  1. I'm having this problem for ALL mods. I disabled my anti-virus and it still won't install mods. Vortex asked for me to give it permission, then windows asked for me to give it permission, I click on yes both times but it's an endless cycle.
  2. OK, I looked at that video and it clearly says it's an SDX mod in the file name (SDX Elevator A17 v0.2.2.rar). SDX was removed from 7D2D with the release of Beta 17. The only way to make this work is if you install SDX on your server, your game, and everyone else has to have it installed. SDX is also not supported by Funpimps anymore so getting help with it is a bit difficult. So unless you know what you are doing this mod is not going to work for you. Sorry. It's also out of date so it might not work work anyways. I suggest you visit the official 7D2D forums and look at the mods section there. Link below. You may find some mods you like there as well. I know there is a vehicle pack that has a helicopter that is really nice, and there are many modders that can answer your question about mods as well. https://7daystodie.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?61-Mods
  3. Ok, I don't know what exactly you mean by a "Black Hole". As for the vehicles you mention, yes those would be really cool, however those are a BIG ask and I kinda doubt you will get much help with those. There are some mods that add new vehicles but that takes a lot of work to make and as the game is now all you could do is just drive them around. Meaning the tank wouldn't shoot anything and the Bob-Cat wouldn't bulldoze anything because ground modification just doesn't work that way in the game. Believe me, I wish it did. In order to make a new vehicle you need to make 3D images for that vehicle and that is a skill that most modders do not have. It also takes a lot of other coding and resources. So you need a very advanced modder just to make a drive-able vehicle that looks like what you are asking for. Elevators are something that are just not in the game at all and I'm not sure if they could even be made with a mod. Moving parts are something I haven't seen in this game yet. So things you want to the extent that you want are most likely not possible yet and I kinda doubt they ever will be.
  4. I know this is an old thread, but in case anyone else needs this I got this from a video tutorial by a guy named Buggi from the official 7 Days To Die forums. In the Youtube video description he linked some example mods and this was part of one of them. So if you use it please make sure you give him credit for his work because it's just the right and respectful thing to do. Here is a link to his video and there are a lot of other handy mod examples you can download in the links in the description. Worth looking at, you might just learn something. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1463&v=wtVfBjUlSN4 <MeltTimes> <append xpath="/items/item[@name='resourceRockSmall']"> <property name="MeltTimePerUnit" value="0.01"/> </append> <append xpath="/items/item[@name='resourceScrapBrass']"> <property name="MeltTimePerUnit" value="0.01"/> </append> <append xpath="/items/item[@name='resourceScrapLead']"> <property name="MeltTimePerUnit" value="0.03"/> </append> <append xpath="/items/item[@name='resourceScrapIron']"> <property name="MeltTimePerUnit" value="0.01"/> </append> <append xpath="/items/item[@name='resourceIronFragment']"> <property name="MeltTimePerUnit" value="0.02"/> </append> <append xpath="/items/item[@name='resourceBrokenGlass']"> <property name="MeltTimePerUnit" value="0.01"/> </append> <append xpath="/items/item[@name='resourceClayLump']"> <property name="MeltTimePerUnit" value="0.01"/> </append> <append xpath="/items/item[@name='resourceCrushedSand']"> <property name="MeltTimePerUnit" value="0.01"/> </append> <append xpath="/items/item[@name='resourceCandleStick']"> <property name="MeltTimePerUnit" value="0.01"/> </append> <append xpath="/items/item[@name='resourceDoorKnob']"> <property name="MeltTimePerUnit" value="0.01"/> </append> <append xpath="/items/item[@name='resourceRadiator']"> <property name="MeltTimePerUnit" value="0.01"/> </append> <append xpath="/items/item[@name='resourceTrophy1']"> <property name="MeltTimePerUnit" value="0.01"/> </append> <append xpath="/items/item[@name='resourceTrophy2']"> <property name="MeltTimePerUnit" value="0.01"/> </append> <append xpath="/items/item[@name='toolAnvil']"> <property name="MeltTimePerUnit" value="0.01"/> </append> <append xpath="/items/item[@name='toolAndDieSet']"> <property name="MeltTimePerUnit" value="0.05"/> </append> <set xpath="/items/item[@name='unit_iron']/property[@name='MeltTimePerUnit']/@value">0.01</set> </MeltTimes>
  5. Well I'm having the same problem with my batch files. I've used these literally thousands of times with Fallout 3, Fallout NV, Fallout 4, and Skyrim so I know the routine quite well. I have made and used so many of these batch files I can add and change almost anything in my games. But for some strange reason Oblivion wants to be a headache and not open the batch files. I too installed it to the Steam games folder - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Oblivion - and I'm wondering if that somehow is the problem. I have the retail disc copy of Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion GOTY Edition and installed it there so it could be launched from Steam. I have OBSE installed at - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Oblivion\obse_loader.exe - and it runs fine from there. I put my batch files in the same folder as the Game Launcher and obse_loader.exe. But when I type - bat SG (SG is what I named the .txt file to get soul gems) it says it cannot open the file. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game several times but still have the same problem. I even tried putting the batch file in the data folder and the default - C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion - folder but it still either can't find it or can't open it. I even tried making it an .ini file. Anyone else got any ideas?
  6. Is there anyone that could make a better map for the Soul Cairn please? I get lost in there every time I play through it. I find myself running around aimlessly trying to lift the fog of war blackened sections to try and get my bearings and it just takes way longer than it should to get though it. I know this is all a local map so I'm not sure how you would get access to the actual file in the game. The console command "FOW" does not work because it just makes the whole map black for some reason (maybe because it's a local map). I don't see any map mods that cover this part of the game. Trying to eliminate the FOW is very tedious because it does such a small amount at a time and the map only shows small sections at a time. That is one thing I have always disliked about the whole map system in Skyrim is the zoom feature on the local and world map is too limited with how far out you can zoom. And quest markers are absent on many quests. Are there any modders around that can work on a map mod for The Soul Carin?
  7. Yeah it looks pretty dull too. I mean the colors are all just washed out bleh. I think some really evil dark colors with some cool embellishments and enchantments are in order. Sort of like the Art of Magicka mod has only geared for vampires would be really nice.
  8. How could there be any copyright infringement when all you are doing is making an mp3 player? You aren't sharing any music or copyright protected material. You really just need something that you would set a directory to the folder with the music you want it to play. I think it might be better if you made it run from a radio station though, if that is even possible.
  9. What about a mod that will just play music you already have on your PC Hard Drive? No copyright infringement claim can be made if you own the music. Just basically an mp3 player in your pipboy you can tune to.
  10. Fallout 4 Pipboy Mod Request - Pretty much what the title says. I've done all the mods and .ini settings I can find, but it's still there... This dust, scratch or whatever you wanna call it that is around the border of the pipboy screen. In the beginning of the game, when you first get the pip boy, you pick it up and rub the middle part of the pipboy screen, but for some dumb reason your character doesn't clean the outside edges. Leaving this ring of crap that bugs the heck outta me. Can someone please help clean it? Glare- Well if you ever get in a certain spot you can't see nothing on the screen because of the glare of the sun or light. I would just like a nice clean, maybe even a flat screen look to the pipboy. I mean this is supposed to be 200 years in the future (actually more) why the old bubble tube screens are even there seems stupid to me. We don't even make them anymore now.
  11. This seems to only work for Fallout 3 and New Vegas. I don't see the option for it to look for my Fallout 4 Directory. I thought this was supposed to work for fallout 4 :(
