wow, 8 years later and Bugthesda still hasnt fixed this issue, as I have the exact same problem. I first thought it was a mod that did it, so deletd the mod and replayed from an older save, only to find that it was this quest that did it to me too.

Ok, so I have a weird bug thats popped up lately. I have looked high and low on the internet but cant find anyone else with the issue. Recently I've noticed that when holding down the fire trigger, my player character decides to start moving/ running forwards! Happens when he is sitting or standing, aiming or not, 1st and 3rd person. I thought it might be some of my recent mod additions, so I uninstalled them, but its still persisting; no idea what could be causing it, but its infuriating! Has anyone else ever encountered this? And what fixed it if anything? Many thanks, Dangermouse
