xEdit reports no errors.

Yes, I installed the mod, then tried to load the .ESP in the creation kit and it just crashes the creation kit while loading up. The mod works fine as it is. I'm just trying to convert it to form 44 to be safe

Great that you resolved the issue. But you didn't mention you had Racemenu installed (SKEE). The skeleton mod (XPMSSE) and Racemenu (SKEE) are the ones that are incompatible with each other. Engine Fixes actually resolves the incompatibilities between those two.

I very much doubt the problem is XPMSSE being imcompatible with SSE Engine Fixes, since I use both of them without problems. I notice you don't have a Bashed Patch.... a BASHED PATCH (made with Wrye Bash) is ESSENTIAL to achieve a stable game. This guide : http://insane0hflex.github.io/moddingforge-skyrim/gettingstarted.html helped me tremendously with Skyrim modding, and while the guide is for the original Skyrim, you can find each tool in there for SSE as well, and there are plenty of guides on youtube showing how to use each one of them.

That's quite a list of mods with possible conflicts. You most definitely need a Bashed patch ASAP. When modding Skyrim I found these guides incredibly helpful : http://insane0hflex.github.io/moddingforge-skyrim/gettingstarted.html http://insane0hflex.github.io/moddingforge-skyrim/essential.html https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/76373 It is ESSENTIAL, that you make a BASHED PATCH with Wrye Bash, sort your load order with LOOT, clean your Master Files with TES5Edit, and also clean your mods' ESP files in the same manner. I also advice to read each mod's COMPATIBILITY section, and check for conflicting mods. Other than that, the quickest way to find out which mod could be causing the CTD is to start disabling mods one by one until you don't crash anymore. Good luck.

I am trying to convert this specific mod ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/58322 ) to SSE but the CK keeps on crashing while loading it. I know the mod "works" on form 43 but I'm not trying to take any chances. I already optimized the meshes, checked for errors in SSEEdit and took all the usual steps to converting it, just can't get the CK64 to load the esp, please help.

My game is crashing to desktop while loading my mods after creating a new character (through Live Another Life) in the abandoned prison (or whatever it's called). Its fine, thank you so much for your effort anyway. Its just a minor problem, I have A TON of mods installed and probably have bigger problems like CTDs that I'm not aware of yet, but usually the visual problems are what annoy me the most lol.

Yep. Unfortunately, that's just the way it is. At least if you want to stick with the vanilla male body. Adding special feet for beast races is possible OFC, but as I see it, this would require creating an esp on your own - or finding a mod that already changes feet for Khajiits / Argonians only. If I remember right, there are mods that give Khajiits and Argonians more "paw-like" feet. Don't know, if that's what you want. So - long story short - easiest way for now would be to install Skysight without the custom feet meshes. Maybe someone who knows more about Khajiits than me kaows a solution? Thank you. That is exactly what I did, I installed the normal feet meshes and everything is alright. Again, thanks for all the help!

YUP! The problem was that the new feet meshes from Skysight Skins were conflicting with the textures. So, if understand correctly, I would have to install a new feet mesh and texture for Khajiit or give up the mesh from Skysight Skins (The installer has option to keep Vanilla feet mesh)
