  1. Or, never mind, I'm having the same problem with Skyrim no matter what. I can't even look at the plugins. The only other one I'm using it for at the moment is Fallout 4.
  2. For everyone who has had this problem, and used the solution of stopping Vortex from managing the current game, did you attempt to try to have Vortex set the game up for mods before running the game the first time? Bethesda games at least since Oblivion need to have the game run at least once in order to create certain necessary files. You can't even select any of the official provided data files before running at least once because of this.
  3. The question is, will that actually pause dialogue, or does it just drop voices? My only concern is that sometimes it skips ahead before I've finished reading, From what I've seen, silent lip files just make the mouths move in order to decrease bugging and odd crashes, so wouldn't resolve the issue.
  4. Sorry to be so late checking this. The plugins on my list right now that do this, and I've just confirmed they still do: Update.esm Dawnguard.esm Hearthfires.esm Dragonborn.esm ClimatesofTamriel.esm As I said, all of those currently reported a need to cleaning according to LOOT master list, including 4 official master files. It's not causing any particular issues, it's just that the incorrect linking means more steps to find the actual document the link is trying to send people too. I'm sure any other file with a reported need for cleaning will have the same link in Vortex.
  5. Since Nehrim didn't have English speech, and I don't understand German, I'm depending on subtitles, but unfortunately it ends up sometimes going to the next page of dialogue before I'm done reading. A change in font can make faster reading easier, but I think it could be more useful to have the ability to pause pages until I click, or even a way to just go into a traditional dialogue box. Is there already anything like this, or a way to work it out?
  6. When managing Skyrim mods, for mods that are on the LOOT masterlist needing cleaning, there is the popup box in LOOT cleaning info, including a link to read about mod cleaning. It's current not linked correctly, attempting to go to the page 5-mod-cleaning-and-error-checking.html on the TES5Edit GitHub. It has at some point been updated to 7-mod-cleaning-and-error-checking.html.
  7. Unfortunately there's a number of older, unmaintained mods, that will never have a fomod or similar configuration file made for them, and some of the most annoying is the ones with several optional ESPs in subdirectories, that get copied wholesale into your Data directory, and can never be activated there, and such can never be managed properly by Vortex. It would be nice if Vortex was written to recognize this and treat those something similar to the way they're meant to be.
  8. You can also apply mod profiles within Vortex itself, which will automatically disable/enable the particular mod setup you need for certain types of play, including providing a dedicated save game list for that profile. Multiple Nexus profiles won't do this for you. The better question really does come down to whether the benefits of multiple profiles to users outweighs the benefits of restricting profiles to the community, and really there are no particular benefits to multiple profiles for users, except for those who want to troll or manipulate the site. And let's face it, most of the trolls aren't as entertaining as they think (or at all), and there come to be plenty of reasons this site does not want to get embroiled in things like vote manipulation. Don't forget, there are modders who have managed to turn their modding hobby into a job offer, and if someone should get hired based in part on how they manipulated voting and endorsing systems here, and it is discovered later, it can end up hurting Nexus's reputation among the gaming industry. Especially if it happens multiple times. At least being seen to do something to prevent it helps them.
  9. Since switching to the current Nexus Mods site style, old links in non-updated mod and forum pages are no longer pointing to the proper page. It's easy enough to get around manually, just moving the game title text from the domain name to the first directory, but leaves me thinking it should be easy to auto-update these links in batch form. Is there something preventing it from working that way, or just hasn't been done yet?
  10. In response to post #64259471. #64260691 is also a reply to the same post. Like I already said, Pickysaurus, I keep my adblocker locking it down because the one time I did accept your ads, I got a streaming video sucking up all my bandwidth, and would have continued doing it for several minutes. So, have the video ads and other ads that require multi-megabyte downloads been removed? Until then, remember you actually do have users who wouldn't get any advantage anyway. I get to download at 300KB/s, so I already can't reach your limit.
  11. In response to post #64183701. #64191081, #64204401, #64206866 are all replies on the same post. Megapolom, you mean reward the site owners for willingly using malicious ads and giving them money to stop wasting our bandwidth and attempting to infect our computers? I don't understand why it's our place to reward bad behavior, even if it is only $2.
  12. Will you also be removing all video ads, or adding an option for non-supporters to disable video ads? I whitelisted Nexus one time in my ad-blocker to support you, and right away got a video ad. I'm on a pretty stringent daily data cap, and can't afford too many of those before data runs out, and it also uses all available bandwidth so even during late night free periods a streaming video can keep me from being able to do much of anything . . . including downloading files, by the way . . . making a video ad a total deterrent to allowing ads to run.
  13. In response to post #38678005. #38688365, #38733095, #38761740, #53402368, #53506213 are all replies on the same post. Thanks, Selacha, that's been annoying me a couple days, I was hoping the solution would be just about this simple. I'll run it in a bit and see if it works. Quick edit: No gameplay test yet, but already having just loaded and saved the Construction Set no longer fives that warning. Later edit: Works like a charm, real easy to do, no warnings, and no problems seem to crop up.
  14. Yay, for Commodore 64! The first general purpose computer I'd ever gotten my hands on, and had some the best ever games made for it. Even the cross-platform games tended to have their best version there for many years. I remember still having some of the original manuals, and quite a few copies, around the house even in my teens, but it's all gone now. I remember having fun just reading some of the manual . . . especially the backstory for Impossible Mission. Too bad they learned far too late the benefits of backward compatibility.
  15. Well, damn, if it's really that simple, no wonder no one has bothered with a mod! Thanks for the help, I'll check it out and see if it works. I may have to reinstall the game outside Program Files, I know that makes some mods act strange, or not even work, but I'll sure check it out. Update: Did download and install, no problems, and did exactly what I wanted. Plus the new interface makes lots of other things easier, especially finding items in my inventory I do NOT need to be holding onto. Finally sold a bunch of arrows (over 700 Dwarven arrows, plus others) to get another point in speech that would have taken me a LOT longer. Thank you very much, IsharaMeradin, This turns out to be one of the most useful mods already.
