  1. Thanx for the update!!! Thank you for looking out for us!!
  2. Well, now I know the problem(s), you provided an answer, and your working on a resolution. Thank you for the hours your putting in, and hopefully, we will all be able to log on soon. Keep up the good work!!!!!
  3. I would like it to be possible to fight, cast on self/touch.....underwater, like in Oblivion. If a mod has done this already, please direct me , as I haven't seen it. If it hasn't been done......well, it's on my wish list. Thanx!!!!!
  4. In response to post #8469038. #8469792, #8470339, #8472433, #8472694 are all replies on the same post. Please be VERY careful in limiting your security to just Microsofts tools. At one time, I had everything Microsoft security could offer, and I too thought I was safe.....then BAM!!!! I got nailed by "Mafia" malware. It corrupted EVERYTHING!!! I had to scrub everything and start from scratch. Four levels of Microsoft security didn't help at all.
  5. I'm ignorant here, what is "DoS" or "DDoS" attacks/plague, and how does it affect us users? It sounds bad, is there anything we can do?
  6. Hiya! Newbie here. So how can I switch an NPC wearing armor, and put clothes on them??? I know it's a DR thing, I'm just daft.
  7. Hiya doin', newbie here, Like many of us, we seem to be having, pretty much the same problems; fixing by trial 'n' error. Now then, let's compare notes: My problems occur with no mods at all (crashing at any given time). I'm on Windows 8 (sucks), and have a multicore laptop. I couldn't find " FALLOUT.ini " anywhere, so I just started opening files to find the "UseThreadedAI=0" line. I found it in TWO notebook files: FALLOUT Pref, and just plain FALLOUT. So I changed them both to: UseThreadedAI=1, and wrote in below: iNumHWThreads=2. Saved and Closed. So far (fingers crossed) this is helping. On average, my fastest crashes would come AFTER I entered a room, but not so much out side. Can some one give me advice on this? Over all, I hope I've been informative.
  8. You Betch Ya!!!! Been down the console path, and just now trying my hand at PCing. I always liked Oblivion as a "Middle of the Road" TES game, you know, somewhere between the story writing/ options of Morrowind, and the graphics of Skyrim (didn't care for it's game play/ lack of options). With the help of you modding pros, I'm really looking forward to all the things I never did on the console!!!! This is a brand new-old game for me!!
  9. Hi Folks! After a dozen years of playing on the Box, I have gone up a rung to now say I'm a newbie PCer. I decided to start on an old favorite of mine, Oblivion GOTY. This is what educated guessing has led me to do thus far: Install the Official Bethesda Oblivion/Shivering Isle patches, Install the Nexus Mod Manager, install the Unofficial Oblivion/Shivering Isle patches, and for giggles, install (successfully) the Alternate Beginning Mod (on the boat). So, I noticed a lot of mods I want to try, however, many use specific Mod Managers, and therein lies my question: Can I install multiple mod managers without conflict? Please educate this ignorant soul with your wisdom and experiences.....laid it on kinda thick, huh? Hahaha!
