  1. Here i was shooting ghouls in the face with my shotgun then i saw it! Som the Dead from Monster mod, with its glowy pulsating veins of awsomeness...it looked wicked. My mutant has to have that(i play as a mutant :p) So iv been reading tutorials, guides and the sorts lots of them tried so many methods to get it to work i probably could have tought picasso a thing or two about colors by now(i wish)First attempt,my mutant's skin glows faintly along the bright veins looks like i got bleached was weird.second attempt my skin took upon a red pigment, but the veins were glowing just not pulsating,i tought i was on the right...i tried to manually add a new texture set to my mutant in nif but upon loading the mesh in geck it crashes so again im back at square one wondering why its not working!! Maybe im overcomplicating things for myself,iv made the glowmaps in gimp with the black-background and only adding color to the part i want to glow. And for some reason that makes my skin looked bleached as well, well makes it brighter im just *bangs head on wall* out of ideas x.x Any help is appreciated i really want my mutant to stand out and arm wrestle Frank Horrigan and make him weep like a little girl!!
  2. Iv been playing with supermutants playable race by smileytops as my main character race and id like to go bout a unique look and stuff so im wondering, how would one come to fit say, ghoul textures(zombie muttie ftw!) to the SM body and head without it looking like brahmin turd?,would it just be easier to mess around with the default human body since i have no experience texturing but am quite familiar with meshing...at any rate any information on the subject would be greatly appreciated <3 Thanks!
  3. Iv been tinkering a lot with playable supermutants lately and sure enough i learned a lot about meshing and blender, but i am no "artist" i cant improve upon the existing mutant textures and id like to request help with something kinda simple but it would add a lot to immersion ;P Last night after finishing my thermal meltdown weapon i was actually wondering what would happen to a super mutant exposed to constant radiation and i came upon this idea.He just absorbs it.That being said radiation is a form of energy so why not "use" that energy in someway well, short story long if someone could help me add glowy veins similar to what the glowing ones have going on to the super mutant texture it would be swell :D,i tried to do it myself but it ended up looking like a kid drew scribbles on the mutant with a glowstick, and a dim stick at that ._. So yea looking forward to replies on this matter <3 thanks! Edit:or if someone could explain to me how to make one of the many epic retextures of f03 mutants follow the NV mutants uv map so it looks right id appreciate it as well :D
  4. Yea i tried it but sadly mutant's body and armors are alot larger than vanilla and they really tend to block the view unless you absolutly wield a big gun like gatling or flamer, the rifle position and one handed places your arms in front of you and their large biceps completly obstruct the view. Its a shame but compromises must be made to enjoy some mods :o
  5. As title says, the custom weapon im working on when sheathed is quite...weird the "asthetic" parts i added(wich used to be static objects) dont follow the gun when sheathed in this instance its a 2handhandle heavy weapon so it should all turn invisible when sheathed...but it dosnt what am i missing exactly?Never worked on weapons in nifskope only armors so far :o Any insight on this matter would be greatly appreciated <3
  6. gah and now when i export the result it dosnt even show up properly in geck, its like the whole thing is invisible x.x well i fixed that only oddity left to figure out is why despite the right bones being in the right places attached to the right spots, the right pauldron still shows up to the left side o.O Final Edit: yay im all done, for now at least, got the entire thing working and looking half decent(mutant body is huge takes alot of real estate in first person) but haha! Thank you so much for telling me how to install the tools properly <3
  7. sweet deleting everything and installing them in that specific order worked,i cant thank you enough :D ill soon be clad in thick enclave power armor thanks to you! <3<3<3
  8. Maybe that was my error i had nif already installed before adding blender and the other tools.Ill give it a try thanks for pointing that out :D
  9. I did this is where i block tho, after installing blender and every plugins required to import or export a nif file when i do try to import it i get an error message saying something like "error pyffi scripts missing" yet i installed them in the proper folder,i checked the error message, went on google to figure out what it meant in the cmd log and after i tought i fixed that i get another error and its starting to feel like the gods of gaming dont want me to succeed ._. lolz Tried with blender 2.49,didnt work i then tried a more recent version,2.52.b and thats when i tought i had success till the error message changed for something much more complicated. And as cool as i find blender 2.7 it dosnt have nif compatibilities just yet :x
  10. Time to swallow my pride and realise i reached my limit, for the past week or so iv been trying as best i could to make an enclave power armor(or any actually) to fit the custom super mutant body from smileytops awsome mod ST playable mutant.Im very familiar with nifskope but this goes beyond what it can do,simply scaling vertices and what not always end up making the armor and body look like a stupid blob. Tried installing blender and adding the scripts required to work with nif files but that too i failed.Tried using the power armor models included in the marts mutant ressource mod but that too failed same reason as above different body, different scaling, tons of clipping x.x Im humbly asking for anyone some help, either helping me figure out how to work blender proper to hide the clipping parts or i dunno.Im all out of ideas any help at this point is welcomed <3 thanks in advance!
  11. In the past iv created armor mash ups and the sorts using nifskopes for both skyrim and NV without too much hassle but this is giving me quite a headach, been spending the past 4 days trying to figure out a way using nifskope only to fit the enclave power armor(or any power armor for that matter) to the SmileyTops playable super mutant race body, using creature ressources from the spinebreaker mutant ressource files there was an armor nearly perfect to fit the body and i was sure it was gonna work but turns out it failed miserably. The creature bones are not compatible to work with a base player skeleton bones,at least i think thats the issue, when i copy to branch the entire armor along with its bones...the armor "shrinks" in weird ways trying to adjust itself to the new body but frankly it just looks plain stupid.I tought of trying to scale the vertices to make it...work but that too isnt working too well. Basicaly what im asking is am i overcomplicating things?Im trying to stay away from blender had epic issues trying to get nifscripts to work with it and decided to just give up on that whole ordeal and stick to something im familiar with for the time being. It feels to me i might be missing something obvious and any help to figure out what im doing wrong would be greatly appreciated <3.
  12. Was kind of hoping it would be something as simple as adding "proxy data" to a race and make it sort of a clone but i suspected it was much more complicated :P Seems alot of work for the sake of being treated like crap by nords fiddling with scripts and the likes im not too comfortable with altering vanilla behaviors. Ill look into it thanks for the reply it opened my eyes :D now im gonna go find an in depth tutorial on script behaviors, just to make sure i dont screw something bad and make all the high elves pretend to be mudcrabs or something.
  13. Merely for immersion's sake id like to figure out a way to make a custom race be recognized by npcs in the game as an elf(Altmer, bosmer, dunmer wichever, dosnt matter)Im playing as ningheim but im pretending to be an high elf(used alot of morphs to get my character to look the part) and iv been dying to figure out a way to make npcs in-game treat me as an elf,ya know how nords are so grumpy and racist to elven kind. If anyone knows or had dealings in a similar matter assistance would be greatly appreciated. If it helps any i am familiar with modding and using the creation kit,im not asking for someone to do it for me just to make it clear :P.
  14. I am trying to obtain a cinematic feel to my game but in general i cant use Enb they seriously hurt my fps,i have been looking for one that fits my needs but alas i have failed. So i have two questions here: Firstly:If anyone is able to suggest me a high performance enb with black bars i would really appreciate it :D Second:if said enb still cripples my fps how does one get to add black bars to my game whitout the use of an enb? Edit:Nvm i figured it out <3
