  1. Steam should have reacquired the file at that time and repaired your game.
  2. When you do solve your own problem, it can be helpful to others to post *how* you fixed it
  3. If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say you're probably missing a master for something. Run FO3Edit and try to load all of your plugins and it should error, telling you what has a missing master (and, I think, what that master is). I personally use Wrye Flash to check it because the mod will have a nice red square next to it and one of the right panes will list the maters of the mod. Even a quick check with LOOT will tell you about missing masters.
  4. Well, you'd have to make the textures from scratch. Actually ripping the textures from Halo would be stealing
  5. I would suggest verifying the installation. In GOG, it's under More->Manage Installation->Verify/Repair In Steam, right click the game, then it's under Properties->Local Files->Verify Integrity of Game Files
  6. Do you have FOSE installed and are you launching the game with fose_loader.exe?
  7. First test with an empty profile (i.e. try to launch NVSE through MO with no mods active). If it works, then one of your mods is the culprit. I'm also probably going to refer you to STEP and their MO2 support forum, because, as I said, MO2 is in beta, and breaks frequently. http://forum.step-project.com/forum/102-mod-organizer-2-support/
  8. MO2 is not ready for prime time. When I tried using it, it would randomly reverse my load order. MO (of any variety) makes an NVSE launch item when it detects NVSE. That entry is not called "NVSE 2". Could you show me the app entry in the panel for that?
  9. Sure :) 1) You're using one of the few mods that requires it 2) You're developing a mod that requires it 3) You're developing an NVSE plugin
  10. I would start with the documentation at http://www.gribbleshnibit.com/projects/NVSEDocs/#
  11. I can think of several. However, the fact remains that either a) NVSE is incorrectly installed, b) the game isn't being launched correctly, c) a mod is checking the NVSE version wrong, or d) NVSE is not reporting correctly, Since I am currently using 5.1b2 and it is reporting itself to be 5.1b2, I can only assume that d) is incorrect and it's not a bug in NVSE. That leaves us with a), b) or c). Are you using the nvse_loader.exe in your New Vegas folder? (that should eliminate a) and b)) If the problem is c), you're going to have fun trying to figure out which mod it is.
  12. You should get some ideas from reading the tutorial.txt file include in the mod at http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/45216/?
  13. I'm thinking about doing a child replacer because somebody on another forum was complaining about the children looking like "rocks". I know such a thing already exists in http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/44458/?, but that does a lot more than what I/we are looking for. I read their Distribution/modification info. It reads: By my reading of this, I think I can reuse their textures/meshes as long as I give them credit and do not modify the CUTE body mesh. Am I correct or do you read it differently? Using their project as a prerequisite doesn't seem viable as their download is about 400MB and I need less than 1/8 of that and I don't want the functionality they add.
  14. I've noticed the same, I even uninstalled and reinstalled the game trying to make it work. Maybe an issue with the new game patch?
