  2. I'd love to but I'm only a texture artist and there aren't any models that fit with those designs (King's Guard and Brienne's if that's what you were referring to, Tywin only wears the Lannister armor I did except with a neck piece and a robe thing). There are very, very, very few modelers in the Skyrim modding community it seems -- I contacted Omegared99 to see if he wanted to collaborate but he seems like a really busy guy. I actually made all three skins in just a couple days and since then I've just been waiting for something to magically pop up so I can resume work on this project. Until a modeler shows up, this project is in limbo.
  3. Yes, I actually agree but I tried to make it as accurate as possible: http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/4496/lannister.jpg To compromise I made it a lot more saturated and darker than the real version.
  4. While it's not exactly a full scale mod as the title/logo suggests (at least not at the moment), I'm looking for a modeler or someone who can edit models using different parts of other models to make armor based on HBO's Game of Thrones. Current work that has been completed is included (as well as available for download) in donker316's Game of Thrones - Followers mod. This work has been done on previously made models that have either loosely fit what was needed or was already independently made with the intended armor in mind. However, as a dedicated texturer, this is about as far as I can go without some modeling help. I'm looking for at least a model-hackjober who knows how edit models, tweak their corresponding UV Maps (to fit all in one map when using different parts), can properly configure them as a .nif, and preferably has Steam so we can collaborate directly. The media portion is usually the first thing people consider when looking at total conversion mods, so perhaps if we put enough of these models out there, a proper and talented team can put them to good use as a foundation. I've made the mistake of promising "exclusive" permission to hopeless mod teams in the past so the work here will be open source. You're obviously free to make things with your own direction and at your own pace as this is a mod and not a job, but keep in mind that this project is entirely focused on armor seen in the HBO series. In fact, if you're not even looking to do work over a period of time and just want to contribute a model if you're bored or something you can just post it on here (as a .nif) and I'll work with it if there aren't huge problems and it's decent enough. http://i.imgur.com/6GLYF.jpg (Detail/Description page) http://i.imgur.com/QkzrJ.jpg (Detail/Description page) http://i.imgur.com/kf2dO.jpg (Detail/Description page) http://i.imgur.com/Rz2oC.jpg (Detail/Description page) http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/images/1634313-1342975526.jpg (Detail/Description)
  5. Some mods are collaborative work, would be cool if all members were also listed as owners of the mod to go along with the permissions. Perhaps an "in-house" private discussion section too on the mod page would be neat as well.
  6. This would be a huge project, we still don't even have proper tools yet. You need very experienced modders who not only know what they're doing but also have unwavering dedication. I've been a part of several of mod teams for MTW2 and M&B:W and a lot of the problems come from the fact that you have a ton of good-natured "fans" of the concept (LOTR, GoT, etc) who think they can start a mod team or contribute with all their ideas yet they have no idea what's even possible to implement. If a proper team for this does ever pop up I'll be sure to take a peek. Here's some of my work that I've done for a Warband mod: http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/2536/starkinfantry.jpg http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/1465/lannisterkingsguard.jpg http://img829.imageshack.us/img829/702/lannisterheavy.jpg
  7. Tall order, but maybe the easiest section of modding in my point of view. Here are some pretty good tutorials. They might not be exactly specific to your purpose but the principles are still the same. http://www.fpsbanana.com/tutcats/5 Since you said you're new to modding I'll assume that you don't know the absolute basics. The first thing you have to understand is that a model has to be UV mapped ("meshed") so that a texture can be applied to it. Depending on the quality of the mesh, parts of the texture map can be distorted and stretched out of proportion on the actual model when everything looks normal on the map -- this is why you always have to keep in mind and adjust to how your texture fits onto the model. Actually obtaining the UV map so you know where you're texturing can be done in a couple ways: you can texture over an existing texture (but most of the time it's incoherent and you don't know exactly what is what) or you can extract the model and use a program like Lithunwrap to import the model and export the map. As for the actual texturing, some of it's artistic scope and some of it's technique/procedural. Photoshop is pretty much the end-all/be-all of what you work with. Most of the things you need to know are in those tutorials but basically you have to make a base texture and then use the polygon-lasso selection tool to select parts and then use dodge and burn tools to manipulate it to make edges and all the details (the tutorials go more into detail). From there you can go more in-depth and add stuff like overlaying textures (like cloth) and dirt and up the lighting with contrast and such to bring it out. I know that this post is pretty generally spoken but that's my best effort. Just remember to be patient and resilient with it.
  8. If someone can whip up a decent and fitting model, I'd be happy to offer to texture it. A "sacred ashes" project (specifically liliana+morrigan) would be fitting..
  9. I'm a texture artist willing to help. I posted on your forums but thought I'd leave a word here too. I must warn you though, I am very good. Here are some samples of my most recent work: http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/5070/bilwittmp1.jpg http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/789/bilwittmp2.jpg http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/5603/bilwittmp3.jpg http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/9438/glorfindel.jpg http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/2213/theodenfinal.jpg
  10. Has anyone looked into this? Changing the position of the holstered weapons from floating behind the back of the character like a jet pack and more of a natural place like at the waist? Hopefully it doesn't require animation tweaks because that would be tedious..
