  1. Hello, does anybody know what could be causing this specific problem? I was happily using the CK when this bug popped legitimately out of nowhere. No matter what color I try to apply to an actor's skintone, it doesn't get applied to their face (works fine with their body though). FaceGen-ing (Ctrl+F4) just exports a bugged, untinted (and apparently sometimes unmoving)(nevermind that) version of the NPC's face. It's also seems to be afflicting every single NPC. From vanilla, to custom ones, and even ones built with custom races and custom head models. I'm also getting a "skintone.dds isn't 256x256" warning message, which is weird since as far as I know the actual file is 4x4 pixels big. Plus, I don't have anything replacing it (just checked to make sure), so it's already using the vanilla one. I've legitimately never encountered this problem before and I don't know what to do. EDIT: I forgot to mention one interesting thing. When I double-click on an NPC in the Render Window, their head disappears.
  2. You guys are seriously amazing. Also, didn't know you had a Discord server. Imma jump on that ASAP.
  3. My actual character: Name: Sergio Magnus Race: Imperial (male) Major Skills: Blade, Light Armor, Athletics, Acrobatics, Sneak, Destruction, Speechcraft. Current Level: 19 He fights with a freakin' cool chainsaw sword I got from a mod and wearing a longcoat ( that graphically fits with the rest of the things in Oblivion ), facing the enemies directly or by jumping, moving and dashing around them, hitting and dodging rapidly. ( I put the game difficulty bar normally between medium and high to make the game challenging ). He doesn't have even an Infamy point, and everyone likes him, but he's actually an average-to-good assassin thanks to his Sneak skill. When his Blade skill is useless against enemies that are too far from him, he starts throwing fire balls, lighting, ice and other spells against them ( or just running into their general direction rapidly and slashing the s**t out of them ). He is also good at talking with NPCs. Thanks to his Athletics and Acrobatics skills, he can basically pull out a Parkour-Ninja Mode whenever and wherever he wants. A bit off-topic: And this is his partner. Custom made by me. Her name's Alyssa, she's a character of mine. Say hello.
  4. All the things ( screenshots and videos ) we have seen about Skyrim are from the XBOX 360 version, if my sources are not saying BS. Do not worry anyway, the PC version will be surely better for the simple fact that it's on the PC. No, I'm not saying that consoles suck. I'm just stating the fact that the PC will be able to render the game graphics better, with more smooth and realistic shadows, than those two consoles with 5 years old hardware ( also, think about graphic/textures replacement mods ).
  5. You mean the Great Gate? I actually liked that battle. It was the first time I actually felt like I was doing something important in the game, especially when I entered the Great Gate. I never enjoyed closing Oblivion Gates, but the Great Gate felt... well... great. The time limit... the Siege Crawler. I even left my custom CM companion ( she's based on the skunk girl in my avatar ) outside it to face that s*it alone, all by myself ( and to not break immersion, like "You stay outside to protect Martin" ). But I DO agree with you. I always considered the idea of opening the Construction Set and adding more soldiers and Daedra. I was expecting something more epic... especially after wandering for Cyrodiil to get the allies.
  6. Go on your Documents and search for "My Games" folder. There, you will find the Oblivion's one ( it's named Oblivion... well... obviously... ), and when you will double click on it, you will find the "Saves" folder. Just move the save file you don't want to overwrite somewhere ( maybe in the "Oblivion" folder in "My Games" ). If the folders's names are not correct, I'm sorry, but my PC is Italian. :3 Anyway, I'm the first one scared of accidentally overwriting saves in Oblivion. Guess what? It never happened. All you have to do is to be carefull and look at what you're about to click. ( good thing that, in Morrowind, you're able to give names to the save files in-game )
  7. As I said on YouTube, Skyrim is also a PS3 and 360 game ( we all know this ). I don't know what the hardware of those two console is, but if it runs on 5 years old hardware, I'm sure that a today-average Computer will be omg-damn fine. Hell, my older computer can run Oblivion with Oldblivion ( just for the crappy GeForce FX 5200 128 MB videocard ) at 800x600 with High resolution textures, distant land, trees and buildings pretty fine ( but no grass though ) and it has a 2.00 Ghz Celeron, aka the crappiest processor ever made ( it was bad even back in 2003 ) and 768 MB for the RAM. Edit: with "omg-damn fine" I meant medium-to-almost-high settings without tons of graphical effects. I'm sure that high-end computer hardware will be required when pushed at high-to-max settings.
  8. Hello people, I'm Sergiroth. I joined ages ago ( actually, one year ), but I never wrote anything in the forums. I'm Italian, Sardinian to be exact. I have a bit of experience with the Construction Set of both Morrowind and Oblivion, and... uhm... I make music... and... do stuff on... RPG Maker... modding... urr... ah... Damn, I can't even make my first thread properly.
