  1. I'm totally on board with this "free labor for a stranger" thing. Expect weekly progress reports.
  2. I wouldn't pay for -any- of that. Hell, you don't have to pay for the Hellfire or Stealthsuit. That horse armor? I wouldn't download it for free, much less pay for it. Not that Beth gives you a choice apparently, given it's in the update. TumbaJamba does better stuff before he gets out of his pajamas in the morning, and his stuff is free. Minimum wage begets minimum work, Beth.
  3. Same as me, only thing is I couldn't care less if people want boobs and ass or penises and balls, it's their choice. What I do have a problem with is when people come to other people's mods and then criticize them for what they make. Like people that come into my mods and criticize me and ask me dumb questions because I make a lot of barefoot outfits. As if nobody ever saw feet before I started making mods. Boobs and asses are okay, but God forbid that someone makes non-skimpy barefoot outfits. Try making AB conversions because you like your own particular AB preset, but also find the default AB shape way over the top. I get nailed to the wall a lot and end up deleting them, but I'd invite anyone to look at the pics I upload myself from my profile versus the ones I put in the mods. I usually also invite them to look at how the screenshot pics are ordered for the Tina DeLuca mod - they're all CBBE with a couple AB stuffed at the back. I believe that casual browsers have a right to not be assaulted with pics of boobs so large they have small moons orbiting them and schlongs so large the guy keeps tripping. I admit I learned late, but I adjusted. I try to keep the hotfile, background, and browsing images above all that now in particular. But I also believe that it's pretty tough for a mod you don't care for, or even find tasteless to ruin your own gaming experience - just don't download it, don't comment, and move on. I try not to bite at the troll bait, but it got to be too much on one occasion recently, not to be too specific, and I regret it. I rezipped my lips and just moved on. There is always a constant trickle of trolls whose games are apparently completely destroyed by my mods. You'd think my mods killed their dog and stole their wallet in real life too by how invective it gets. As for rape mods.... well, that took a dark turn quick. I'll pass, not download, and not comment. If someone wants to fight to get it removed, that's their business. Personally, more power to them (the people trying to get them removed). Speaking of which, is there a way to "block" mods from your own browsing? I know there are tags, but it might be helpful if someone were browsing and come across a mod that is something pretty disturbing, like say ohhhh.. one that turns the chair cushions into naked decapitated bodies (this happened). Is there a way to block yourself from having to see that crap again? I saw this as a person who could benefit from it and someone who knows others could probably benefit from not seeing my mods. I thought Vault Buddy was messed up, but that was in a good way. That chair... man, I'm going to remember that picture I tell you. Admittedly, this got off topic. Sorry for the inconvenience.
  4. Lol... Yeah, I installed one for my wife. Fair is fair. hehhe :D
  5. I use a manual download for everything and then install from a local drive with NMM. I still have most of the mods I've ver downloaded. Bethesda is getting free advertising, expansions, testing, and can even wash their hands of something goes wrong with a mod.. you'd think they'd spend a little time to secure modder property. You'd think this site would give some priority to the modders who attract clicks and advertising dollars and protect them too. You'd think.
  6. Yeah, that was dumb of me. If I wanted a vanilla body for reference to copy bone weights, just use the damn vanilla body. It's all copacetic now.
  7. Can someone help me? I need to find a vanilla male body in the form of a bodyslide reference shape. People are asking for a vanilla version of one of my mods, and I can do the female OK since I just pull the FO4Vanilla slider all the way over, and I can even align the shapes on the male body right, but I have no male reference with bone weights to copy to the new item. Anyone have any experience here?
  8. Yeah. I'm staring at the new ammo loaded into it now in outfit studio dragged right from meshes/weapons/fatman/fatmanload.nif - which doesn't show up in game, still vanilla. :( I can't find where the game stores the damn loaded fatman image file. It seems easy enough for other people to apply their retextures to other weapons.
  9. Do you know where the default would be stored in the directories or where to access it in FO4Edit? I thought it would all be under ammo and weapons, but apparently I'm wrong. p.s. Thanks for your snap-point tutorial, I'm using it for yet another mod.
  10. Hi, I'm trying to retexture the mininuke, the loaded fatman mesh, and the mininuke during the reload animation. So far I have replaced: meshes/ammo/fatman/ammofatman.nif and ammomininuke.nif (two mininuke meshes) as well as meshes/weapons/fatman/fatmanload.nif (a mesh of a loaded fatman, which I presumed was what the game showed when it was equipped) but so far only the projectile in mid-air has changed. Despite taking a crapload of time to use 3dblender and manually delete out the mininuke in fatmanload.nif, it has not changed in game. The PC still holds the same vanilla fatman with a loaded vanilla mininuke and the reload animation still shows a vanilla mininuke being loaded into the fatman. When I pull the trigger, the projectile that flies through the air is what I did, but nothing else. Where am I going wrong? Where are these meshes stored in the game? Where is the fatman reload animation in FO4Edit? Thanks in advance.
  11. Yes I am. I have no idea where the glitch might be happening, but it's got to be easily fixable. I hesitate to even call it a glitch, as I'm sure I'm just doing something wrong. I just have no idea what I'm doing. I got it this far only because I played with the 'type' under the mesh options in outfit studio until the 'environmental map' option made them show up. And I've got no idea what that is nor what the correct setting would be. Most of the settings cause a CTD when it tries to render the outfit. I've been reading up on it, but the learning curve is tremendous. The sort of stuff pictured below happens - huge artifacts sweep in from one side and go out the other in relation to the camera's angle with the chems on the mesh. They stretch off to infinity and are comprised of colors from the chem textures. Here's some more shots, notice it is sweeping off the screen into the sky in the second shot: http://imgur.com/hYXiGho http://imgur.com/SppU2cZ
  12. I got it working, but not under default settings. Now I get strange visual artifacts when the camera is at certain angles to the chems on the outfit. This has all been trial and error, I've got no idea what I'm doing. I'm sure this problem is just a setting too: http://imgur.com/yI1gSZy
  13. Hello, I posted this in another topic, but it wasn't getting any responses. Forgive for the double-post. I'm having a problem with outfit studio. I'm trying to make a new mashup for my next mod, and part of that was integrating chems (the meshes) into the outfit. I extracted the loose files from the game with BAE and put their meshes, materials, and textures into the Props folders where the are supposed to be. So the loose files are there and rendering properly in studio and bodyslide. Then I added the meshes, as nifs, into the outfit. They showed up well, positioned pretty well and I liked it. So I saved, built, and opened the outfit in game..... Nothing. The outfit was there, the chem items I added simply weren't. Someone who was really good with Outfit studio had me switch them to skinned meshes within outfit studio, resave, and try again, to no avail. I can get ONE mesh from the top of the stimpak to show up, and that's it. If I double-click on the meshes in outfit studio, I get a mix of 'default' and 'environmental map' for types. I'm sure this is something really simple that I'm just not experienced enough to take into account. Outfit studio vs. in-game shots: http://i.imgur.com/Qug7bY8.png http://i.imgur.com/JNbFc9N.jpg Does anyone have any ideas why the inconsistent results and how to change this into something visible in game? Thanks in advance!
