  1. thanks Dave, I went to UESP Wiki and downloaded the Wrye patch that fixed the issue. That site is so useful. Bubba, there should be a new topic appearing when you talk to people called 'Prophet' or something about Anvil. Anyway the prophet that starts the quest is in front of the chapel in Anvil. Also, I am pretty sure when a moderator sees this he/she is going to reprimand you for hijacking this thread. So next time look around more before asking questions in a random thread! -Del EDIT: also one thing that this thread hasn't mentioned yet that is in the UESP Wiki is that if you have ALREADY talked to the priest at the Shrine of Kynareth simply moving the KotN to the bottom of the load order most likely will not work. You will have to take further measures like console commands mentioned above or downloading an .esp patch from Wrye Bash. Good luck!
  2. Well, I tried using OBMM to move it to the bottom of the load order, then I went and unchecked any mods I thought might conflict with it. Neither worked, and she still gives me only rumors. Quite vexing. Any thoughts on the exact mod that might cause the conflict? Any console commands I can use to work around? Any further help would be great. -Del
  3. I personally can't think of any reason why bloodcrust cavern would be the only cavern that crashes. It is an important quest dungeon though, that might have something to do with it. You might try removing certain mods to try and get it to work. Some mod you are running may be introducing some irreconcilable circumstance to the quest as soon as you enter the cavern. Unless you are running mods, I can't think of any reason the dungeon would be broken. If none of the mods are causing it you might have to reinstall oblivion. Then again, I would wait for someone to give you a second opinion before listening to me :D -Del
  4. Ha! Accidentally hitting the horse courier in the face with an arrow...that is gold. This one is not really a story. During one period of the game I was making several trips from Skingrad to Anvil (I don't like to use fast travel) and the road is literally lined with bandit camps. I would make short work of groups of bandits, and then come back through to find the camps full of bandits again. A short distance along the road from Skingrad to Anvil, theres a stone bridge. I decided that, as a warning, I would put the boots of the dead all along the low edge walls of the bridge. Needless to say there is quite a nice selection of footwear lining that bridge...and strangely the number of bandits I encounter has lessened....?
