  1. I last played the game on Dec 11th, have not changed/installed/removed any mods, and as far as I can see the game has not updated. But I tried to load my latest save and it just stops loading when it shows 75% loading. I even walked away, got some coffee and fed my cats, came back and it is still at 75% loading 15 minutes later. Tried again, I can load a save that I DL'd and installed just to test out if that would work. that has zero mods installed, and it loads fine. But my most recent save just refuses to load. This is getting ridiculous. I lost all my old save games from before Patch 5 due to the "missing mods" error, even if I re-install those mods, and now my completely new install that was working fine, is refusing to load any of my more recent saves. I just want to play the bloody game. Help!
  2. I think that is Vanilla. Same effect as when a deathclaw walks near you. The weight of their PA shakes the ground when they walk close. I only noticed it recently as well when I used the "settlers into PA mod" to have PA sporting NPC support on demanding missions in the glowing Sea ( Atoms Storms is a kick ass quest mod, level 50 plus only) I agree its excessive (how bad is your shake?) but it doesnt bother me too much. (assuming your noise/shake is the same level as mine) Well, it's bad enough that when the follower runs up to me when I attempt a stealth sniper shot, I literally have to wait until they stop moving to do so because my scope is jumping all over the place. If it is vanilla I'll either deal with it, or hopefully find a mod that removes it. I put my followers all in PA when going into the Glowing Sea, and the cumulative effect is quite bad.
  3. Driving me nuts and can't run it down but basically whenever I have a companion or NPC, like the BoS, who is in power armor the entire screen shakes whenever they move. Like they are shaking the ground when they walk and their footsteps are excessively loud. I've tried disabling the mods I have that effect power armor, specifically Perennial Power Armor, Lima Detachment, Power Armor Materials and Paint, & Enclave Power armor and it is still happening. I thought it might be Power Armor Movement and Sound, as I had that installed at one point, but I have removed it, and made sure the associated files also got removed, but the problem still persists. Not sure where else to look, but if anyone knows what is causing it, or could even point me to the record in xedit that would be causing it, it would be greatly appreciated.
  4. This has just started happening, and I have no idea what is causing it. Every 10-15 minutes or so my game completely freezes. I have noticed that every time it happens it is when I am mousing over a corpse and the game just stops. I have tried waiting it out, but it just stays frozen. Nothing works, can't even alt-tab out, if I do I just get a black screen. When I try to use ctrl-alt-delete to open the task manager to close down the game, it just goes back to a black screen. Trying to access the task bar does nothing. The only way to get my computer to respond is to use ctrl-alt-delete to sign out. Or reboot my computer. Note, the game is NOT crashing, it is literally locking up my computer. I have not changed my load order recently, I have validated my files, I have tried using resaver to clean my saved games but it shows no problems with my saved games, just nothing seems to fix the problem. I have gone through the last crash report I have and used XEdit to fix the problems it showed, but my game is still freezing. I have uploaded the latest crash file, that includes my load order. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.
  5. OK, so when the Slog becomes a settlement you have Wiseman, Deirdre, Jones, Holly and Arlen Glass and three unnamed ghouls labeled as workers. Except I have 10 "workers" at my settlement, and none of them can be assigned to do any job. I cannot even select them in the workshop menu. They show as unassigned, with the red silhouette when I mouse over them, and, to make matters worse, they count as settlers in the build menu. Which means they need food, water, beds, etc. I have been told that the vanilla "workers" that come with the settlement are assignable, but I have tried to assign/select all of them in the build menu and none of them can be selected. They also, and this is even more annoying, continually change every time I travel to the Slog. By that I mean, the clothes, or rather lack thereof (yay, nekkid ghouls... gag) and items in their inventory all change every single time I go to the Slog. Even if I use the console to open their inventory and give them new clothes/weapons, whatever, the very next time I move out of that worldspace and then travel back, they all have new clothes etc. equipped. When I open the console and click on them to get their FormID it shows as FFxxxxxx whatever. But there is no mod "FF" anywhere in my load order. The last mod in my load order is showing as E7 in NMM, and if I do a search in the FormID window in xedit, it gives no entries with that FormID. When I do a search in xedit for the three original "workers" they are not showing any other mod that might be effecting them. IE. they just show in the vanilla Fallout4.esm and no other mods anywhere in my load order make any changes to any of the three. Oh, and I forgot to mention, they have appeared in each new game I have started as well. They are there in all of my saved games when I travel to the Slog. So, anyone have any idea why I have all these extra "workers", where they came from, or how to get rid of them?
  6. I've been playing the mod now pretty much since the day it came out. It was buggy as hell, honestly I think they should have released it as a Beta-build and gone from there. Probably gotten a lot less hate for the technical problems people were experiencing. As far as the content? Some of it I did not like, some of it seemed to be missing parts? For example, you can get a quest from a guy in the NCR camp that asks you to find his old CO in Bright-Town. It was, I thought, an interesting quest, lots of interesting backstory stuff found in the area about the events that happened there. And a bunch of smaller quests also found in the area that just added to the experience. Good stuff. Find the guy, convince him not to commit suicide and to go back to the NCR. All good, cool I thought. Except when I got back to the Fellow who gave me the quest, the options for the dialogue where limited to lying and saying he had killed himself, OR that he had been put in a cell, supposedly by the NCR. Wait, what? When did that happen? Why did it happen? And then I get a pop-up that he "will remember this?" Like, wait, is that good or bad? Some of the quests had just, really 180 degree ending to them or had me thinking to myself I was doing the entirely wrong thing, but I was literally locked into that course of action by the quest giver. And there was no way to progress but by doing something that, literally, made no sense what-so-ever. Executing someone for eating cereal? WTH? I honestly felt like I was being forced to commit murder because the quest-giver was a total nut-job. Think that was one where I actually re-loaded a previous save and just did not ever complete. Now, all that being said, I honestly believe that a lot of the criticism towards the mod is, well, stupid to put it bluntly. People harping on the NCR in the game not being lore-friendly, or that the "real" NCR" wouldn't do this and such is a glaring example of what I mean. OK, first off, they are NOT the NCR, that is made VERY clear to you in the opening minutes of the Mod. They are deserters who left the "real" NCR after getting crapped on and lied to by the leadership of the NCR. They where promised they where getting discharged, and then told "Oh the Legion just attacked us, go and die on the dam." So yeah, they left. Followed General Blackthorne into the Frontier to get away from the NCR. This is explained by in-game dialogue, by a (very nicely done) cutscene that you go through, all at the beginning of the mod. And still the People are whining "The authors are wrong." Or that somehow this group of literal deserters, are not enough like what some rando guy on the internet thinks is the "real" NCR. That is because they are NOT the friggin' NCR! Duh! Or the part about not being able to join the Enclave. Which you have never been able to join in ANY Fallout game. Sure, in FO3 you can go along with Eden's plan and sabotage the water purifier (and genociding everyone in the DC area, just in case you forgot that part.) but it does little to change the outcome. Even if you cooperate with the Enclave and give Autumn the code to the purifier, he kills you. Not what I would call getting recruited. And if you have Broken Steel installed, there is still no way to suddenly decide to wander off to the Enclave base and join them. Feel free to try, they all try to kill you. Again, the Enclave wants to KILL everyone who is not up to their "purity" standards, to include the entirety of the population in FO2, to the population of the Capitol Wasteland, and every one else for that matter. This is not some kooky thing that the authors of the Frontier came up with just to screw with Enclave fan-boys, this is actual game lore from, not one, but two Fallout games. So yeah, outside of mods you would never have this option. It is made abundantly clear through two games that the only people that the Enclave wants to keep alive, or has any right to BE alive, is themselves. Even your character in FO3, despite being raised in a vault, is not "pure enough" for them. And they keep trying to kill you through the entire game. Great recruitment policy they have going there. But somehow saying "Well, I have such and such a mod installed, that means you must re-write the lore of the game to cater to my whim" is just, the height of arrogant stupidity. Fine, you want to see it, go write, code, troubleshoot, and make your own damn mod. And, btw, you will still get some entitled A&^hole, just like yourself, whining about how your mod is crap, because it doesn't fit with their ever so important view of their head-canon of what Fallout should be. You really should have submitted it to them before hand to get their approval after all.
  7. I am experiencing a problem where the Pip-Boy is not allowing me to scroll down all the way when reading an entry in the Misc. section off the Pip-boy when reading messages or notes you find. The bottom couple of lines cannot be read, and the ability to scroll down far enough to read the entire text is not working? I believe it might have something to do with screen resolution, as my Pip-Boy also appears to be slightly lower than normal, but I honestly am not sure. Again, not a game breaking bug, just an annoying one that makes a few lines of text unable to be viewed, but one I would still like to fix.
  8. Thanks for the response, I was starting to think the mod was a bug or something. Just looks like something that was in the game, but not implemented yet. Shame, 'cause I really want to add it to my sniper rifle. And that Overpenetrate one sounds like it should be on my Crusher. Ah well, here's hoping they get around to putting them in the game.
  9. I have a weapon mod that is a craftable item, but I am unable to actually add it to any weapon. I got the recipe automatically when I leveled up my crafting skill. It is called Subsonic, and it increases weapon reload speed and fire rate (I believe) Does anyone else have this mod recipe? I have tried looking it up online, but I am not having any luck finding it.
  10. I am encountering a very strange problem/bug on my latest playthrough that I have never had before. During missions, and only during a mission, my screen will go black for anywhere up to 10 seconds or so and then the normal display will come back. The game is still running, I can hear mechs moving/firing, etc. But the game screen is black. The rate at which this happens also varies, sometimes it happens when it becomes my turn and I am trying to select a mech to move, but most often it happens when my mechs are moving and/or firing their weapons, to the point where I never actually see them do either. Sometimes it becomes to frequent that I cannot continue a mission, flickering constantly to a black screen and back to the point where I have to try to catch the cursor over the menu button to save the game and exit. I have been running the same mods for my game for quite some time and have not updated them at all during this new campaign. I have never before run into this problem in previous playthroughs, nor have I been able to find any info about other people having similar problems in their games. And I have no idea what would cause a blackscreen during a mission but at no other point during the game. Modlist that I am currently using Career Extension Give them Kell Hyades Rim Relentless AI
  11. Hey Folks, I've noticed a, well, not so much as a problem with a certain mod I have, but something I am puzzled about and I have no idea how to go about fixing it. The armor has a tempering recipe and can be improved at the workbench, but the resulting improvement to the armor's rating is far, far, less than what I am able to achieve with even vanilla armor at the workbench. For instance, I can get over 600 armor rating out of a vanilla set of leather armor chest piece, but the best I can get with this particular armor is 385 for the same piece. So, my question is, how do I change this to make it comparable to what I can achieve with the vanilla armors in game? I've seen all kinds of posts about how to add tempering recipes to an armor mod that lacks them, but I cannot find any information about what sets the armor value you get when improving a piece of armor at the workbench. I.e. I know it is based on the perks I have, and the type of armor, but what value sets the maximum armor value you get when actually applying those perks/recipes to a specific armor? Help please?
  12. Just got a new computer, so had to reinstall NMM because that is what I have been using for ever. But I cannot get the silly thing to work correctly. To explain, I can move my load order around, I can view my installed mods, but that is it. When I try to log onto the Nexus websight through NMM I get the following message. Login error; Cannot reach the Nexus login server. Either your firewall is blocking NMM or the login server is down. But I have added NMM to the list of programs that are allowed through my firewall for Windows Security. To make matters worse, when I manually DL a file, and try to install it using the ADD mod from file button (The green cross) all that pops up in the Download Manger pane on the bottom left is xxx cannot be added. So, I can't connect to the Nexus with NMM and I can't add any files to my game using NMM. Just a tad frustrated at this point, could anyone please tell me what I am doing wrong and why this program is suddenly not working.
  13. Recently I have been having a strange bug when playing the game that is a bit hard to describe. Whenever I am moving around the game, whether walking or running, I occasionally pause, like I have run into a wall, or an obstacle and cannot move in any direction. Everything else seems to be working correctly, I just cannot move. About the only thing I can do is turn around in place. It happens more often when sneaking, make it almost impossible to do so, but it always happens no matter what I am doing, inside or outside. This persists for anywhere up to 10 seconds or so, and then I am free to move about as normal, until it happens again that is. Again, it happens more often when sneaking, but that is about the only difference. The game itself is not freezing or pausing, everything else around my toon is moving, and working, I can perform other actions, such as firing a weapon, I just cannot move. Any ideas about what could be causing this? I've been unable to find anything like it when searching the web.
  14. So, as the title says, my flashlight has stopped working and I have no idea why. The icon pops up on the screen that says it is active, but the light doesn't actually turn on. Flashlight works fine when in power armor though. And to make it even more confusing, sometimes it DOES work, and then either just stops when I open my pip-boy, or fast travel, or just look at the screen funny. The only mod that I have installed recently is the enhanced wasteland enb and the companion status hud display and I do not believe either one of them changes anything to do with the flashlight. I've done some google work and the only info I can find about fixing this bug is to reset your keyboard commands to default using the in game menu and I tried that, but no joy, still no/intermittent light. Any ideas on what is causing this? Need my flashlight!
  15. I have a mod that is adding about 10 people marked workers to the Slog that are basically useless. They cannot be assigned to do any work, they all just stand around and occasionally (every time I go to the Slog pretty much) they start a fight with the Forged and then the Gunners. But I cannot find out what mod actually adds them, and I really don't want them just standing around and being useless any more. I've tried opening the console and clicking on them to see if that tells me at least the number in my load order of the mod that adds them, but I get FFxxxxxx and I don't have a mod FF installed, so that was a bust. And I do not have any mods that are specific to the Slog, or that modify it, so I am at a loss where these Workers are coming from. Any ideas how to figure this out or does anyone by chance know what mod is adding them to my game?
