  1. Summerset Isle is nearing it's finishing touches and I am looking for a number of beta testers. Currently I have just under 20 and am looking for 100. Having a large number of beta testers will allow the final version of the mod to be released much sooner than anticipated. You need to click below for Beta application to start the process. Mod link: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68406 Beta application link: https://www.patreon.com/posts/28034686 What to expect in the beta... I will have the mod fully alpha tested so the amount of errors should minimal for all beta testers. Here is a listing of what I would like the testers to test. 800+ fully voiced characters with over 25000 lines of dialogue recorded by 97 professional voice actors. 200 - 400 hours of gameplay 176 quests. 150 caves, dungeons and ruins. 5 world spaces. 37 spells. 4 hours of custom music. 2 - 3 basic companions 2 affinity based companions with romance options. Testing will be needed for both LE and SSE players. Links to recent videos showcasing the updated mod: Companions https://youtu.be/8-jUD1Lb8Tc Dungeons Chapel Quests Daedric Quests Once the last companion is implemented with his 2500 lines, I will be opening Beta. If you have any questions please do feel free to ask. Once Beta testing starts I will not be allowing any new beta testers. This will be your last chance to sign up for the beta.
  2. First issue is likely going to need an ifelse, but those things are very confusing to me. I have an actor who upon their death advances one quest, but that same person has their own quest where if they die it fails that quest. Currently the actor has two scripts on then that read. Event OnDeath (Actor killer)if (!SSIQ06.IsCompleted()) SSIQ06.SetStage(200) Endif EndEvent And the other; Event OnDeath (Actor killer)if (!SQ15.IsCompleted()) SQ15.SetStage(40) Endif EndEvent For the one that is SetStage(40) the player can kill the actor before starting the quest. I want the quest to fail if the actor is killed too early, but also advance the stage at the proper time. For my second question, I need to have a quest advance after 24 hours a number of times. I have read that this can be done with OnUpdate and a global variable but it isn't clicking for me. I basically want to do what is in this thread here: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/6447826-24-hours-between-quest-stages/ but I am not sure on the step by step parts. If someone could explain it to me in greater detail while using examples I would be ever so grateful.
  3. You are a life saver, I was convinced my pluggin was corrupt. My system set it to windows xp for some reason.
  4. Not sure where you're getting your information from son. If you have trouble installing my mod it because you didn't follow the simple instructions. There is a really informative guide here with a step by step walk through on how to get the most out of skyrim Skyrim Ultimate Modding Guide Its listed as for mages, but it works well for play-styles other than mages. It includes 5 quest mods including mine and no, using my mod won't crash your game or mess up your saves for unspecified vague reasons. Just make sure to follow the installation instructions. My mod adds about 60 hours of gameplay and has a number of worlds to explore in it as well as quests. Summerset Isle, my mod, has been rigorously tested will all lands mods and works just fine with all of them and a heavy load order. There is a guild on S.T.E.P. if you want to use Dyndylod with it. Again, just make sure you follow the installation instructions. All of the negative comments I received about my mod Summerset Isle is due to the users not following my instructions. I also have no problem offering support if you run into any snags ;)
  5. Thought I'd say something here. This modding community (Not Nexus) has had many ups and downs. One modder I really enjoyed left because of what people were doing with her characters. Another one left because of sexist double standards from the male members she was another favorite modder. Modders left during Bethesda.net with all the thefts that so few cared about and apparently was still a thing last I checked. Other modders left because of other modders stealing their work and taking credit. A number of modder I know will never share anything again but don't say so publicly, while others have inner circles and only share with friends. I tried explaining a year or so back to content thieves on Beth.net, each and every modder is irreplaceable, even if you don't like what they do, hey are all one of a kind and all bring something unique to the table. Modding for the most part is thankless, sometimes even when there is thanks there is enough burn to make the thanks lose merit. I get where NCRForever is coming from. I will be using Nexus mods less as I already have. If the forums change too much I will embark from here too. I'll leave my mods up, but provide support on sites that have less mobile functionality as that is my choice. The forums on here still work like I expect so answering pms and posting here is comfortable for me. If it becomes uncomfortable, I will only use it if I am required to.
  6. I get ya. Also I never said "they're not listening/they're ignoring us" I just replied to it stating that you never replied to me directly, you have now so my observation is no longer valid.
  7. Sigh, how shameful, that's a straight up lie. We've already changed several things since the initial launch news post was made, based on user feedback. I did mention in the private section that there is a way of having a site work on mobile phones without it looking like it was made specifically for mobile phones, which was my only issue. It still looks like it was made specifically for mobile phones and I haven't received a reply from you or any of your team in that regard. I can't assume that that you will act on my recommendation without any information replying to what I and a number of other mod authors posted. To clarify. I'm not opposed to change, but as a person who doesn't use cell phones and that avoids sites that are made primarily for cell phone users, knowing there is an effort to make it less obvious that it is cell phone centric would do a great deal to raise the moral and perhaps keep some of the modders who are leaving. I've kept an eye on these threads, your only mention was something about being listed as an a class by some internet website rating service. Internet website rating services are great I'm sure, but I would think that the opinion of the people that made your site a success would have more weight. I'm not suggesting that you and your people didn't go through a great deal of time and effort, but I am not interested in using a cell phone mod site for PC games. A number of people suggested keeping the PC version as an option, what is your reply? I have a premium account, it would be pretty nice if I was permitted to keep the site I offered $50.00 for. Why not allow supporters to keep the legacy version if they want, they have supported you and your site for years. They're the same. I get both and other variants and I don't place value one over the other. One person who went out of their way to try to hurt my feelings made a 20 minute video attacking my mod. I used that as a tool to make my mod better. There have also been some super nice mod authors like Tamira who was very kind and helpful to me. I appreciate both perspectives. When the person tried to profit off of making fun of my mod I put an end to it though. It's one thing to have strong opinions and another to try and profit from being butthurt.
  8. You're being passive aggressive and contradicting your own efforts by saying "Nice try. Grade-A effort at mischaracterization." "The comment, I freakin' hate this new site so much! is less likely to be helpful." Why should they or anyone try to help? Maybe they don't want to help. Maybe they think it sucks and they want a soapbox to tell it on and this is their soapbox. You are not going to convince 1 million people your way is the right way. Personally I have no desire to help improve the mobile nexus site. I don't use a cell phone so my opinion isn't going to be weighed in. I've already addressed all of the issues in private with those that make the decisions and my opinions were recognized by many, but however valid my criticisms are/were does not change the direction of the choices made for the site. I see no point in weighing in but I'm not going to tell others to follow me because we all have a right to think and act how we do without meeting some superficial level of indoctrination that you subscribe to. I didn't read Ethreon's posts because that is a habit I've adapted. I also don't look at user stats like post counts as they literally mean nothing. If I was trying to make honey, I would elect for bees as opposed to vinegar, but alas, I am not trying to make honey, nor are many of the people here. They understand the direction is fixed and some people have found closer in leaving the mobile nexus. Some people don't like the rain, they might verbalize it by saying, "I freakin' hate the rain so much!" without a desire to make it stop raining or elaborating on why they don't like it. Some of those people will leave for a place that isn't raining, others will endure, others will mouth off and still some will say they love the rain and encourage it. Suggesting that the people that mouth off about the rain try to be helpful is futile. As a mod author I have have numerous comments on my works. People hate it, people love it. People are indifferent. Trying to sway people that don't like what I've done is equally futile. They have a right to not like it or me or anything. Just let people be people.
  9. I think people who give feedback like this (and really, where is the feedback?) should be terrified of the idea of Ethreon ever becoming a moderator. lol There'll be beads and ban-hammers flying everywhere. I mean, seriously. Has conversational skill devolved to such a low point in our school systems where children aren't taught: 1. to properly debate an idea 2. give proper feedback/constructive criticism 3. enunciate their words 4. use proper punctuation It's not hard. Here's a quick infographic for you: Helpful = A like, a dislike, a suggestion to make it better, and a token of appreciation for the work that has been done you appreciate Unhelpful = A blanket statement, a statement that is simply a judgement call with no rationalization or justification, or a rude, unnecessary comment that does nothing to further the goal of making things better. Follow that guideline, and you'll be able to post brilliantly useful comments rather than eminently unhelpful rants. People are allowed to have opinions and share them on a public thread so long as it doesn't break the rules. This isn't school so I don't see why it should be treated as such. There are a number of people that say "I love it" Which is simply a judgement call without rational or justification using your standards. There are no comments here that are not justified. The person that says "I hate it" is just as right as the person that says "I love it" Please leave the moderation of public forms to moderators of public forms.
  10. https://imgur.com/a/5ITW3 I don't think anyone will have to worry about being confused at what is the ad and what is the mod, considering the ad space is about 110% of the size allotted for the mod page image and the first thing when you view a mod page. Whether or not it is the same dimensions as the previous PC version of nexus I am not sure, but it would seem based on the size and location, that to focus of nexus is not mods, but advertisements. For example, from your TOS: A slight rewording and the same logic should apply: Ads are gross.
  11. @Dark0ne, Why is the option to lock threads removed in the new version? Are we getting it back? If so, when?
  12. How many of these threads are you going to start? https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/6067163-mporting-mods-to-skyrim-special-edition-from-skyrim-my-proposition-list/ https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/6030398-importing-mods-to-skyrim-special-edition-from-skyrim-my-proposition-list/ It's getting a bit much from you. I told you no on 12 Oct 2017 and asked to be removed from your list, to be added to another list and PMed today as if I we never talked. Stop harassing me. odpieprz siÄ™
