  1. Thanks for the giveaway. Gonna give this a try!
  2. Yeah if you just want better housecarls without all the stuff AFT adds to the game I could make a small mod for you. It's really easy to do and it would give me an excuse to start up the creation kit again. :D Or do it yourself, modding can be a lot of fun. :)
  3. One simple way to make the game a bit more difficult is to simply don't upgrade your armor and weapons. You'll also use weapons and armors you never used before which is nice too.
  4. More robe than armor but still looks really cool imo. It's a simple black robe + steel plate gauntlets + steel cuffed boots and dragon priest mask (in this case it's vokun I think). I would call it Dark Mage or Warlock armor. http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2012/005/c/a/dark_mage_by_cadeskywalker-d4lfgxa.jpg
  5. 760 hours + all steam achievements. I'm not sure if I did every stupid "get this item for me"-quest there is, but I did most of them and finished the main quest+civil war several times and all the dlcs. For me it's completed which has the side effect that I really can't "touch" it anymore... To quote the ebony warrior: "I have done all that can be done. There is nothing left. No quests to be undertaken. No villains to be slain. No challenges to face."
  6. If you're a melee warrior and fight against a very powerful wizard use the fus ro dah-shout and you'll have enough time to close in and kill him before he even gets up. Same thing also applies to most other enemies of course, even the weaker forms of the shout can be very useful at early levels. Because of the "reload" time you can't just spam shouts so use it at the right moment and it will help you greatly. Also you're the dragonborn, the shouting is what makes you special, so use it. :D
  7. Did you set the morph and armor race? Do as described in this tutorial and everything should work fine: http://www.creationkit.com/Tutorial_Creating_a_Playable_Race
  8. I could do some testing as well. I watched all of your videos about it and I really liked it. The "trophy cave" looks awesome. :)
  9. As a matter of fact I always have the most fun playing as "elderly" man... No, I'm not talking about weird old guys like assbern, but the battle-hardened, mid-50s kind of guy. Sure, they're are not the strongest or fastest anymore, but they have a lot of experience and they sure know a few tricks your hot warrior chick or muscle hunk doesn't know. :D
  10. Oh, I know AFT, it's probably the best follower mod out there and I it use most of the times. I really like it. But the point is I want to make him an independent follower who doesn't need any mods to function properly. I want his inventory to work like the backpack menu in AFT. So no matter what equipment you put in his inventory, he will never use any of it. Sounds a bit weird for a follower, but I want him to stick to his own equipment.
  11. Hello, I like to create my own followers and currently I'm working on a mage follower which is a little more complex. I want him to use mostly his spells and a special sword if it's the best choice in the current situation. I also want him to wear a special set of armor (robe, gauntlets and boots) which he never changes even if he has better equipment in his inventory. It should be hidden as well, so the player can't take it from him (like Lydia's default steel armor). The same with the weapon, he should use his sword even if he has the most epic warhammer with over 9000 damage in his inventory. So my question is: Is it possible to do this without the use of scripts? tl;dr: I want to creat a non-customizable pack mule who only uses the equipment I appointed to him in the CK. Another question: Does anyone know a good fighting AI for this kind of NPC? Do these mage AIs only work properly if they have access to their related spells? For example if I gave him J'zargos AI, would that work even if he doesn't know the same spells like J'zargo does? I would really appreciate it if someone could help me with this.
  12. I'm playing a conjurer/barbarian. Fights usually start with me summoning a flame atronach and then a bound battle axe to charge with it into battle. I also wear light armor. (the elven one currently, despite me being a stormcloack^^ It just looks so nice with cabals retexture ) What's unique about this build is that I don't carry any weapons, I only use the bound ones. They are not overpowered and they have some nice effects if you have the related perks, so I'm fine with them. When I play my khajiit assassin I usually get some race related comments. I didn't play with him for a while but if I remember correctly they say something like "where are you kitty?" when you're sneaking but they know that you're around. "Kitty" then slits their throats though. Filthy bandits...
