  1. I have the Mouse 4 button as my hand brake for most games with driving. I can use M+KB and drive better than with a controller. It really helps with drifting in CP2077 because you can apply better brakes from the thumb pressure. I have used the M4/M5 as my sprint or other QTE functions on many games.
  2. Crap, I have a Razer Basilisk. No wonder I was having random crashes while driving. I have my handbrake bound to the M5 button. My sniper button was also crashing the game, now that I think about it.
  3. My game just updated during a game session, then crashed. As I exit I see Cyberpunk 2077 Updated as the game hard locks. After checking, I see that we just got patch 2.12a. Anyone have any ideas on what it is? I didn't see an update posted on the official GOG pages.
  4. Thank you darkelfguy! Thank you Nexus! Thank you Morrowind Modding Community! My favorite game is still alive and thriving.
  5. Just got to say a little thing to Robin. Man, I remember you when you were about 14 years old and running the old Morrowind mod site. I must say you have come a long way and done things for the ES community I never thought possible. I don't get on Nexus much these days, but I am more and more impressed every time I can get the chance. Huge props, kudos and fishy sticks and ale for all the years you've been doing this for all of us. We would not be where we are without all that you and the other Nexus crew have done for us. I love these AMA segments, just to see how much you have changed and developed over the years. CHEERS MATE!
  6. Glad to see that Robin and the Nexus crew are keeping it safe for us all. This is why Nexus is the best mod community on the net. Alas it leads to cyber-shites trying to exploit a large pool of victims.
  7. In response to post #15568455. #15569110, #15570245 are all replies on the same post. That site seems to be connected to a new server targeted virus that just started going around the last few days. It has come up on youtube and a bunch of modding sites and file storage sites. Easy to spread stuff with Java based code and script.
  8. It is Action For Men NV causing the missing doors. You will have to delete everything related to the mod and start a new game or go back in your old saves to a point before you installed the mod. It leaves dirty edits and misplaced door references all over the game files. I just lost about 30 hours of a new game I started.
  9. I am having the same issue. It is the bunker door which is missing for me. I am trying to solve it so I will post what I find out. I am thinking that Action for Men NV might be the culprit. It was the only mod I had added when I started having the missing doors. It seems to be altering the references to the bunker doors and some of the metal doors when I check in FNVedit. I'm working on it, so I'll post if I find a solution or cause. I don't use any of the other mods you listed except Project Nevada, and that is not the problem mod.
  10. Please leave this post on the Forum. I have the same issue and am now trying to fix it. Having the form IDs and this post is helping me to track down my bugs and try to isolate and remove them. BTW- What mod was doing that? Was it AWOP?
  11. I already tried going back to the sewer and just doing the Mage's admission quests. but it still happened. That is what made me finally break down and ask for help. I started using that SHOUT mod last month, so maybe it rubbed off. I even started a new game on a different computer with no Midas Magic at all. The same mods I use now got me all the way through a whole game with a Battlemage setup so I know it is not the mods I am running, just maybe an updated .esp or .esm. I did update all my mods and got all the latest patched versions in the end of July and updated the major mods as they put out patches or hotfixes. ------ Ok, I just waited about 1 week by taking a really long trip by sea to one of my mods. I did try without Midas Magic, but it is the same thing. I know I killed all the necros because they are now on display in my armor room. Still not able to advance, so I'm just going to finish the other parts of the game and some mods for now. I'll go back and see if anything changes after I become Champion and start my Verona House questline. I really don't care about the Mage's stuff now except that I need it completed so I can do Mannimarco but have not put in Mannimarco yet, so that is not a problem with that mod. ---- I have a total copy of my vanilla install without any mods except for the body, armor and clothes replacers, and it still will not let me advance. I have heard of this a few times somehow being a UOP32 and Qarls problem but it baffles me as to how it could be that way. I will read all the helpful advice and try a few more tricks. Seems like a very rare bug, as none of my freinds have ever heard of a console command set up to advance just your rank in the Mages Guild. I went back and did the quest, got a different staff, and still the problem is there. I'll just hold up and wait a while now. I even tried getting to the last part before having Delmar make it--and then advancing the quest with the console-- no luck. I even pulled the old hand it in and then steal it out of the cabinet, got the quest advance, but then RP is still stuck. I have at least 100 hours of other questlines and mod stuff, but was really wanting to do the evil mage thing and betray the MG and become the most hated necro in the land. Oh well, I'll just have to see if waiting it out works. Funniest thing about this is that on my completed quests, it has the quest finished. I got the completed message 4-5 times now and then it locks up. Actually he was telling me about discussing my advancement before I even got admitted to the university after I reloaded from the sewers. I'll wait a while and play some of the mods I've never had time to to enjoy because of the vanilla completion blur. I can't believe I am wasting so much time on a vanilla part of the game, but I really want to play two mods that require you to be the freaking Arch Mage. Traven Must Die!
  12. My friend has the same problem I understand. I think there is a way to fix it, but I don't use OOO after it rogered my last long running character. Sorry about the problems, hope you are back hacking and smashing soon.
  13. Just got all my recoomendations and got the staff finished. Right after you get the staff you report to RP for an assignment. He has to promote you to journeyman, but I never get past that point. He tells me he has a new task for me which should be Ulterior Motives. This is the quest and this is as far as I can get. I am stuck at apprentice and cannot get any new tasks or get my advancement to move forward. Quick Walkthrough 1.Speak with Raminus Polus about the Arcane University, once accepted your task is to have a personal Staff made. 2.Travel to Wellspring Cave only to discover there is a problem with the Mages who guard this sacred place. 3.Make your way through the Cave, taking care of (or avoiding) any enemies you encounter. 4.On the other side of Wellspring Cave you will be accosted by some necromancers who also need to be killed. 5.Take the wood from the Chest and return to Raminus, who instructs you to go see Delmar in the Chironasium. 6.Delmar asks you to choose the type of enchantment you would like and requests a full day's time to finish the work. 7.Return after a day has passed and Delmar will tell you to retrieve your custom Staff from the cupboard in the back. 8.After you have your Staff go see Raminus to be promoted to Journeyman. At #8 it just locks up and I can't go past that. I just stand there asking for a task, and he says "Before we move on we must discuss your advancement." then nothing but that when asked about "tasks". If I use the console to initiate the next quest, I am stuck at apprentice, and it rogers the damn Mage's Guild quests like a poodle in a mastiff run. I then have to get each quest to start with the console, then I finish and am not advanced and no new quest will start, and no matter how far I go and complete using console codes, I am stuck as a forever apprentice and never get access to the council chambers or become Arch Mage. --------- I will say that in all my years playing and modding ES4, I have never had this problem and not really heard of anyone else having it. I am completely baffled because this is the same modlist and almost the same load order. I ran CS looking for the conflict or even any lines of code that could be doing this, and I find nothing. Found all sorts of little bugs and glitches with a lot of my mods, but I Bash them into shape and those have nothing at all to do with anything in the Mage's Guild. I am at a loss for words here. Someone has to know what is wrong. I am really thinking it has to be something related to Midas Magic, but not sure if anyone has any bug reports like this. I am pretty sure this has never really come up before because there is no topic at Bethsoft I can find, and no one I know at Zen has ever even seen it before. I thought I could just console RP to advance me, but this is not a bug anyone has seen, so no one has made a console code to resolve it.
  14. Any modder worth the name modder will install a handy little file called a readme. I'm not trying to be a smart ass, but that is about 20 times today I;ve said it. Always check and read the file with mod. It will usually tell you how to install and uninstall the mod correctly. I don't know the mod, but you install all mods the same way, either by an OMOD file or by unzipping the files and putting them in the Oblivion data folder. Just go back and read the file, or if not included (shame on the mod creator) find the place where you got the d/l and read the install directions.
  15. Sorry, I get all tech speak sometimes and just forget. UOP is the Unofficial Oblivion Patch, and you have it already. There is a patch for SI and you need that one if you do not have it. You should make sure any UOP32 (the latest version) patch and the other parts of the Unofficial Patches always load at the top of your load order and any load list you have. There is a supplemental patch for UOP32 that you can find on TES Nexxus, I just can't find the link now. After all that is said and done, I think you are missing the meshes for some of the races like Argonians and others. You might have to reinstall all the vanilla Oblivion meshes again. If you are using a body replacer such as HGEC or Roberts, then you need to reinstall all the meshes for the body replacer that you are using. Best thing to do is check all your mods and see if they replace any of the body meshes and textures, or in another case, need the meshes and you do not have them for the mod. It's either you have a mod that needs a specific body mesh and replacer file, or else a mod wrote over the other meshes and now they are showing the dreaded yellow WTF?!?!? If it is an npc thing then it could also be the clothes and armor. I just looked and you are using HGEC and the Eye Candy. 99% chance it is something to do with those mods and OOO. Check the Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul page, I think there are specific patches for use with individual body replacers, and you have to use the right .esp file for the mod you have. You have to make sure OOO is installed properly and that you have all the right parts in the right places. There is a very detailed FAQ and install sheet on TES Nexxus and on these forums you can find a huge list of OOO related issues and solutions. You might also have to get Wrye BASH so you can make a patch for you game that will let you edit body and armor settings. I don't use OOO anymore, but I have seen exactly that same thing when I helped other people set up games and mods. Looks like it is a mesh and texture issue, but that is getting past my knowledge and I don't want to make a problem worse. Since you are running a pretty small list of mods, it is also not too hard to reinstall if it really doesn't get worked out. I have almost 225 mods, and I just had one out of that kill a 400 hour modded game. Try reinstalling all of that, uh, face palm!
