  1. Nexus removing the ability to completely delete mods from it's service is tantamount to stealing. It's f***ing disgusting and should not be encouraged, regardless of what the end result was for.
  2. Heya guys! I'd like to start this request by saying I am dumb and I am not so proud I can't admit it. I've tried doing retextures already while following along with tutorials but something just never seems to stick for me. I'm a machinimator (machinima artist? Author? Whatever) and one thing that I believe could be invaluable to me and other media content creators would be a blue screen and/or a green screen tile set that is manipulatable and/or snappable using the settlement system. It would be best if it can ignore lighting as well. All we'd need is just a floor, a wall, and ceiling squares of pure #00FF12. I don't know about anyone else that might use it, but I know I'd be more than happy to include the author of such a mod into the credits of anything I'm able to use it for as it would be that much appreciated.
  3. In response to post #35668982. It's not easy finding professional voice actors that will work for free. Skywind does still have a certain standard for quality, though, that you seemed to have overlooked. Sure, not every single voice is going to win an award, but most of it sounds pretty damn good regardless. Besides, it's not like the TESRenewal team woke up one day and thought to themselves "Man, we better make this perfect for gx240", and it's stupid to say this entire thing sucks because of one comparatively small aspect that isn't perfect.
  4. Breaking a rule is breaking a rule, #1 or not. Especially if said rule is broken multiple times, and has been addressed in the past. The blame is solely on Ewi.
  5. Hello, hello, hello! The title is pretty explanatory, though I'm not sure if it's possible, but I REAAAAAAAALLY need a mod that would, for example let me: -go into a tfc like free cam -be able to FREEZE this tfc free cam -retain control over my character (W, A, S, D, crouching, jumping, running, walking, shooting, etc.) If anyone is able to provide me with such a mod, you will be giving a formal invitation to join Punch It, the team I'm in the process of putting together for a 10 episode machinima series which would allow you to see all the scripts as they are written and even discuss ideas you yourself might have, as well as having access to unfinished footage and the entire series before anything is released. So for anyone who might be interested, or maybe would like to help but wants more incentive, here's a little Star Wars inspired 'crawl' (by which I mean 3 small paragraphs, sorry, no animation/video) to summerize the jist of the series, which still has no name as for right now. KIND OF 200 YEARS IN THE FUTURE, BUT STILL FAR FAR AWAY (RELATIVE TO ME) HARVEY KEYMAN, a bodyguard by trade, is ready to quit the business. Retiring on his hard-earned caps, he travels south-east from NEW RENO through the NCR's home-town of SHADY SANDS and down through NEW VEGAS to find a home for himself down south. But not before a mysterious, and odd, gang come looking for him, leaving a trail of death and destruction in their mission to take him alive before a shady organization working behind the scenes who seems to more more about HARVEY's life than he does himself. Now, he's on the run across the MOJAVE WASTELAND and further to try and escape this malicious consortium, as well as a past he never knew he had. He'll need to be smart- He'll need friends, old and new, if he wants to get out of this alive. http://i.imgur.com/xTEApIe.png
  6. Arrenius Midoronia, Molag Mar, Northern Terrace Fortunately, the wind had died down by the time Arrenius made his way up the steep ramp that would take him into Molag Mar’s Waistworks. He covered his face in his cloak and took a deep, deep breath and thanked the Divines for it, as it felt like the first breath he had taken in years after traversing the western Molag Amur region. However, much like his small refreshing break, his sight was quickly cut short and everything turned black as the view of Molag Mar’s Northern terrace evolved into the dirty, stained weaves of a rough textile. A boot slammed into his lower calf and he was sent face-first into the hard stone. And before the blackjack was taken against the back of his skull, he heard a couple voices. He heard not what they said, but could easily make out the distinct gravelly sound of an Argonian, and another more human voice- Breton or Imperial most likely. Not nearly as slowly as he would have liked, nor as painless either, he blacked out. Arrenius Midoronia, Molag Mar, ??? When he came too, Arrenius was immediately aware of two things. One, his head throbbed as if a Cyrodillic Ogre had smashed him over the head with an Ebony Mace. And two, he felt way lighter than he should have. He lay there for a few moments longer, not daring to egg on the pain in his head, but when he felt it dissipate, at least a little, he at least found the answer to one of his problems. Four years ago, about a few months back, he had set out on a wild adventure after a revelation occurred to him as he lay in bed, his father’s staff nursing the scars and severe, ugly burns he had acquired in a bar. When he set out, his family gave him a number of gifts. One, being the family’s sword, and two being the armor his father wore during his time with the empire, made elaborately of moonstone. Neither of these was in his possession currently. The sudden realization jolted him to his feet, and subsequently back on his arse as the throbbing started again, though not as bad as before. He looked around, but could barely see anything. He was in a room, dimly light by a candle behind blue glass on a crate nearby, bathing the room in its azure light (which certainly only made it harder to find out what everything was, and made his head hurt worse.). Crates… Crates and barrels… And chests. Whoever had assailed him- that’s it, he realized, someone HAD assailed him- had left him to rot in some storage room. The voices came back to him, as he picked over what happened. The voice of an Argonian, and a human, he thought to himself. He rested himself against the wall on the bedroll he woke up on, and when he felt well again, he stood up and went about the room. The door was locked, of course. The crates were open, but as he suspected contained nothing of value to him at the moment (unless he were able to summon a fire like mages he had seen to cook the food, but then he’d likely suffocate himself in the small room.), and the chests were locked themselves. Well, Arrenius thought, looks like I’ll just have to wait… Two hours, or so he figured, passed before the sound of the bolts being unlocked sounded from the door…
  7. Arrenius Midoronia/ Molag Amur and Molag Mar Thank the NINE! Arrenius exclaimed inwardly. If he had felt this happy in the last two years, he didn't remember it. The very tell-tale sound of the Silt Strider nearby caused his heart to sore, as he had been deathly afraid the last few days that the map that had been given to him in Suran by a grouchy old Dunmer was a fake. If he ever returned to the man he knew he would give the old man a few more septim for no better reason than he didn't lie. Next time, I'll go NOWHERE on this damn island unless it is by Silt Strider... he thought to himself just as one such creature appeared just past a large gray cliff face, with the walls of Molag Mar following closely behind. He wrapped his burlap cloak tighter around him and his armor, though it didn't seem to help much against the winds and dirt (He felt now as if his once shining moonstone armor will never shine again through the dirt caked on. At the very least it would help him draw less attention.) And even though the hostile terrain and hostile weather that he couldn't wait to leave behind, he stood stark still at the sight of Molag Mar. He recognized the architecture, as he had traveled close to, but never into, the city of Vivec on his way here, but something about Molag Mar was different. It was a lone monolith, looking old and weathered, but still undeniably strong in the face of it's surroundings as if to tell the world "You will NOT be taking me!". Arrenius smiled as he lost himself in thought, but was startled out of his day dreams by the low melodic drone of the Silt Strider nearby. He laughed at himself for jumping, and quickly went along his way. For a few minutes all he heard was the crunching of the dirt beneath his dirt covered moonstone boots, but as soon as the crunching turned to thumping as he made it onto the bridge he quickened his pace. He scanned the walk ways as he went, looking for- "Ah! Excuse me! Kind guard!" Arrenius jogged over to the Bonemold-clad Dunmer standing just outside an entry. "Yes, traveler?" He asked, a certain edge to his seemingly friendly words. "Uh, yes I was wondering if you might point me to a place I might rest? I've been traveli-" "The Pilgrim's rest- a tavern, just inside the Waistworks. Look for it's sign outside. And up top you'll find St. Veloth's Hostel where you can get a room." The guard cut in, his voice monotone, his eyes hidden by his helmet looking straightforward. Arrenius brow raised. "Thank you good sir... I uh... Shall be on my way." To which the guard only nodded. Well then... He thought to himself. I do hope the rest are friendlier. He wrapped his cloak around him again, and made his way into the Waistworks.
  8. Hello, Roarian! I would absolutely LOVE to help you with this mod! 1. I would love to do voice acting if still possible to sign up for such. (can do accents, and I can sing so I know how to manipulate my voice) 2. I am a fairly decent writer, and I can make sure things fit in with TES lore including references and character/place names. 3. A lot of free time on my hands, so I could easily contribute whenever needed. 4. Professional recording equipment ;D If you're interested in letting me help, PM me here on the nexus or even on Skype under uncle.sikki
  9. Hellllo, everyone, SikSikSikki here. I was a member of the Nexus awhile back with a few minor mods in Oblivion, but I have, unfortunately, forgotten my pass. (might be a little long on the intro, so scroll down if you want to get to the point.) Now that the introductions are finished... Dungeons and Dragons has been THE fantasy game (not just the table-top, but in video games, books, and to a certain extent movies as well) for decades. It has everything you need from from the Goblins and Orcs to the Dragons and beyond. Over the course of the decades I mentioned, Dungeons and Dragons has expanded VASTLY. And I think it's about time we see more things from these wonderful genre's in The Elder Scrolls. Now that is to say, there has been many mods that have covered various things from the Guenwhyvar mod right here on the Skyrim Nexus, to the expansive Underdark mod that was created for Oblivion. I'm not just saying I want other modders out there to make my dreams come true... As I'm getting used to the CK myself after upgrading from the Construction Set and the NV G.E.C.K., I will be working on such mods... But I need HELP. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Some Basic Ideas: The Equipment: Across the different worlds, mediums, and universes of the Dungeons and Dragons world, there have always been tools for the hero, villain, or average adventurer to use that have always made fans wonder and wish they were real. Take the Forgotten Realms biggest star, the Dark Elf: Drizzt Do'Urden for example. He has a small arsenal that he always uses that would be fun and easy to bring into Skyrim. Twinkle and Icingdeath, his trusty scimitars that grant him better defence, as well as freeze his opponents EAT fire respectively. The bow given to him by his love, Catti-Brie, the enchanted Taulmaril the Heartseeker that can punch holes in rocks and is never seen far away from a quiver that never replenishes. And of course we can go to the Core Rulebook and check out the wonderful assortment of magical gear they give there... Be it literally god-like items such as the Eye and Hand of Vecna (personal favorites), the Coat of Many Things, Bags of Holding, Boots of Spider Climb (ever wonder why spiders in Skyrim can't walk on walls or cielings? Just spawn on them?), and so VERY much more. The Locale: As I mentioned before, there have been mods such as the Underdark that brought forth the Drow Elves home to the world of Tamriel. But where is it in Skyrim? Not that I'm saying the original author of said mod should get to work on it.... But take a good look at areas such as Black Reach under Alfthand. Tell me that wouldn't make a damn good base for a true-and-blue Underdark mod! You could even bring the Drow, which are supposed to be Dark Elves, as a different RACE of Dark Elves. Much like Americans as opposed to citizens of the U.K. and so-on-and-so-forth. Aside from just the Dark Elves, there are many other beautiful and awe-inspiring places we could bring to the table. Sorry, if you're a bigger DnD fan than I and all I mention is things from the Forgotten Realms, it's simply a lore I know better. Anyways, we could bring locations that were brought to life in other video games such as Icewind Dale or, hell, even the CITY of BALDUR'S GATE in. And, get this my friend, we've already experienced an Elder Scroll created "Time Wound" that brought forth the World Eater Alduin to the 4th Era, so who's to say a time-wound couldn't steal locations from another "plane of existance"? The Cast: Without the lovely writers at Wizards of the Coast, and others such as the legendary R.A.Salvatore, DnD would be boring. Sure, the main thing is to create your own character, but just like in Skyrim it's hard to have a story without other characters who bring the world into perspective and give it a much greater depth. Simply for the fact that my descriptions could not do them justice, I'll post a nice little list of character names for you to search here: http://forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page (no specific order except whatever comes to mind as I write) Icingdeath (the Dragon) Errtu Lloth (or Lolth) Gromph Baenre Quenthel Baenre Drizzt Do'Urden Bruenor Battlehammer Wulfgar Catti-Brie Regis Pharaun Mizzrym Ryld Argith Artemis Entreri Obould Many-Arrows Ellifain and many, many more. If you're like me, you'll probably end up lost on the Forgotten Realms wiki just reading different stories, and such. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Request In Full: So hopefully I've managed to wet your appetite. What I'm wanting, in the end, is a team. Be it small, or large. Of texturer's, maybe modelers, definitely scripters, and the sort. I myself am learning to do all of this, so it won't just be my hiring lackey's to do my dirty work. In the end, there will be a story that has to do mainly with the Underdark, and hopefully more stories that have to do with other areas (such as Icewind Dale, as I mentioned.) If you are interested, I strongly recommend adding my on Skype and talking to me there. Everything I've mentioned here is just a small portion of the things I'm hoping we can do, and I can promise it will never get old. Skype: uncle.sikki E-mail: [email protected] (I will most likely not answer these. I'm terrible with e-mails.) Steam: PTO_Sikki0420
  10. This isn't going to be as helpful as I wanted, considering I don't have the link handy, but I do remember seeing a mod somewhere on the nexus that was supposed to remove those annoying striped shadows.
  11. Okay, so I'm making a New Vegas comic called "Heaven Wastes" and I've run into some considerably annoying problems that I can't seem to get past. See, I don't have Fallout 3 (yet) on pc, so I can't port mods over to New Vegas. And there are things I need from it... So I was wondering if there's a way around it. This is more or less the general "DEAR GOD HELP ME" thread, and I have looked for solutions myself to no avail so I'll post the problems here below... 1. -Weapons- I have no clue how to make NPC's draw their weapons for poses without starting combat, and it seems like there is or should be a way around that... I'm not sure if there's a console command or a mod that would help and I have tried looking. 2.-Facial Expressions- I did find a mod to help me with this one, but it's for Fallout 3 and, as I said above, I have no clue how to port mods nor do I believe I can since I don't actually HAVE Fallout 3. 3.-File Compression?- I've already gotten 3 strips of it done, but due to the mod sites 2mb(or kb... please don't judge me on my lack of file size knowledge DX) upload cap, I can't upload them here. I have uploaded them to DeviantArt however, but still... I'd rather have it on the New Vegas Nexus where I know at least one person will look at it without me goading them into it. My problem there is by the time I'm done with the whole thing, it's larger than the accepted file size, and I have no idea how to... um... make it smaller? Compress it? Whatever term works for it. Any help would be far more than greatly appreciated.
  12. I would love to very much, but is it is I do not have Fallout 3 (yet.) so it looks like I'm stuck with Cat-womans outfit and Jill Valentine's BSAA Outfit... I want more Resident Evil related things sooooooooooo baaaaaad....
  13. Thank you very much, Master Nyan Chief Cat. And no worries, I am no stranger to modding (this is a second account due to e-mail and password f*** ups) and therefore no stranger to copyrighting other mods. I hope that didn't come out callous, I mean it sincerely XD so many times have I posted "help" threads to which no one replied, so you sir get a kudos~ -watches video- Needs Fallout 3? FML...
  14. It seems to me, though while the Fallout New Vegas Nexus does have a good number of wonderful mods to enhance playing and the such, that number is a low one. I'm quite a bit late on the New Vegas front, having just bought it not long ago, but since I was a big fan of the Oblivion Nexus when I was playing FO3 on the X-Box, I tended to look around from time to time. My problem being, I see tons of things I seen in the FO3 Nexus, here in the NV images and all that but I can't find them at ALL in the files. So the big question is, how to I port mods (weapons, possible scripting, armor, clothing, etc) so that I can get these things in New Vegas? I'm really hurting for some new things, and just can't find what I'm wanting in the files section.
