1. Hey there just wanted to say, I've cracked how to make our own camera x,y,z. Look out on the nexus for my ini tweaks and it shall be there :) Turns out it was just a ini variable that needed turned off...need more testing to see what happens when its off, but I've got mine centered.
2. The quest will be running but the actual script itself won't execute anything at all. Your using a custom function which needs to be called for the registerforupdate to then fire the onupdate event, seeing as the function isn't being called anywhere, no onupdate will fire. However, if you use Event OnInit(), that'll run the first time the quest is ran, so put your registerforupdate there or call your function. It should now work, alternatively if your wanting to use SKSE they do have registerforkeypress, for such situations that a key is pressed that allows you to not use an onupdate and will fire the event straight away instead of having to check every 0.25 seconds. Also, look into registerforsingleupdate if your wanting to use an onupdate more than once every second, will save up on queue time and event build up.
3. After tinkering for the past while....killing most of the background processes, using gamebooster, forcing a dynamic fps control of 30 and redoing my skyrim.ini seems to of fixed the issues......wish I had done that sooner.....
4. I'm having abit of trouble with my frames per second, where I remember I never had any trouble before but recently I've been having my fps drop to half its normal amount (35-40fps outside, 40-60 inside) for x amount of seconds the go back up to its original, this can happen standing still, in combat, wandering around, i've tried it with and without all my mods on and no cookie there. I also checked my Vram and I'm not exceeding it at all, defrags and re-installing I have also tried. My specs are: I3-370M @ 2.4GHz ATI Radeon Mobility 5650 HD 1GB (650mhz engine, 900mhz memory) 4GB DDR3 Ram Mod list:
5. Eh wow......been having trouble myself with stuttering, CTD and lower fps since I updated to the new patch.....tried out the 4gb large awareness patch, a just WoW. Increased my fps by ~8fps maybe abit more, no stuttering and no CTD experienced as of yet. Whereas I use to crash between every 15mins - 3 hours depending on how skyrim felt if I didn't give it a sweetroll. So cheers :)
6. I'm actually quite surprised that you aren't able to run it well and that you get low FPS, I've got a laptop slightly less powerful than yours: I3 M370 2.4Ghz 4 GB DDR3 Ram 1GB AMD Radeon HD 5650M Windows 7 64-bit And i'm able to play at constant 30-35fps outside even in combat (37-40fps overclocked GPU), and near enough 45-60fps inside houses/dungeons depending on how much is going on, also running 60+ mods. I just use mods like as the poster above said Skyrim Performance Plus helps quite abit, you won't be able to use Skyboost unless you have 1.4.21.0 or lower, until he brings out a new version of it to support Skyrims latest patches. The TESV Reduced Texture Pack helps in the way over reducing the amount of VRAM that is used and doesn't impact texture quality at all, just rather optimizes it better, whilst keeping the same quality. And the Simple Borderless Windows can help out aswell, maybe try tweaking your ini's abit? Just remember to make a copy of it before hand for a backup. Check your Anti-alisaing that maybe too high? I normally just disable it all together and just use the FXAA and seems to do the same job but more FPS gain from it. Or try just enabling the AA from the Catalyst center instead. All I can really recommend is all else fails, set all the settings to low then gradually build it up from there until you have something you are playable with. There are plenty of mods out there that make the game look stunning with lil to no FPS drop, and I use quite a few myself that cause no drop and i'm quite happy with my game. Hope this helps
7. To embed your video use and it'll work :) brilliant video tho xD
8. You won't need to worry about if it asks to overwrite files, they won't be lost, it just overwrites it for now. You just simply uninstall the mod that overwrite the files orginally (by double-clicking it or pressing the button on the side whilst its highlighted) and it'll forgot that mod was installed and just use the other files :) its quite brilliant I think :D
9. Bah, sadly even after updating I wasn't able to get it to show the animations through the creation kit, whether thats just me, I'm not sure.
10. No, you don't need to use the launch skyrim button from there, you can just run it normally and it will detect the mods youve currently activated in NMM. And NMM can be closed whilst playing the game, it's mainly just an mod manager/installer to make things more automated and easier for things to be removed or added etc.
11. Thank you for the video. The only reason I asked, was I thought we would be able to see some of those animations working, so we could see them in action. Oh well, I'll just have to wait for it. If i updated to the latest patch where the animations are present, then yes I would be able to show the animations being played. I'm tempted to update to show them, if you'd like I could show these animations being played?
12. Thats a video been posted on the first post showing how to view the files and also my skyrims current patch.
13. Right, I've got the patch that I have and seems I've frozen mine at 1.4.21 aswell which was released on 30th January 2012. And the files are there aswell, If you give me abit I can make a video and upload it to youtube for people to watch, I'll show me loading up the game show the version mine is at and then i'll open the skyrim.esm and show the files there. Would that be sufficient enough? Or would other like to see other examples?
14. Hi everyone, I know what everyones thinking "another thread about this, booo!" but I just want to clear some things up that I'm quite surprised that no one picked up on these earlier than this, and i'm quite surprised no one even mentioned it. Now I don't want anyone to judge my mate.....as i've had a go at him myself, but he did bring up a good point and I even remember seeing this. These files have been in the game since before this "latest patch" even when 1.4 was around. My friend still had the 1.4 patch of skyrim, also the creation kit, whereas I have the latest patch etc...but seeing as I tried my hand at modding a good few months back I stumbled upon these files myself....by just simply loading up the skyrim.esm (even on my mates 1.4 patched without the update.esm) we were able to go and look at the animations, actor->random actor object->right-click->preview, and in there are the animations, now if you look you'll see all the chair_SnowElfPrinceDialogueA.hkx. I can provide screenshots if need be of this for evidence? Just I'm not sure how to prove the version to you unless I made be even do a video of going into the game then loading up the creation kit. Even the crossbow animations are there and an SneakCrossBow_Aim.hkx, SneakCrossBow_IdleDrawn.hkx, and SneakCrossBow_Release.hkx which were even missed out from the post about the animations. And now i've just looked even that RF persons animations are there and also the paired feeding vampire animations. So....yeah.....just thought I would point this out to the community and I would like to hear your thoughts? Edit: Seems what I can gather from all this is, that Bethesda originally already had these files done but didn't include them into the game upon release, seeing as they aren't allowed to give the modding community tools for editing animations etc....they didn't include the files but the creation kit already had the files registered in it or atleast the skyrim.esm did, leading me to think the files were already made. So seems this has been in the making since before 1.4.21, but i'm able to check any earlier patches. Seems the new 1.5.26 patch includes these files now, and allows the engine to use the animations for them instead of just having it as a reference in the creation kit. Edit: Video showing the references in the creation kit.
15. Hmmm, you have a good point about borrowing a mouse, never actually thought about that  And i'll look into getting a cheap mouse, seems theres quite a few on amazon/play.com :) Been looking into FOSE scripting or making a mouse emulator myself for directx games if all else fails :pinch: Thanks for the input :)
