It's been 6 years, with no tangible evidence that something like this is being worked on. It's been a staple for previous Bethesda games, so I really hope we can see it through some day. If someone skilled enough is willing to take up the challenge, I will literally pay you $50 in DP, no joke

Sorry for the late reply, but I have inquired if this can happen in SE. I asked the developers of Ultimate Combat, they include a swing effect in that mod. (Unfortunately only for Oldrim and requires SKSE)
