I'm not seeing any answers so I shall ask I speak English. I play in English. A mod in another language is of no use to me. Is there somewhere I can set search to display only English mods? TIA

I can't even reach the prompt. I wouldn't be betting my computer on that statement. Norton is a mere shadow of what he used to be. now it's just bloatware. Defender and Common Sense work well together for W8 and W10, a little Malwarebytes doesn't hurt either. As for the false positives, yep AVG, Avast, Kapersky if you have Heuristics turned on find pieces of code that match pieces of a virus but are not in fact a virus, just a line of code is similar.

Well, Google and BingBong are sort of useless these days but I have searched for this question as best I can sorry if it's an asked and answered. I have SE, NMM, Loot, Wrye and a box of Alphabits in case I need more letters. Loot seems to be doing things pretty well for a new game, although it did default to standard Skyrim a couple times even though I have uninstalled it. That's ok. The problem is NMM and WRYE both ignore the Loot load order changes. I know Loot is working because each test load I check the mods catagory in-game and the order is true to Loot not to Wrye/NMM. So the question is [tangent here, WRYE LOCK ORDER is off, no select icon} why do the other two files not see the new order. Is there a lock order in NMM that I can't see. The game is fine but obviously Bashed Patch is going to be funky if it's working off a separate load order than the game. Wrye is run from within the NMM enviornment. Thx

They always do. And rightly so, the premium users [of which I occasionally am one] support the site. They also give those of us who go premium a few times a class called Supporter which is not quite premium but it's pretty damned good.

Well, I doubt that Bethesda has much to do with this at all. They specialize in writing great stories on unworkable engines and not much else. Valve on the other hand has been one of the biggest detriments to PC gaming ever. After buying my Skyrim GOTY and for my $60 getting a tiny black box and umm..... uhhh.... yep, a tiny black box. I still have my ultima 3 and 4 cloth maps, my Bards Tale collection of junk and other things but now you can go online if you want the manual.... Actually you MUST go online to play a full version you bought of a game that has nothing to do with the net. The only reason I found out about it was to go online and check the CWO thread to see if my fighting past this piece of junks constant crashes had any fixes [my ONLY crashes are Civil War related rest of game 100%] and here he's shut his mod down because.... well, I don't get any of it. To me it's clearly an attack on Nexus and TA by Valve, likely supported by Sony since it smells like their crap. Ahh well, there's 1000 other games not Steam related out there, time to open the drapes and see the world. ps: When a mod fails or causes constant problems... do they offer refunds?

My suspicion is you use EFF. I am also waaaaaay into the game and have consistently had follower 'oddities'. I use EFF which I am quite certain is the cause of the trouble, Anna NPC is completely unworkable and haveing one of the nastiest mod writers out there doesn't help, Ceri has received over a dozen clam chowders [her own], at least 40 thanks and we're married and still nothing. Arissa also has some oddities. Now since these mods have really nothing to do with each other and EFF has been updated, I call DINGO. In other words, EFF is buggering up the non-Vanilla type followers. Hopefully when I get around to Serena she is ok. I don't even want to think of doing an unistall of EFF this far into the game, no way that doesn't blow up on me.

Try to reduce your AI and viewing distances, make sure your AI is at least 10% less than your view distance and if still happening, coc to somewhere else and come back to that point. I get this crash occasionally and like you couldn't be bothered to spend hours chasing down whether its a grfx glitch, a sound file not playing at the right time or even the game engine trying to put two things in the same spot. My guess would be sound more than grfx although it could be the two playing poorly together. When I coc around it and come back, the crash doesn't occur so it seems to not be a permanent problem and with it happening at a cell load, my suspicion goes to sounds.

3.8.0.0 [the version currently here at Tes] works with Vista and the fixes. The version 3.8.0.118 out on the net does not.
