Performance Problem, Low FPS Drops with GTX1080ti
gargorias replied to kammi's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Hey! I know this is an old thread but just recently I went from a 980Ti to a 1080ti as well and I used DDU as well for a clean driver install! I am absolutely disgusted , Fallout 4 performance is down at least 40% to 60 % and I didn't change any game settings, anything actually except the drivers and the video card. Since then I have spent nearly 4 days trying to find out what the hell is going on, searched countless forums, tried several earlier drivers and I give up! I had seen several people with 1080ti's reporting issues on my Ultra Interior Lighting mod and now I know why! nvidia! -
In response to post #56089931. #56090416, #56100771 are all replies on the same post. Lets not forget that the longer a mod stays on the front page of Nexus the more downloads it gets!

 Try version 2.2 https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/22166/?

Try this but extend the pipboy and not player - not sure if it will work but perhaps the animation event is played on the pipboy and not the player! I am assuming that animation event exists! Scriptname LightTestThing extends ObjectReference Event OnInit() RegisterforAnimationEvent(self,"pipboyLightOn") RegisterforAnimationEvent(self,"pipboyLightOff") EndEvent Event OnAnimationEvent(ObjectReference akSource, string asEventName) if(asEventName=="pipboyLightOn" && akSource == Game.GetPlayer()) Debug.Notification("Light on") Debug.Trace("Light on") elseIf(asEventName=="pipboyLightOff" && akSource == Game.GetPlayer()) Debug.Notification("Light off") Debug.Trace("Light off") endif EndEvent

Wall and floor glitching with automatron DLC
gargorias replied to Arkahels's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Load up just Fallout 4.esm and DLCRobot.esm in FO4Edit and run an identical to master filter you will see it's a Bethesda bug. There are two identical to master records in DLCRobot.esm for General Atomics Factory and whenever you have a cell that has these in it you are likely to get things not rendering properly! -
Yes and no. The biggest update to Skyrim is the transitioning from 32 bit to 64 bit, followed by the moving to a new engine (Skyrim/FO4 hybrid). The graphical enhancements were done in large part by the integration of the HD DLCs and some bits seemingly taken from ENBs. It's probably a lot more indepth than what I mentioned, but this seems to be the jist of it. Sorry I left out the recode to 64 bit but it's not a new engine - just slightly revamped! Graphics wise - a nice comparison could begin with the Creation Kit - taking a look at the lighting template differences. Skyrim SE also still uses DX9 functions which are non-existent in Fallout 4 - checked with CFF explorer! It also still has the 4 dynamic light limitation - unlimited in Fallout 4 and the volumetric lighting is fake and looks horrible quite frankly!

That is not true! You talk of mods that came out a long time after Skyrim was released! There are plenty of good mods for Fallout 4 but it's hard to make some as even a simple Script Extender function like GetName() is missing. It's a shame that F4SE is taking so long and it pains me to see it now put below the new Skyrim!! Skyrim SE is no different then the original game, it is just a graphical enhancement and not a good one at that!

There is still no head tracking from the player in Fallout 4 unless you engage the other person in dialogue using the "USE" key default is the "e" key.

Immersive / realistic "Must be Made" mods
gargorias replied to zekevalentine's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
 I'll be working on changing most of the remaining interior lights to dynamic and removing unsourced lights as soon as we have the Geck! I,m also hoping someone/s will start working on opening up all those boarded off buildings - something like NVInteriors from New Vegas :woot: [EDIT] Sorry I should have been more specific, by dynamic I meant lights that cast shadow! Well I decided to give NMM a try and it changed the load order of all my mods to something that didn't work! Would not suggest anyone to use this unless you know how to backup your load order file!

Unfortunately I am not, that is a vanilla lighting shot.

Anybody else getting this, i,ve stopped modding and playing the game because of it - only occurs at night. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v224/gargorias/Skyrim/GrassShadowProb.jpg

A Question Concerning the Creation Kit
gargorias replied to gamertaylorb's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
 OK for the OP and anyone else looking at this thread for an answer it is now solved. In the Cell View Window make sure you select Tamriel as your World Space and that's it any cell you open from there will be populated by all its objects. Now all I need is a cell grid map like I had for Oblivion! -
