@DarkRudra Thank you for the help! You sent me to a good direction by pointing out I was looking at the wrong FormID. For anyone who might look at this in the future, I'll explain what worked for me. That 2nd formID that Rudra provided was what I needed. It would probably be safe to investigate both IDs just in case, but the 2nd one was my culprit. The only thing modifying this mesh (no LODs, thank god) was Enhanced Lights and FX installed through NMM. As popular as the mod is, clearly there was something special about my Skyrim install that made this happen. Maybe a bad download, bad install, who knows. There are three important things I did in this process: 1) What fixed my problem in the END was completely uninstalling ELFX then reinstalling it (dont forget to run LOOT or whatever you use again). 2) I rebuilded my Bashed Patch. Try it, it could work! 3) I noticed red highlighted items listed nearby my "culprit" mesh. In my case, "Regional Snow and Ice" was causing the red conflict warning relevant to the Blackreach area. I've uninstalled it for the moment but will reinstall it soon, considering this did not fix my error. However, any red highlighted FormIDs relevant to the room/cell you're trying to load in-game is worth investigating. If anyone else is experiencing a similar issue (in Blackreach or otherwise), chances are your issue will not be coming from ELFX or my snow & ice mod. Whatever mods, active or inactive, TES5Edit claims is altering the mesh in question, you should completely uninstall any and all mods it references. Load into your game, and see if the issue is fixed. Reinstall those mods one-by-one, and ideally your game will work again with all your mods in-tact. If the issue comes back, then you know the specific mod causing the issue, and you can decide what to do with it then. If I have anymore troubles in the recent future pertaining to this issue, I will update the thread. Otherwise, everything is fine and dandy! Have a good day everyone :)

I have had a relatively stable Skyrim install but came across this huge issue. I'm trying to enter Blackreach from the usual dwemer ruin Alftand. I open the secret/locked passage, open the door, then the loading screen to Blackreach begins. However, it doesn't take long before my game crashes with this error message Among my research, It is a corrupted mesh or texture, almost certainly caused by a mod conflict. I am not an especially smart modder but I have looked inside TES5Edit with ALL my mods and it loads without issues. I look up the FormID and there appears to be nothing wrong with it. The ID is not highlighted anyways, and if it is not flashing yellow or red then I don't know any better. I have verified game cache through Steam but of course that didn't resolve the issue. Using a fresh Skyrim.ini or SkyrimPrefs.ini file does not fix the issue either. Uninstalling everything then reinstalling everything again as some have suggested in other threads on the web is way too drastic and time consuming for me to consider at this time. At the least, could anyone help me pin down suspicious mods that might be causing this conflict? Even if I narrow this down to 20-30 mods, that helps drastically. As you can tell, I don't have anything that specifically modifies Blackreach. I have explored many places in the savegame with these mods including expansive dwemer ruins and other places around Skyrim (no Dawnguard, Dragonborn, or new modded lands yet) Conversely, if anyone has any other suggestions that lead me in a direction other than going on a witch hunt for conflicting mods, I would be glad to hear what you have to say as well. Good day everyone. So I have been messing about with Oblivion Reloaded's settings, mostly dealing with the effects one gets when swimming underwater (and for a short while after coming back out of the water if WaterLens is enabled). Although the effect is reasonable and realistic, going underwater is way too blurry and dark for my personal preferences. I've been "zero-ing" out various settings in the water.ini to see exactly what each one does (while referencing the manual!!), though none of them seems to modify that troublesome blur effect for when I want to go for a relaxing deep water dive in the Nibenay Basin! I will continue messing with settings and update the topic should I find a solution. In the meantime, I would appreciate any insight from those who know more than I do.

In response to post #24642989. #24643104, #24644544, #24644724, #24644809, #24645139, #24645529 are all replies on the same post. @benissugger You're right, he's not taking 5% of the modder's 25%, he's taking 5% of what should be at least 50% (when comparing modding services to Twitch livestreaming services), preferably 75%. Valve and Bethesda are not tight on finances. The Nexus sites less so, but not nearly to the extent of many mod authors out there. Like Boerner mentioned, the Nexus is officially supporting this system that the community does not support when taking ANY amount of revenue share offered by Valve from this system. Dark0ne COULD HAVE either remained neutral in this controversy, or even (civily) oppose this system with the power he holds as the 'CEO' of this site, and the community that houses it. Instead, he got hoodwinked into Valve's sweet talking. I understand he has good intentions, and sincerely trust that he makes these decisions in the interest of the mod authors and the community. Unfortunately, Valve made him forget that this is not what the community wants, but due to his own vulnerability to manipulation, and pride to reject that fact. So @Dark0ne (should he happen to come across this), please don't forget the community that has allowed you to make a living. Don't appeal to a broken, exploitable system. Oppose it, fix it, then make profit, or pretend it doesn't exist. But if you genuinely think the current system is SATISFACTORY, not just GOOD ENOUGH, then so be it. We are entitled to our own opinion too, and voice our opinion in a civil manner.

I am pretty well rounded in Oblivion modding and okay with ENBs (or so I thought) so I should be able to understand what you mean even if you explain it in a more "advanced" way. Anyways, I am installing my first enb for Skyrim; <a href="http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/54362/?>Somber 3 ENB</a>. What happens is that I can load my game just fine. But when I load a savegame (or a new game), I get a CTD seconds after the loading screen pops up. I installed the latest version (v0.254). Then I installed Revamped Fog and Somber ENB and then the particle patch. Finally, I changed the ini settings as specified; nothing more or less. The only thing I have done to enblocal.ini is change memory to 512 (my graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti). I simply changed it because a forum I visited while trying to find the solution myself implied that I should change it to that. Other than that, I am positive ENB is the issue, no other mod installed is. However, it may be conflicting with a mod I have installed. The few mods I currently have are as follow: Blacksmith Water Fix Enhanced Distant Terrain HQ3DMap Real Clouds Revamped Exterior Fog Ashen Race SKYUI (which means I have SKSE) I had WATER installed via NMM, but uninstalled it also by NMM thinking it may have been conflicting with the ENB. Any help, whether it works or not is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time! P.S. If you're feeling really nice or simply want to answer this alone, could you let me know of any "Skyrim Modding Essentials?" Yaaay I did it XD I just made a new esp and did it over and now my game works.

Okay, so while I was working on creating a cm partner based off one of my save games, Oblivion basically stopped working. While implementing my character in the CS, I messed up a couple times, but nothing that should've caused this. I was able to fully implement my character and see her in game. I just had minor issues, but i promise they're nothing relative to this. When I finally knew what was doing, I erased the esp with all my "mess-ups" and created a new one. If I remember correctly I also created a new one because I was already experiencing this issue, but I'm not sure >.< Anyways, I'm fairly certain I did everything correctly while making the final version of my cm partner but I still had this issue. Describing the problem in further detail, I start up my game like normal. I can skip the intro cinematics and pop up the loading screen (the one before I see the main menu). However, the loading never finishes. It tops near the beginning. Strangely though, Windows does not say Oblivion is being unresponsive. Also, if I choose not to kip the intro, every part of the intro will play. It's only when those finish does my game start to "freeze." Any help is much appreciated and have a good day :D I will be searching for a solution more while waiting for an answer. If and when I find the solution, I shall mention it here. Also, I run on Windows 7. If you need any more information, I can provide it. Update: The problem is undoubtedly rooted in the esp file that holds my cm partner, which I should've checked prior to posting here. The solution has not been found yet, however, I am going to make another new esp file for my cm partner. If that works then I will notify in a seperate post on this topic.

I've been searching the internet most of this day setting up Blender and allowing it to import nif files. After that, I was looking for tutorials to get used to the interface and controls, but I can't seem to find any with version 2.4 (you know, the one before Blender's interface imitated 3DS Max's) So does anyone know or can provide me with a tutorial going over the basics of Blender? Being more specific, I am trying to convert a certain armor into ZKEC, but what I'm converting it to isn't the important part :P If you're interested in this specifically, I am not quite sure how to convert armors, though I realize there is no real tutorials out there for that. I was able to import the armor's data, but I wasn't able to import ZKEC's body with it. Since this is obviously my first time using Blender, I am basically clueless as to what I should do from here, or if I'm even approaching this accurately. For the longest time, my pose mods have not been working properly. Since I try to be fairly active on oblivion-nexus' images, i don't want my poses messing up >.< ANYWAYS to the problem at hand, When I try to do poses for my PC, she just stays with her idle anim instead of switching to the selected pose. However, if I use a pose spell on an NPC, they do the pose. I have tried several things previously suggested by others and other forums/topics, such as messing with my load order. I cant say I've gotten it right though. More specifically, I've tried deactivating my idle anim mod, placing above and below my pose mods, and none worked. I have tried re-installing the poses which didn't work. I even tried BOSS which didn't work :/ I will post my Load Order here, which is probably the best thing I can do to help you find the solution. I will also attach a notepad file of my load order if that makes it any easier for you. Hey everyone, I recently got Skyrim for my PC, and I was simply wondering what mods you would recommend to someone or myself! So you can tell me stuff like your favorite race, favorite (female) armor/clothing mod(s), quest mods, and other cool stuff. I would also like to know stuff such as the equivalent of Oblivion's OBSE plugin, if you're familiar with that (basically a script-extender) I have a heavily modded Oblivion copy, so no need to spare me any "lectures for dummies" XD Thanks, and have a great day! :D

I've had this issue for a while; my character cannot do any poses with any pose mods I have. They used to work perfectly fine. Note however, poses work for any NPC perfectly fine when I use the spell on them. I have not bothered trying to make them have reflect spell to try to reflect the effect on me. Still, I'm not looking for a temporary solution, I would like it back to "normal." I have tried deactivating the mods, going in game, saving, then reactivating the mods, but nothing changed. Any help is greatly appreciated :smile: Oh, and any information you need to know, I can provide for you!

YAAAAYY! I found the problem myself XD Should anyone stumble upon this topic in the same or similar situation I am in, Here is the solution. Okay, so first you need to find your Oblivion.ini file which is probably located in "C:\My Documents\My Games\Oblivion" If it is not, you probably know where it is. If not, it's time for a scavenger hunt! Once you have found your ini file, open it (what a surprise!). If you don't know this nifty shortcut, press F3, and a search dialogue should appear. in it, type "iLocation" which should bring you to iLocation X and iLocation Y. They probably say -32000 or something crazy like that. Well, change those numbers to 0!! Save the file, re-open Oblivion, and BAM, it should be back to normal. Now you don't need to create a new ini file and reset all your settings (especially if you're in my case where you can't simply reset your settings the usual way). If anyone has any questions related to this topic or my comment, please feel free to post it here. I will be keeping an eye on this topic for a while. IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: This solution worked for my case, I am not sure how many other causes there may be for this problem, or what risks this solution may hold for other people. Remember, when trying to fix problems, BE CAREFUL and always create backup files wherever and whenever necessary!

So, as I said, when I launch Oblivion, it is invisible! I simply see my desktop instead of the game's intro. However, I can still hear the intro's audio clearly. I have been playing Oblivion on my PC for a year or so, so I know I have no hardware incompatibilities. I have done some quick researching, and the problem lies in my Oblivion.ini file. If I delete my current one, then launch Oblivion to create a new one, it works perfectly fine, but of course without my previous video settings. I would just change my video settings back, but having a heavily modded Oblivion while not knowing much about load order in the beginning, My game is infamous for crashing when I try to close, therefor not saving the settings in the ini. I would change the settings directly in the file, and while I understand some of the ini file, I don't recognize much of it v.v ANYWAYS, would any of you happen to know a different solution, or exactly where the problem lies in the ini? If this is necessary info, I run obse and gamecompanion's FF mode. Thanks for any help! :biggrin: I will be continuing to search for solutions while waiting for a reply. Ok, so I recently installed ENBSeries: http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/26291/?tab=3&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fmodimages%2F%3Fuser%3D0%26id%3D26291 (Amazing btw) and while I can run it perfectly fine, I have issues with taking screenshots When I take a screenshot, the image is simply a white screen when I look back at it. I have messed with a few settings on this mod, but nothing too in-depth. I use Fraps (unfortunately :P) to take my screenshots. I have it set to JPEG file format. I use GameCompanion's Fake FF mode, if that affects anything. I also use Windows XP. Feel free to ask any more information you might need :) P.S. If I "disable" ENBSeries (using Shift + F12) and take a screenshot, then it goes back to normal, so this problem is obviously rooted with this mod. Thanks for any help you give me! :D

Wait, Dibella's Watch's resources is the problem? or the armor, being interpreted as a resource? While both seem like the most logical problem, I don't understand how that would only affect one character, instead of every character. Either way, I know you know what you're talking about, so it doesn't change the fact T___T Well, hey, thanks for the help! I would've been at this for days trying to find an impossible solution XD
