  1. Aren't you tired of arguing ? 1946+ posts of trolling... * The modding community developped because it was free. * The majority (and not only the majority of leechers) don't want modding to turn in a cheap-DLC (not always sold that cheap) workshop without any quality assurance. * Being rude is wrong. The paying mod system is a wrong system, but there is no reason to be insulting towards the modders who wanted to be part of a wrong system. * We should all be grateful to all the modders who left freely the result of their work for all to share. * Last but not least, nobody will read the 2000 posts of flaming and complaining. Maybe it's time to move on to something more useful. Excuse my english, I'm french and arrogant. Peace to all.
  2. In response to post #24765204. #24765939, #24766349, #24766914, #24767844 are all replies on the same post. Loud trolls dont really make the "true face of the community". ... well, I hope so :s
  3. In response to post #24730754. #24730929, #24731149 are all replies on the same post. If you dont want to use their mod for any reason, just dont use their mods. If you want civil war, have it ingame, not on the nexus :D

I think the titles "Give me Money for No Reason" and "Pay me for doing nothing" were aimed at Valve and Bethesda, not at modders in general. But yes, you have people who don't understand at all what modding is about, who just behave like consumers in the worst way. They were very loud during the shitstorm. They are the same people who complain a lot on the comment section. I do believe this paying mod thing was a very bad idea, but I do show respect to all the time modders spent working to improve the game.

The only modder I found disappointing was the creator of Midas Magic, who invented the free mod with in game ads ! And the few guys who proposed cheat items for pay. The community has been divided, it won't heal it wounds with resentment. Modders at the SkyUI team surely deserve more donations than what they got for all they did, they don't deserve that amount of hatred because of what they could have done.
  6. In response to post #24636769. In game pop-up in "free" mods for the paying version, paying cheat mods, lawsuits coming soon for copyright issues, talented modders getting insulted, mods getting hidden by their creators, shitstorm all over... I dont know what you consider as long run, but the short term consequences are very clear.

In game pop-ups with "buy the full version" ads when you install a free mod... They did it ! http://steamcommunity.com/app/72850/discussions/0/611704730316862297/?insideModal=1 (More to come soon)
  8. In response to post #24634024. The modding community is already kinda divided, and the shitstorm is not over. Coming soon : lawsuits between modders. Thank you Beth and Valve.
  9. In response to post #24633209. #24633374, #24633709, #24633739 are all replies on the same post. And then the sky UI team will threaten them with lawyers... (If the skyUI team doesn't, one day or another it will arrive with money involved...)
  10. I just understood : SKSE bet 1.6 is fine. It's scriptdragon that is not updated yet. I just removed scriptdragon and everything goes fine with skse
  11. Version 1.8 installed itself, and I couldn't run the game with my old SKSE. I went to the SKSE site and downloaded their beta 1.6 version that's supposed to run with 1.8 skyrim. When I launch the skse loader, I have a "sciptdragon critical error" message telling me my game version is not supported, along with a list- of supported patches, from 1.1.2.1 to 1.5.26.0 Anyon has an idea of whats's going wrong ? I tried to revert to 1.7.7 skyrim, there was no error message but it crashed on opening just after the Bethesda logo.
  12. I uploaded a very simple mod tha totally removes the glow. I don't have the skills to make it subtle ^^ http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/25263/
