  1. Exactly ! Would also be great to have an option (unless there already is and I didn't stumble in it yet) to keep the mod named by filename instead of loading whatever name it has in a fomod xml, that drives me nuts. An automated function for the categorization would be golden, since is pretty common for a mod download directory to have some 200~300 files. That's too many clicks to set categories mod by mod. Mockup: 1. Select mods, press Refresh Categories 2. Select between Nexus Metadata and Filename Tags 3. Search filenames for tags from existing categories (probably matching whole word and case would be ideal) 4. Move said mods to matching categories Bulk-rename files to prefix/insert a category in upper case, press refresh and be happy  edit: To be honest to me the not-loading-fomod-name is even more necessary than the categories, now that I think about it.
  2. Title says pretty much it all, but I'll try to elaborate a bit more. Many players rename mod packages with prefixes in order to keep the download folder neatly organized by category and install order, as such: 00. 00 [sKSE] modnamehere.zip 00. 01 [uI] modnamehere.zip 00. 02 [TOOLS] modnamehere.zip 00. 04 [FIXES] modnamehere.zip 01. 00 [TEXTURES] modnamehere.zip 01. 01 [LANDSCAPES] modnamehere.zip 01. 02 [CITIES] modnamehere.zip Programs like the digital audio workstation Reaper can automate actions by checking file names for predefined tags (in our case a [CATEGORY]) to simplify the process inheriting data from file name, such as categories and other details, which makes life *so* much easier after handling large amounts of files with bulk renaming tools. I believe a function like this would greatly improve the experience of using Vortex!
  3. Hum, sounds like a lot indeed, hope the devs will pay more atention to this on the future... Thanx for tha reply anyway !
  4. Hello everyone ! I've been playing for a while and with my present configuration of mods makes it quite hazardous to go out guns blazing, shooting in the open like only Rambo and Mr. Norris *chills from using His name* do in the little screen and have learned the hard way not to do that in any circunstance AT ALL... On top of that I'm fond of the "find a good spot and take a good shot" style of combat, witch not only helps me sorry ass not getting shot most of the time, but saves me a lot of procious rifle cartridges ! $-D So, cutting to the chase... MANY times I had that nice clean shot, from afar or close and personal, BUT ! The damn projectile hit the invisible edges of a damn tyre wall or palisade instead of the shiny, glistening head it was supposed to !! And this p*ss me the friggin offf !!! Not to mention ruining the atmosphere of creeping behind 6 heavily armed mean super mutants... So what i'm searching for is a way to reduce this kind of environmental accident... I imagine this would involve quite some work with the models, but would be insanely happy if someone helped to think this one out... Maybe setting them (or a part of them - if possible, I"m not aquainted with modeling at all) as "Small Transparent" or reducing these invisible edges (again, I dont know where, how, if it would be worth the trouble or even possible) as much as possible... I find it incredibly frustrating and think that its quite outraging when it happens... hahahahaha Anyway... if someone could inform me a little more on this matter I'd be imensely grateful ! And sorry for being so "eloquent" hahahahaha Cheers !
