  1. Yes, it did. Thanks! Was that last just one some strange aberration?? :ermm:
  2. I tried that and it didn't change the current situation. I'll have to wait for a new friend request to really see if it made a difference (and that could be a while ). I'm sure I didn't approve from the forums. I'm hardly ever here and I wouldn't even know how to approve a friendship from the Friends tab on the forum profile (which, incidentally shows a truncated list of friends) - I don't see anyplace to do that - but on the Manage Friends dropdown, I see the tab for pending requests but I definitely did not do it there - it doesn't even show xxxxxxx as pending - only the two that are on the Mods friends page as pending. Did I read somewhere that the Forum and the Mods websites were somehow unlinked? Is there a checkbox somewhere on the Mods website analogous to "Allow me to approve members . . ."? If the friend request was made on the Mods website (most likely) maybe the Forum checkbox is not effective? Also, I noticed there is no "hammersmcp added xxxxxx as a friend' in the About Me page on the My Profile Mods page.
  3. I received a notification - " You have received a new friend request from xxxxxxx ". I have the box "Allow me to approve members before they're added as a friend" checked in my profile, yet the request was processed and xxxxxxx was automatically added to my friends list without my approval. Following the link from the notification takes me to a Friends page (which shows 2 pending requests - which I have not approved yet and neither of which is xxxxxxx. It also lists the wrong number of friends - it only counts those that are listed on the page (x rows of eight names) and not those who appear if I click the "View more" button. Could this be a problem related to the way notifications are handled now? Or, had there been a change to the Friends methodology to automatically add them?
  4. In response to post #73985348. #73993273 is also a reply to the same post. Thanks. A good place for it. :)
  5. It's a nice idea to have a dedicated page for stats, but how does one navigate to this page? (Other than a browser bookmark or using the link in this article.) I may be missing it but I've tried to find a link to "About" under Mods, Community and Support.
  6. In response to post #69290631. Agreed. Looking at the full list of entries from the link, I believe the judges had a difficult task. :)
  7. Always good to know how things are going and where things are going next. Thanks. :)
  8. In response to post #68781866. #68792841, #68794466, #68794726, #68803631, #68837311 are all replies on the same post. @EDV120: It looks like you got some interesting (and rare) discussion about your work. Constructive criticism - explaining what you don't like or what you think could be better - is very useful. But it also takes time and effort and caring. There are so many images and so little time. :D I think many people see something they like (and some 'sets' are quite lengthy :) ) and they just want to give the poster a "pat on the back" and move on. They don't want to take the time and make the effort needed to provide a well thought out critical response to every post they see. And I don't blame them - because I'm in the same boat. Unfortunately, this 'culture' can lead to a lack of understanding of the nature of criticism (and a dearth of constructive criticism) and result in the 'flame wars' that apparently got deleted when this thread got off the subject of the contest. Personally, if I were going to offer any criticism, it would only be to someone I know who would understand my intentions. So, thanks for helping me to understand what went missing. :)
  9. In response to post #68796476. #68796921, #68796971, #68797196, #68797266, #68797556, #68797911 are all replies on the same post. I didn't see the part about changing outfits. If you're talking about openactorcontainer 1, I believe this works for Skyrim as well. :)
  10. In response to post #68781866. #68792841, #68794466 are all replies on the same post. @Artsick: Thanks very much. :) I see how it fits into the overall picture. I hadn't read all of the comments on all of the entries. I appreciate your help. :) @Fyrcynn: I guessed that something was missing but not the reason for it. Thanks for the info. :)
  11. Am I missing something? I don't see this critique anywhere in this interesting thread and I've read the whole thing.
  12. It would be interesting. But, I would probably only buy one thing. Would you be able to maintain a store with such minimal purchasing?
  13. I found this in the terms and policies: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?app=forums&module=extras&section=boardrules "You only retain the rights to files you have uploaded to a Nexus site. You do not own the rights to files or content not posted by yourself that might have been created as a result of your content being available on any Nexus site, including, ... images created by other users,..." I believe this means that any images posted which contain assets provided by mod authors are owned by the image poster and not the mod author. In other words, you only need permission from the image posters to use their images in your mod. It would be useful to get confirmation from a moderator, but it seems fairly clear.
  14. In response to post #56090321. I don't expect mod authors to provide the same level of support ("anytime we need them") as sopmac45 does, but could there be a way to cancel your unique download if the mod does not perform as described? Or will there be some kind of moderator oversight to determine if a mod is deceptive?
  15. How would a "mod" page that contained, for example, a BodySlide or an FO4 LooksMenu preset (or presets) be handled? (I put mod in quotes because of my personal opinion that these are more like designs than actual modifications to the game. The underlying mods, like LooksMenu for example, is a mod because it changes the way the original game allowed you to design your character.) I can see that if real world value is involved then this type of "mod" is opening up a can of worms - starting with flooding the site with a multitude of preset "mods". Why group six presets into one "mod" when you could get a greater download count from six separate "mods"? Also, if one mod requires another mod to be able to function, is it technically using assets from the required mod? If yes, then the authors of a mod like BodySlide or LooksMenu or MCM are going to be inundated with requests to use their assets with the possible result of discouraging them to create such mods. If no, then the "mod author" (myself included here) could ,theoretically, be getting real value on the back of their very much more difficult work. I am aware that many people do work long and hard on their character designs or, as in FO4, settlement designs, and feel that if they publish them, they should get some credit. But, those underlying mods should get some credit, too. Will you be able to accommodate them in this system? Maybe I'm rehashing issues already debated and, if so, I apologize.
