  1. Hi! The naming convention for combat music is pretty straightforward, you've got three types: CombatLow, CombatHigh and CombatBoss. Combat Low is the most frequent one, these tracks are triggered for small encounters (i.e. a pack of mole rats, some ghouls, a small amount a raiders, ect...). Combat High is triggered when facing more dangerous, and/or a large amount of ennemies. Combat Boss is triggered against most legendary ennemies, bosses and during some quests. Each combat tracks has a finale which consist of the few last seconds of their respective tracks, and are triggered at the end of combat. You can make yours pretty easily in any audio editing program.
  2. Yeah, I did not suspect the unofficial patches because those are usually pretty reliable, but thanks for taking the time to answer me anyways :)
  3. EDIT : Well I feel stupid now. Turns out the Knights of the Nine unofficial patch was causing the crash, but only when I had a master enabled. Did not suspect that at all. Sorry :/ Hello Oblivion community ! Deciding it was the time to play Oblivion one more time, I started to set it up, adding some mods as usual. When my setup was ready, I launched the game, only to find it crashing right after the logos, before the main menu. The usual culprit is a missing master file, but after a thorough inspection of my mod list, there was none. So I go the hard way and disable and enable mods one by one until I find the one that's causing the crash. After a lot of testing, research, verification of the integrity of the cache, a reinstall, I came to the conclusion that the crash was caused by loading master files (.esm). In my setup, there are three distinct master files ( Cobl main.esm ; CM Parterns.esm and Open cities Ressrouces.esm ).Simply enabling either of them caused the crash. So I'm here, out of solutions, hoping that someone knows a fix, or has an idea about why that is. I'd like to note that I had successfully played a modded Oblivion on the exact same system a few month before. The only change was that I upgraded from the regular Goty version of the game to the Deluxe Goty version. Here's my load order (note that this one loads fine, it only crashes when I add a master file - see above): oblivion.esmUnofficial Oblivion Patch.espUOPS Additional Changes.espOblivion Citadel Door Fix.espUOP Vampire Aging & Face Fix.espDLCShiveringIsles.espUnofficial Shivering Isles Patch.espUSIPS Additional Changes.espDLCBattlehornCastle.espDLCBattlehornCastle - Unofficial Patch.espDLCThievesDen.espDLCThievesDen - Unofficial Patch.espDLCThievesDen - Unofficial Patch - SSSB.espDLCMehrunesRazor.espDLCMehrunesRazor - Unofficial Patch.espDLCVileLair.espDLCVileLair - Unofficial Patch.espDLCHorseArmor.espDLCHorseArmor - Unofficial Patch.espDLCOrrery.espDLCOrrery - Unofficial Patch.espDLCSpellTomes.espDLCSpellTomes - Unofficial Patch.espDLCFrostcrag.espDLCFrostcrag - Unofficial Patch.espKnights.espKnights - Unofficial Patch.espMaleBodyReplacerV5.espOblivion_Character_Overhaul.espxulRiverEthe.espxulTheEasternPeaks.espxulCloudtopMountains.espxulAncientYews.espxulBravilBarrowfields.espBetter Dungeons.espxulLushWoodlands.espxulCheydinhalFalls.espxulSilverfishRiverValley.espxulBlackwoodForest.espImpeREAL City Unique Districts - All the Districts - Merged.espxulBeachesOfCyrodiilLostCoast.espxulColovianHighlands_EV.espxulChorrolHinterland.espxulArriusCreek.espxulSnowdale.espxulAncientRedwoods.espxulJerallGlacier.espxulEntiusGorge.espxulCliffsOfAnvil.espxulBrenaRiverRavine.espxulTheHeath.espxuldarkforest.espxulAspenWood.espxulFallenleafEverglade.espxulRollingHills_EV_withoutWheat.espxulSkingradOutskirts.espxulStendarrValley.espxulPantherRiver.espBHC_Expanded.espxulImperialIsle.espSide's Sailing Ships.espSideSailingShips-CliffsOfAnvil patch.espxulPatch_AY_AC.espRTFemaleReplacerV12.espLeveling Quick Fix 10.espImmersive Weapons.espNewThirdPerson.espSetBody.espAddActorValues_example.espPlayerClothingReplacer.espCapesandCloaks.espAlternative Start by Robert Evrae.espUVIII.espJADDockTunnel.esp With of course up to date Game (Steam version) and OBSE. 4. Hello guys, it's me again. So the CK is finally available, so I've tried to transform my music mod ( http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9663/? ) into a non replacer. I've added the tracks in the music tracks, added them into the music types, and after extensive testing, they won't play in game, I can't figure out why. I if more capable people could take a peak and tell me what I'm doing wrong, that would be greatly appreciated. In this link is the esp with the two boss combat tracks I've tried to integrate into the game : https://www.dropbox.com/s/stp88w9en6kjkxh/test.rar?dl=0 Also, before you ask, I have tried to use wav version, doesn't work as well. Anyway, any help would be welcome. thanks !

  6. Thanks everyone for replying ! lilkandeekid, I'll try that. To be honest, Fo4edit is quite intimidating, I'll try to know my way around it ^^
  7. Hello ! First I should preface this by saying that I'm not really a modder. I got in this section by releasing packs of music reliant on mods, not by making actual mods. ( TL:DR incompetent noob here ). So anyway, I made some music for Fallout 4 ( ambient music, combat music, ect... ), and I have enough tracks now to release a first version. Thing is, I do not know how. After taking a look in Fo4edit, it seems possible, but I have no idea as to what to do to actually add music ( without of course replacing the original tracks ) into the game. So if a, actual modder could give me a hint, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks !
  8. Quite a bit more actually. I liked the way Inon Zur perfected what is probably the Fallout theme now. These touches of piano were very good. I liked the ambient instrumentation, especially the bagpipes, sounds very good. The Institute music has a very Mass Effect style, which is both refreshing in context of the game and cool. And of course the hybrid-orchestral battle themes were on point ( maybe lacked a bit of punch due to too much reverb ). I wished the quality of the tracks in-game was better, sounds very low bitrate to me.
  9. Let's say I did a cover of the song ( at least, its beginning ), without using the original sound recording. Would it then be okay for me to upload it ?
  10. Thanks ! To be honest, I expect the GECK to be out when I have enough tracks to release the mod. Talking about tracks, I have the first combat track
  11. Hello people of the Nexus ! I should probably introduce myself before anything else, I am OrganicView, I also go by the name of CaptainCreepy, and I am a composer. I currently work on Beyond Skyrim and the Alagaesia mod project. If you've played the Summerset Isles mod for Skyrim that was released this summer, I made the music for it as well. So why am I here ? I wanted to present a project for Fallout 4 : write new music for it. I love the soundtrack of the game, and like a lot of great soundtracks, it makes me want to try to make similar music. Ideally, it would not replace any vanilla tracks, but if I happen to have enough music to release a first version of the mod before modders figure out how to add music to the game ( and I'm talking about atmospheric and combat tracks, not radio playlists ), then those early versions will be replacers. So, let's talk about the music ! In addition of the game soundtrack, I will draw inspiration from others soundtracks as well : Wolfenstein : the New Order by Michael John Gordon ( tracks like "Adrift" and "14 years" for the ambient music, maybe "Ransacked" for the combat ) and Battlestar Galactica by Bear McCreary ( tracks like "Blood on the scales", "Dirty Hands", "Admiral and Commander" for the ambient music and tracks like "Prelude to War", "Storming New Caprica" and "Last Battle of the Osiris" for the combat ). Please note that these are merely inspirations, and the most prominent style will be in line with the Fallout 4 atmosphere. So let's read less and hear more. Here are the tracks ( more are coming ) :
  12. Yeah, but if we have the file name, it's at least possible to do basic replacement with loose files, assuming loose files work like in Skyrim, right ? Edit : Didn't think about the nif files, but it should be possible to replace textures, or music pretty easily
  13. These are the two I know of : http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/8732/? Never tried this one, but it is quite endorsed. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30200/? I used this one for a Gandalf playthrough, works well. Just read the install instructions carefully and you'll be all fine.
  14. No problem between Skyre and the unofficial patches. Just make sure the load order is correct and you're good to go.
  15. Okay, so UVIII was not the source of the problem, so I used the second method. What I should have done from the start really. I did not find the responsible ( though it seems like it was a CM partners plugin ), but fixed the problem, so thanks. This post is dedicated to the guard of the Imperial Watch I kept killing during the tests.
