  1. Hi. I'm hoping there might be someone who has an understanding of this issue I'm having. Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) app kept sending a message when I got onto my laptop. This message about an update has been repeating for a while now and I thought I'd go through with it. As soon as I did this, my D drive was taken away from it's location. I can see that the storage in D drive is now located in the IRST storage system view. I just don't know how to restore it to it's original location. I've come across several others in forums that have had this issue, but I've seen no fixes for it. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
  2. I don't have the best eyesight and my PC isn't a great rig for gaming. Your posted pic looks good in quality. I can't really see the issue, but since you seem to have a great set up and an eye for graphics, I hope you find a resolution, no pun intended. I wish my graphics looked that good. Sorry for the unhelpful comment.
  3. Sad you've gotten no responses to this. I've had this problem with Fallout Mod Manager (FOMM) some time ago, but I forget how to resolve it. Now I'm having this issue with Nexus Mod Manager for Fallout 4. Just yesterday, the issue started. My mods work, but I suddenly can't add any mods to NMM. Nothing happens. The issue for FOMM was that I needed to clean some files somewhere and then it started to work again. I guess installing and uninstalling a lot of mods over time is collected somewhere and eventually builds up where it needs to be cleaned up. I just can't remember where or how to do that. Hopefully, someone knows and can post here how to fix this. It's annoying.
  4. Any news is good news at this point. It's been fairly quiet. The anticipation for the Creation Kit has been paramount for some time. Glad to see fixes, updates, incoming DLC and at least a mention of the possibility of April being a month to look forward to. Thanks for the update on info.
  5. Yes, this should be asked daily. It's less than a week away from being 3 months from release. This is the amount of time it took for Skyrim's creation kit and they've been talking about release of Fallout 4 creation kit since before release. It's already been said that PC would get it first, then Xbox a little later. PS4 was the one they were thinking would take a little while to figure out. They're keeping pretty quiet about it, but really it should not take much longer.
  6. In response to post #30141325. #30141435, #30141540, #30141780, #30141855 are all replies on the same post. Great work guys! It's nice to see all the work that has been prepared in order to get things up and going before launch. Hopefully all the hard work will make the transition nice and smooth. I look forward to seeing the mod community come together for FO4 and make it the best experience to date. I'm psyched! Just a few more days...
  7. @Alexander2199 If you delete the door, how do you enter? @jones177 Tried that, no luck. I know I can multiquote, but I quoted wrong and I can't fix it.
  8. I don't think anyone with some common sense thought Nexus was a white knight for Valve or Bethesda. I can only speak for myself, but the good work done by this site is very much appreciated. I have a ton of respect for the group at Nexus and the mod authors that contribute. I wish this site many years of success. I agree the mod authors choosing to do this or that is their business. Whichever route they decide to go, best of luck. The "only response to mod authors, whether mod small or big or multiple, is "thank you". I can truly say that games like Skyrim or Fallout, as prime examples, are successful due to fact that they are mod friendly. The companies would quickly see that if they decided to make their content near impossible to mod, the sales would drop dramatically. The replay value would cease to exist. Their DLC content is largely valued, no matter how many mods there are out there. Usually their DLC offers mod authors material to work off of. It only increases value and a following of customers to purchase their goods. How anyone might not see this is just incredible. I think other companies would find that their games would generate a ton of extra profit if their games were mod friendly and if they were able to offer tool kits to make it happen. I have a lot of games I love, but replay only once in a while. Modding makes things new and interesting. You get to enjoy the game you love your way. I don't think anyone looks at DLC and turns their nose because of mods. Quite the opposite, more content! Sorry to hear about your travel plans being cancelled. Those types of trips are so very important, Dark0ne. Make sure to get back on that as soon as you can.
  9. In response to post #24565784. #24566209 is also a reply to the same post. Most mod authors know full well that their shared hard work is appreciated and do it because it's fun. They want to share and have others enjoy it as well. Every mod author has the right to do whatever they want with their content. Share it or not. They can go with this new plan of Bethesda's too. If so, i wish them luck. Most likely people will not see any substantial amount of revenue from this. People will find the free content to enjoy because a lot of mod authors will continue to release mods for free. The content that would be worth spending money on would have to be amazing and truly a "staple" mod that you just couldn't do without in order to really get a decent sum of profit. I really value the mod authors contributions, but this tactic from Bethesda is dirty in my opinion. All I see is, greed on their part. They're really digging deep for money on this one.
  10. I haven't been able to enter Castle Volkihar in years it feels like. I can enter the back or side of it when it gets to the part where you go looking for Serana's mother, but the front entrance, not the gate, is always a CTD. I've used console commands and nothing works to get inside. I can bypass the quests with console comands, but I can not enter that fron door at all. I also have to side with the Dawnguard so that I don't get quests from the vampires inside Castle Volkihar. My rig is fine. I run the game on about 100 mods and on ultra settings with a solid 50-60 fps. I use LOOT and BOSS. I also TESVEdit to clean the files required. I have no other issues with the game, just that entrance. I can also say that I've tried entrance on new intalls, new game, with zero mods and still I get the crash at the entrance. It really sucks because I like the Dawnguard DLC and playing as vampire, which I haven't been able to do in a very long time. I've been through the Dawnguard DLC a few times at least. I just wish there was a fix out there to get this going again.
  11. Dawnguard has been broken for me for a very long time. I don't remember the last time it worked. During quest Bloodline when it comes time to enter Castle Volkihar, just when I'm supposed to appear inside after entering, I always CTD. Now I can skip this part with console commands. Basically, I can't go inside the front entrance of the castle. When I have to enter the back entrance, it's no problem. The only thing I can not do is enter from the front entrance. So I have to use the console command to skip this part two or three times if I join the Dawnguard. If I want to be a vampire, well, I"m screwed. I've tried this over a dozen times on new installs, with and without mods. Nobody has reinstalled Skyrim more than I have, nobody! I'm sure there's a very technical way to figure this out, but I'm just not willing to go through the hassle. I can still enjoy Skyrim without playing all of Dawnguard. It just makes me a little sad because it is a good DLC. Every now and then I try to see if someone has found a fix. Seriously, i've tried everything. I love playing as vampire too.
  12. The endorsement changes are genius. I imagine a lot of mod authors are seeing numbers go up a bit. I always felt bad when I forgot to endorse. No longer an issue. Thanks.
  13. Thanks for the response. I figured it out and in the long run I found that aside from the literal process of installing a new graphic card, a lot more research on the right card is important. Not a fun day yesterday, but a learning experience no less.
