  1. EDIT: Nevermind - I opened up the MBIN's and it's pretty straightforward. No idea how to remove my topic/post. The reasoning: I love "exploring" - that is, discovering, tagging, and naming species and planets. However, I hate spending untold hours looking for that "last species" (or in the case of a 16-fauna planet, a full day finding the last 2 or 3). So I'm hoping someone can (a) increase animal density (how many you can see around you in a clearing), and (b) increase fauna variation in a given area (how many different kinds you can see in a given clearing / lake patch). I also love the fauna in the game, so increased density and variation would be awesome just for the visual effect.
  2. Wow, nice find. I have no idea how I missed it. I swear I looked up "skeleton sound," "skeleton noise," etc., and then even just went through everything with "skeleton" in it, and still missed it :P I'm not new to modding - I knew it would be easy for someone familiar with the skyrim BSA's; I just figured that if someone already knew where they were, it would be a quick fix. :) I'm going to try that esp right now and see if it does the trick. The problem was that with just a few (3+) skeletons following me as summons, that sound was drowning out the whole rest of the game. I found myself turning and blasting them just out of annoyance :P
  3. Very simply, I just need to know what the names of the sounds are for the creaky noises skeletons make. If someone wants to upload the appropriate silent wavs, that would be even cooler. I play with SkyRe and my necromancer's many minions give me a headache after about 10 minutes of play...
  4. So unfortunate when a topic like this is left unanswered... Back to Google. (FYI - my whole monitor dims when I play/load Skyrim, including Skyrim - if I load it in Windowed Mode, e.g., the toolbar of icons at the bottom of W7 dim hugely. It's ugly even inside Skyrim. And, no, no injectors here, either...)
  5. EDIT: nvm, posted at the beth forums, sorry :)
  6. Bah - so somehow, magically, after I said it wasn't working, it just started working. I swear that before, clicking that icon did nothing and brought up nothing. However, now I have the very confusing task ahead of me of trying to get the toolset to look at the *DA2* core files. I tried copying it over to the directory, but I just don't know how to "point" the toolset. Since I'm sure it's possible to make campaigns with a totally new core, it has to be able to point elsewhere. Anyone know how I point the toolset to another campaign? It doesn't seem to change when I open up a different campaign from file -> open...
  7. Okay, that seems to explain my confusion: When I click on the script icon, nothing comes up. What do I have to open first? Say I want to open spell_singletarget.nss? Where *is* that file in the first place? I'm not talking about getting it from a mod, but finding it in the original campaign files. Is it in an erf that I have to open first? Is it in the singleplayer campaign file? From the point of double-clicking the toolset, what do I do? Also, thank you, encinodude :) I hope to make some DA mods, but I disapprove so far of the way they make their "pointers" (eg, why can't I tell the 2da file for a new spell to "point" to the already-existing script entry for heal and then alter the values in the 2da/gda? It seems silly that I have to edit things in the *most* possible places instead of the fewest... :P)
  8. It seems like such an obvious question, but say I want to edit spell_singletarget.ncs/nss? From the toolset, how do I navigate to that script? I can't seem to find the "script editor" ANYwhere, and I'm frustrated to hair-pulling, here! I don't know if I installed my toolset incorrectly or what, but I can't seem to find anything at all. It all looks blank. How do I open up the main campaign? How do I get a list of scripts or resources? I've gone to the wiki, but I'm at a loss for the first step...
  9. Any chance that I could find out who that middleman agency is? I've been attempting to advertise on newvegasnexus through Google AdWords a million different ways, and at most I get a few (like 5-ish) impressions a DAY -- at an outrageously high bid. At least I could (a) bump up the bids, and (b) give some variety over the same two (TDU and WoW) ads I see 99% of the time :P
