  1. I was wondering if someone could make a mod that allows you to turn Valindor, Cairine, and Haran into vampires, complete with useable coffins in their homes and dialogue, without having to get the quest from Vingalmo in Vokihar Keep. It could thus act as a workaround for if Vingalmo won't RNG the quests to you or allow you to do so while a Vampire Lord in the Dawnguard side. It feels like it would give both a mechanical benefit (more coffins to sleep in) and a roleplaying/immersion benefit (you're a powerful vampire, why wouldn't you want to turn some people, and why do you need Vingalmo to tell you what to do?). For reference sake, I'm talking about this quest: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:New_Allegiances
  2. You have to read properly: It's still compatible with the newest version CBBE. It is NOT compatible with the newest version of Bodyslide what is absolutely unnecessary. Oh! Sorry, I get the two confused a lot. Thanks. I'll give it a try, then.
  3. So, I go to install this mod because I think it's high time I get a replacer mod for the vanilla outfits and bodies: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12273/? But what's this? It's no longer compatible with the newest version of CBBE? Okay, I'll just use the ones they mention. So, I go to install this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/65831/? But what's this? It has a list of three entire mods I need to install first to make it work? Okay, I'll give that a shot. So I go to install this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68000/?tab=1&navtag=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D68000%26preview%3D&pUp=1 But what's this? It has a list of FIVE entire mods I need to install to make it work? And one of them says I need to run a special program every time I install or uninstall the mod? Wow, this is getting way too complicated for me. Does anyone have some kind of step-by-step instructions for what mods I need to install, and in what way, to get this to work?
  4. Hey, I started my save file with Breezehome FullUpgradable by default. I don't have any other mods that might mess with Breezehome except the unofficial patch. I have all three DLC and barley any other mods besides USLEEEP and BFU. Just SkyUI, One Tweak, Change Follower Outfits, Localized Guild Jobs, Ars Metallica, Dragon Merchant with Buyable Dragon Souls, Tanker Follower Neisa, Healer Follower Onean, and Wearable Lanterns. No, really, those are my only mods. My rig is bad, so I need to keep my mod load light. This is only my second playthrough. I just got the game about a week or two ago when a guy-friend bought it for me as a gift and I restarted my first playthrough because I wasn't liking my spellcaster build. I'm much more enjoying a heavy-armored dual-sword build. :D So this is a clean start with these mods, and I've only done a few small sidequests in the Whiterun area (I haven't even left the Whiterun Hold yet) and just got Breezehome after slaying my first dragon. I got all the upgrades to Breezehome, both vanilla and from Garath (love the Barbossa reference). I thought I'd buy the study first, just to get a look at it, then replace it with the children's room. Well, the option to buy the children's room from the Jarl's Steward is there, and I can click it. He responds properly, but no Gold is deducted and the study isn't replaced with the children's room. I also still tell Lucia that I don't have a room for her. Please assist? ;-;
  5. I just completed Honest Hearts. I have the Map of Zion, got everything from the rewards locker... but it won't let me leave. Every time I activate the cave door to the Southern Passage, I get a message saying that without a guide or a map, I have no hope of finding my way back to the Mojave. Uh... I have a map. Just got it. So... What's wrong? I have to leave this way to complete the Departing Paradise quest, so I don't think I can use player.moveto to get out. I'm not sure if it's related, but there was a huge black square in front of the cave door to the Northern Passage before I began Honest Hearts. The black square said it was the entrance, but I used the console to move past it and use the actual cave entrance. But that was back at the Northern Passage in the Mojave. There's nothing behind the cave door out of Zion.
  6. Ah, there we go. Turns out I had too many mods running at once for this computer. 150 is the limit for this particular one. Weird, it seems the more high-end the computer I use, the less mods I can use at once.
  7. Just tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Didn't work. I also tried a fresh .ini file. Didn't work.
  8. The only retexture I have is for the Mysterious Magnum. How do I check how much memory my video card has? My load order is: The graphics driver on my new laptop is built-in, so I can't change it. I didn't copy over wifi. I copied via flash drive. Fresh intall? You mean delete my entire game and re-install with the game disc? I'll try a fresh .ini file, see if that helps.
  9. I had the same issue. I just used the console to regain control of my character and went and talked directly to Salt-Upon-Wounds. I just forget what console command I used. And you still end up missing part of the story, so I'd like to see a better solution to this myself, so I'll need the entirety of that scene for Unknown Origins.
  10. Hi. Me again. I moved my Fallout: New Vegas game to a different computer. And if you're keeping track, that's the third time I've done this. It started out great. I fiinished Dead Money with no problems and headed back to the Lucky 38 Presidential Suite to unload all my junk, and saved my game there. But whenever I left the suite to go somewhere, textures of certain metallic objects would show up as rainbow crystals, while Cigarettes and Packs of Cigarettes would show up as red diamonds with the exclamation point. I could live with that if that was all there was, but for some reason this comes with all my save files being corrupted. If I quit the game, I can load back to my save in the Lucky 38 Presidential Suite, and I can even make new saves in the suite, but any saves I make once I leave the suite are erased once everything is corrupted. I figured I learned from the last two times. But so far, verifying my game cache and clicking "Default" under the graphics options doesn't fix it. What's going on?
  11. Hi. Is there anyone who can make a mod that allows Ulysses to be recruitable if he survives Lonesome Road? I know there's several out there, but they all change Ulysses' appearance. I like his breathing mask.
  12. That's actually what I plan to do in Unknown Origins, my Fallout: New Vegas fanfic. I'm in the midst of writing the Dead Money chapters now. First Dead Money chapter is already on fanfiction.net. I'm Cyberweasel89 on there, too. I also plan for Follows-Chalk, Roxie, and Ulysses to return to the Mojave with my Courier when I write up the Honest Hearts, Old World Blues, and Lonesome Road chapters.
  13. Okay, so I moved my Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas games from my old computer to my laptop. After lots of troubleshooting, I got it to work, but I couln't use Console commands. I was told if I uninstalled my infrared device, I could use the Console again. So I did. It worked, but oddly enough, I had to keep uninstalling it each time I turned on my laptop. I was fine with that. Annoying, but better than no Fallout. Well, just now, my USB mouse stopped working in the middle of my game. The laptop has a touch pad, but it's annoying because it keeps clicking when you don't want it to. My mouse is much better. So I check the bottom of my mouse, and the red light on the bottom is turned off. I use my laptop's diagnostics, and it says to download new device drivers from Windows Update. I do. My mouse still doesn't work, but I find out that it works fine in another USB port. So I go back to Fallout and find the Console won't work. I look to see that my Microsoft eHome Infrared Transceiver is re-installed, even though I hadn't restarted my laptop. So I try to uninstall it, and it says the uninstallation worked, but when the device manager re-loads, the Infrared Transceiver is still there. I can't uninstall it now. Any idea what's wrong? At first I thought it was because I set Windows Update to automatically download new device drivers. But I turned off automatic update again, yet my Microsoft eHome Infrared Transceiver still won't uninstall. I can't figure out what's wrong...
  14. Okay, just needed to uninstall the infrared sensor. But that just raises further questions. 1. Why does the infrared sensor keep you from accessing the console? 2. Why can't you just disable it? Why do you have to completely uninstall it? 3. Why can't you restart your computer after you uninstall it? 4. Is there a work around? My father uses this laptop for video chatting. He needs the infrared sensor.
  15. Hi. I recently transferred my Fallout: New Vegas game from my computer to my higher-performance laptop. I thought I had all the bugs worked out, but for some reason I can't access the Console. The console is enabled in my Fallout.ini. I even tried disabled and renabling it. My `/~ key isn't broken. It works just fine. I even tried that key while holding down Shift. I even tried pressing each key on my keyboard one at a time. Nothing seems to be activating the Console. And before you think I'm cheating, I only use the Console for quality assurance. Or for goofing off playthroughs where I put people in weird outfits. XD Someone help a girl out? This is the last step to me finally being able to continue Unknown Origins. Please?
