Well I am alternating Skyrim Winter Overhaul, the default mode, and Summer Skyrim (did not try it yet) based on the Tamriel calendar. Just google up "tamriel calendar." Also the mod "A matter of time" will tell you what season it is. This approach kinda works ok with the survival mods. Even though I have to wear much more stuff than the NPC's (I use Winter is Coming and the cloak mods). I remember how great Daggerfall was. It changed seasons by default. The landscape would become snowy in the winter. Aside of the NPC behavior this is how I get closest to simulating seasons.

Hi, I think it may have started after playing around with the FOV but I am not sure. As you can see in the video below, after shooting an arrow its copy appears on the right side of the screen for a split second. It does not interfere with the game but is distracting. It only happend in first-person. You can also find my load order below. Currently my game runs with 221 mods. There are mods that I'd like to install but they require Dawnguard. I got nothing against Dawnguard and can buy it but I am worried it may mess up my game because all these years I installed the "no Dawnguard" version of many mods and I don't remember which ones they were. Worst case I can check each mod and try to revise them. But I am worried (as a non-technical person) if downloading Dawnguard can change some key fundamental resources, scripts, etc., which may cause problems given the previous alterations done by so many mods and texture packs. I concur. Especially mountain climbing.. I mean running side to side like a crazed chicken is simply stupid. Elderscrolls games stopped having the climbing ability after Daggerfall.

Hi! I think it would me great if someone who wields modding powers made a mod where the compass is round instead of bar-shaped. Even though I use IHUD, I can't bear the current compass.. it makes me feel like I am Terminator or something, just not medieval enough.

Here is what happens: if I delete skyrimprefs.ini from my documents/games, the game launches in a very small window but with great performance. When I put skyrimprefs.ini back into the folder, the game launches in fullscreen but with low FPS. The case with the high performance is even higher than when I had just installed the game and did not run any mods. I am now reinstalling skyrim to see if I can attain the FPS in the former case. (I was running the game with around 150 mods). Is there any obvious thing that I am missing here? Or do you guys think it is simply the mods that messes the FPS even though even the initial clean install did not run as smooth as the "small window-no skyrimprefs.ini case? Thanks!

Hi, Is there a mod that partly removes the visuals from concentration destruction spells? So for example when you use sparks, you can still see the electric charge in your palms, but when you use the spell, no sparks radiate from your hand. However, you still see the impact on the target, while seeing nothing between your hand and the target? Thanks!
