you don't have to worry about the file size.
  7. Alright, just tested both. When I modified def_loot_shops I just changed how much of one item a shopkeep had with no problem, but where I started to have problems is when I tried to do it to more then 4 different items or when doubling the amount of just one item, so my conclusion is that it can be modded just very lightly. Now as for def_loot_containers, reimported the original just fine, however, I had the same thing happen to me, no items in any containers. This is what happens when I try to modify any weapon files, so conclusion for that one is that it can not be modified at all. Sorry I couldn't halp you with your mod. Hopefully the dev will put out a official mod tool soon.
  8. It's the "size" that matters, not "uncompressed". Just one more question before I get started on this. When you reimported the non-modified file, did you test it out in the game to see if everything was still there?
  9. That's odd. It should have worked if the modified file was the same size as the original. If you can tell me what file you're trying to mod, I'll try to make time to play around and see what I can find out for you.
  10. A file has to be the exact same size, no bigger, no smaller. Try using Notepad++ and make a note of the "lenght" and "lines" at the bottom of the sceen. If you want to see if it's the mod tool, try to reimport a non-modified file that you're trying to modifiy, if everthing still disappears then you know it's the mod tool.
  11. Yeah I have the same problem with weapons. The updated mod tool is allowing reimporting of over sized files, but the game still won't read them. So as of right now if we want to use the "remporting" method we have to wait until the mod tools are updated again so it will stop this. As for a workaround, you can use the HellGhost method which will allow you to use over sized files, but modding with this method takes a lot longer because you have to move around 24gbs worth the files and whenever there is an update for the game you have to move the files back.
  12. Wolfmod, can you please list the mods that you are trying to use. Some mod have yet to be updated to 1.05, and if that is the case you then need to manually update the mods.
  13. When did you download the mod tools? I had the same problem until I updated, now it's working just fine.
  14. Ok, I really need some help. I'm trying to add addition rune slots to weapons and armor. The mod is working fine for armor, but not for the weapons. If I try to change just one thing in any of the weapon files all of the weapons from that file disappear, and things only get weirder if I try to edit crafting_weapons. Editing crafting_weapons results in all the weapon schematics listed in a single column with no pictures and to disappear. Everything is up to date. Am I doing something wrong?
